I think in those parts of Nigeria where you need to do extra prayer and fasting for Power Holding Company to atleast release electricity for 30 minute needs this more. A lot of people are in this country but didn’t know something like this exist. Of a truth, necessity is the mother of invention… MTN Mobile Electricity is an affordable solar electricity solution that can power light bulbs, cellphones, fans, PCs or laptops, radios and other small electronic devices, all at once, every day. What is in the Pack? MTN Mobile Electricity Kit:- 1. Indoor unit 300Wh 2. 6 sockets at 12V DC 3. Large solar panel 80W 4. 2 powerful LED room lights 5. USB adaptor 6. Mobile phone charger The device is recharged either for 3 days at N133 per day with total price of N400, N121 for 7 days with total price of N850 or N110 for 30 days with total price of N3,300. It is linked to your MTN SIM for easy subscription wherever you are. It is absolutely cheap and reliable… atleast, allow your generator to rest! Go to any MTN office closer to you for more enquires. It works with 12V DC appliances only. Source: http://www.naijapunch.com/heard-mtn-mobile-electricity-need-see/ 1 Like

But why do you need to subscribe if it is solar electricity I'd rather buy the solar electric device once and for all and not pay monthly subscription to anyone Or I get the solar electric device for free and pay monthly subscription. But if MTN are saying we pay for the solar electric device to get it and still have to pay monthly subscription, I will have to call them thief. Need more details @op. 7 Likes |

astarotte:you can buy same system from normal solar system sellers for one time payment maybe 180k or even less. But I find the mtn own cool too because I get free servicing and 5years warranty, they fix ANY issue arising even to changing battery if at any point gets weak, you can also return back to mtn with the first two years and get 50% refund if you aint satisfied. The monthly payment makes it affordable evn for students and small shops. You can make a one year payment of 46,000 if you don't want to pay monthly. Disadvantage I personally experience is the ports and power outlet ae designed in a way you can't plug just any device. It has to be car charging ports or normal dc plugs which is rare in the markt. But if you shop on ebay or amazon. You can get some accesory to enjoy with the system. Like Targus laptop charger, zozo universal charger and car plug extension box. Goodnight 1 Like |

I'm presently using it... Been using it for 5 months now. It works with your gotv, or startimes, and other DC 12v appliances like flat screen tv, Standing fan, etc. It also comes with 2 powerful DC bulbs and cords for charging phones. You make a down payment of 15k to get the solar unit with an 80 watts solar panel... You are expected to be recharging it via the number you used to register the device... No recharge, no light for you. |

This thing called MTN Mobile electricity is total scrap and rubbish I regret bringing into my house I mean for now except some improvement is done on it. Initially it didn't work with my 110-240 LCD TV powered TV so I bought a new LED 55W which it was eventually able to power and I was happy but my happiness was short circuited when I noticed that even when it is fully charged to 100%, it drains even faster than the cheapest China phone in the market with 1000MAh. As if that one is not enough, the system stopped working for more than 2weeks and all they have been telling is to press this, press that. Eventually, they said they will send their support guy to come and check and till today, I'm still waiting for him till today yet they are busy advertising 'upandan'. Please if you see him, tell him I'm still waiting. Lol 2 Likes |

There is nothing that bears MTN name that is not primarily designed to rip the customers off. I will only be surprised if the feedback comments here were favourable and positive. With just an 80W panel, and all the items listed, u can't enjoy its service for more than 3 hrs per day even wen fully charged. With the 200k, u'll get a good 250W monocrystalline panel and a 150 or 200AH battery. U just need to add a power inverter and a charge controller to make a complete system. MTN is always self-centered 1 Like |
