security needs serious attention in that region, it's a welcome development

Who and where do they want to bomb with it? I think police needs more of sophisticated guns and ground battle. These liabilities will only destroy the state more and innocent properties.

They have a plant in Port-Harcourt, Trans-Amadi area. They also have another manufacturing plant in Abuja, and are currently leasing the Nigerian Army Steyr plant in Bauchi.

Bringing in ur dad to a NL discussion suggest u lack manners. I don't know, the op don't know and even the blogger wasn't sure. It could have come from the force headquarters.

And your rubbish alters the fact they have outlets in other places means it's not a SW company with HQ in the SW? Abeg keep quiet.

It's a good guess because if they where federal owned and meant for military use:

1. they would likely have been in camo by now (never seen military apc's in black)
2. it is unlikely the feds would purchase only 6 apc's for the Niger delta issue. This suggests short term and reactive planning which is inefficient for military operations.however, this numbe rof apc's is sufficient for the interior security of the state (in addition ot what must already be available).
3. Operation crocodile smile which commenced weeks ago; all necessary equipment should already be on ground
4. You can see police escorts in the background, in one of the pics

You are illiterate. I'm very well aware of this, however for the benefit of the others who are visiting or commenting in this thread. I decided to lecture you.

It is a Nigerian company, not a SW company.

These are armoured personnel carriers not tanks. Unless modified, these things do not 'bomb'. They are used to safely transport troops or security operatives.

It's a good guess

Nothing says a good guess can't be wrong.

because if they where federal owned and meant for military use:

Not neccessary for military. Even police uses armoured vehicles

1. they would likely have been in camo by now (never seen military apc's in black)

U are wrong. Again police armoured vehicles don't neccessarily come in camo

2. it is unlikely the feds would purchase only 6 apc's for the Niger delta issue. This suggests short term and reactive planning which is inefficient for military operations.however, this numbe rof apc's is sufficient for the interior security of the state (in addition ot what must already be available).

Again u are making another guess to buttress an earlier guess. The writer says it's in Ph. How are u sure it's not strictly for rivers state as against the entire Nd region u are insinuating?

3. Operation crocodile smile which commenced weeks ago; all necessary equipment should already be on ground

Again, u Av ignored the fact that police also use APCs and not necessarily camo

4. You can see police escorts in the background, in one of the pics

Does police escorts conclusively tell u it's wikes property? Dies wike pay the police? Ur best bet is just to keep mute and await more details.

Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC)

Our Four Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carriers (Pf2) provide adequate armoured mobility for infantry men and Law Enforcement Agents to move safely from the base camp through troubled areas to the battle field. Proforce APCs also are also engaged in light battles by the Army, police patrol and surveillance, military ambulance due to the versatility and ruggedity, which cannot be overemphasized. Protection has been integrated to NIJ standard III/CEN B6 with Anti-blast protection against Land mines, hand grenades, IEDs, etc.

In Nigeria the Pf2 and Pf3 have been supplied to OSUN State Government for the use by the Police in combating Armed Robbery in the State. Our APCs are rigorously tested and proven in the toughest environments and are certified and compliant with military norms and standards.
