The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that it will not allow institutions to reject candidates arbitrarily or as result of sudden change in admission criteria.

This was made known by the Registrar, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede during the extra ordinary technical committee meeting on 2016 admissions to first choice institutions at Baze University, Abuja.

According to him, “JAMB will not accept whatever is done arbitrarily and I hope those that are here will make adjustment. They must be able to explain why somebody with high score was not taken. I have a particular school where the person who scored the highest marks was not taken and the reason was because the university changed its rules. You cannot change the rules when the game is on. You have to wait until 2017 to publish the new rules; you cannot have a particular rule and changed to another.”

He further mention that the admission criteria by institutions must be reasonable, explicit and must have been published in the 2016 admission brochure.

He equally stated that it is wrong for any institution to admit candidates beyond its carrying capacity and called on institutions that were yet to update their requirements for the 2017 brochure to urgently do so.

Not an mbbs major....but it's pretty much the same just exclude Mat 101, Bot 141 then I think they offer zoo 113 : Animal Diversity plus Phy 112 :Electricity and magnetism... Yeah thats pretty much it

The "ur application is still ongoing" is perfectly normal after u've completed the registration, when u click on the bio-data tab, it will show u that ur registration has been completed.... but the only prob now is that ur passport is supposed to show on ur print out..

it's normal. Your registration has been successful but your passport is supposed to be visible.
Are you sure it didnt exceed the prescribed size which was 50kb
it showed upload successful when I uploaded it,can I still amend it? Again on the five subjects relevant to my course which is law i select igbo lang. along with my jamb subj. combo,instead of maths what's your mind on this. Thanks

Pls I have problem paying for the screening exercise for my sister. I used two different ATM, my money was deducted twice but the portal is still requesting for payment whenever we login to complete the registration.

Please I need your help in solving this issue.

How do I go about this pleaseeeeeeeeee....

since you've submitted and finalized your registration then don't worry,you can't even edit it again ni. As for your subject combinations, igbo language is an art subject and yes you're good to go as long as English, literature, government, crs are included.

same complaints has been laden by most of the candidates, worst of all, ui hasn't even said anything concerning this.

Debited twice? for the refund, you go the two different banks you used to apply for refund. For my Ward's case, she was debited once, and when we used another card, in another more reliable cafe, her registration was completed successfully. I think you should look for a cafe whose attendant is highly competent and try again. Refunding will take 5working days or thereabout, so it won't be wise waiting for your money to be refunded before you log in to complete your registration. 23rd is in 5days time. please Members with a better solution can help

mine can't. Anytime I login it wouldn't display my details but rather it'll just state that my application process is going on that I should check it's site for informations as concerning admission.
