I don't really want to r.ape somebody. But I made my thread obtrusive to gain concerted answers...


I saw something lugubrious on Facebook last time a girl who after accusing a guy for effectuating r.ape confessed she wasn't rapped... After the accused has spent over 5 years in Prison...



So let's discus girls can be rapped and guys also. A H.I.V girl can rape a drunk guy. Since it is of his conscience...
Even mutilation of the incident is not an incontrovertible evidence


My question now to all Nairalanders a girl can inculpate/accuse you of rape. And u get imprisoned.
Girls are liars so as Men. So we lawyers have decided to say how can this be amended. I asked this in school, so brought it to the public...

How should the Nigerian jurisprudence system handle r.ape cases? To encumber innocent people from getting imprisoned...


Should a video be required for every r.ape case. ?

What method should be followed to avoid inculpation of innocent people..

Don't av much contributions tho. The video can't really work as most rape cases doesn't happen predetermine by both parties. But your suggestion to going extra to investigate proper before verdict.

What's your point? If he is guilty why shouldn't he be jailed

Our Church guy spent threw years in Prison before the girl confessed he never raped her...


So as another rape case we heard in School after the guy must have spend 1 month in jail. His lawyer claimed the girl had Aids which if she was rapped the victim should be infected. Since it was continual, unprotected and forceful rape..

The accused wasn't infected... Because the sickness was older than the event... Therefore was without. guilt

Undisputed! There are many accused rape victims in prison for false accusation(mostly borne out of revenge or settling scores). A thorough investigation and re investigation is actually needed. But my fear is I doubt if that ever exist.

The first place an individual who is raped should go to is a hospital. There the doctor, nurse or any other medical personnel will perform tests and also store evidence. After that he/she can go to the police. A person should not be convicted of rape except found guilty. The accused should always get a lawyer to fight the case. But then again, we are in Nigeria where money rules *sigh*
