there is notin bad in drinking cold water, but dont drink too much.

anytime am pregnant and morning sickness start till i deliver i can no longer drink water that is not cold, even in the cold weather i drink cold water and it does not affect me or my baby. even do some poeple say cold water causes jaudince to the newborn child.

I chewed on ice all tru labor and put down the cup wen it was time to push. Once baby came thru, I was given a glass of cold juice and the delivery suite too was veery cold to keep the place sterile.

Some pple av chills after delivery and my doc said it's notin to worry about. It's hormonal; ie ur body way of reacting after you've given birth. He also said the IV fluids can be responsible for the shivering, that they are colder than ur body temp and can me u feel cold

Lol @cold water causing jaundice. I drank cold water from day one of my first preggy till labour was about to be augmented.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what brackton (I can't even spell it) hicks feels like? Never experienced it the first time and i had my baby at 39 weeks. Not experiencing it now, is something wrong? I thought the said u feel it more in subsequent pregnancies. I'm 33 weeks + 2 days by lmp.

To say I have sore nipples is an understatement, my nipples are bleeding and it's affecting me psychologically.
The milk is now flowing but the wound and pain is beyond what I can hear.
Pls don't mind my rants, I just want to be able to breastfeed my baby without shedding tears. She will be 3weeks by Friday.

Besea, the easy way to explain braxton hicks is this: sometimes you feel ur tummy becoming vry hard, then releases itself. That is it

Check on jumia or konga. You can also get Avent nipple cream if u don't find lansinoh

Sorry about the pain. The truth is the more you breastfeed, the faster it will heal. You can also apply some breast milk on it and allow to air dry.

Also make sure that your baby is latching on properly cos that's the no.1 cause of sore tips

Coconut oil or olive oil can also be used.

Contact olatebony if she has and can send to your location?
Meantime apply breastmilk to the injured nipple, let your baby suck from the non injured Brest first so as to reduce her suction force when you offer the wounded one.

Expose your Brest as much as possible for air to touch it, you can also apply ice on the Brest before and after nursing to numb the pain.

Pain relief like ibuprofen can be taken to also ease the pain( it's perfectly ok for you and your baby)

Saline mixture that is 1/2 a teaspoon of salt mixed in a cup of water used to wash the Brest helps too! Keep feeding her but if it becomes unbearable you may express with hand or pump and use spoon to feed you baby.

Make sure she is latching on well and also rule out thrush infection as they may also be a cause to the bleeding cracked nipple.

Thanks ma.... we will start dropping very very soon, all glory and adoration be to God. As for the no stretch mark may be shea butter and coconut oil did the magic. I make the coconut oil myself and i've been using shea butter as my body cream even before I got pregnant.

Nothing is wrong with baby, maybe you've been experiencing it without even knowing. Don't worry we will soon meet our cuties.

Hi dear, cold water was what was discussed during my last ANC the midwife said it's a misconception cold water wouldn't do u or the baby anything.
[b]But I had a church member that just gave birth she said she drank cold water a lot that immediately she gave birth the kind of cold that greeted her was no joke. She said it was as if she was deepen into a freezer all her teeth were shaking.

I dont believe its true, because when i went in to deliver and my baby wasnt moving as expected they gave me cold water to drink as apperently babies can feel it and move! Sure wnough they was a jump in activity!

Some people crave ice and even take icecubes into the delivery room to chew on and cool down. With no adverse effects. So i dont think there is any scientific basis to the cold water story.

I experienced it this morning! It was as if my tummy looked distorted in shape and my muscles contracted, like it paused, was almost scared but I remembered God's promises lol

Finally I know what Braxton Hicks contraction feel like!

@ liftedhand and realdentist thnkz for your contributions , I don't knw if they are treating me for typhoid or infection too but but inside the investigation form I took to the lab section they tick 4 diff test ,the once I know are widal and pcv.

Please mamas, I want to change hospital for delivery as I am moving to Gbagada. The HMO has given me several options and I am stuck between Family and friends hospital, and Aniyun hospital. Anyone that has experience with these 2 should help me with reviews.
