Solitin40: Immigration wants to know why you are defering. It is the responsibility of your school to inform the immigration why you have deferred your admission and your responsibility to give the school a sound reason you have decided to defer. The truth is your chances of finding a job after defering is slim. You are by law not allowed to work in australia if you have not commenced your studies. Again what is the possibility that you will land a job that will cover your tuition fees the next semester. Get your full tuition fees and other expenses for the first semester after which you may decide to defer on the next semester otherwise you may end up being frustrated. 4 Likes 1 Share |

But do u think that they will inform me if they think that it's not enough. I am hoping that you can reply soonest. Thanks a lot. I appreciate tobeefalz: |

Dammiehar: You still need a declaration.. The payslips and offer will only confirm or strengthen your claim in the declaration. You probably should read the other thread for detailed info.. Solitin40 pasted the link |

Dammiehar: Which university did you finish from (BSc). You may not need to add the MSc except your school falls into one of those universities VETASSES gives negative assessment. BSc and MSc both carry same point. Only PhD has extra 5 points. |

Benefits of permanent resident status include: Few limitations on employment in Australia. Some job opportunities, largely federal governmental work, require citizenship as opposed to permanent residence. The right to apply for Australian citizenship after fulfilling some criteria. For permanent residents accepted under the humanitarian program and enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place, the right to defer payment of their student contribution under the HECS-HELP scheme. The right to sponsor relatives for permanent residence, subject to fulfilling residence criteria and assurance of support requirements. Children born inside Australia will be Australian citizens by birth. The right to access medical and social security benefits, though there is a 2-year waiting period for some benefits. The right to apply for Australian consular assistance overseas. (Although this right maybe subject to restrictions) The right to travel to New Zealand without applying for a New Zealand visa. (This right is granted by the New Zealand government.) Unrestricted rights to live, work and study in New Zealand. (This right is granted by the New Zealand government.) 3 Likes |

Hi guys, I'm heading to ACU Melbourne campus in February, but I saw something about the place this morning that gave me a little concern. someone was complaining that lecturers give preferential treatments to Australian students and deliberately failing international students. he also said the international office does nothing about it. I don't know if this is just a lazy student talking, but I need someone in that campus to tell me the true picture. I also want to know if its possible to change between schools or campuses. Replies would be appreciated. thanks |

Good evening, I'm new here and I'd like if someone can explain several things for me. I'm a graduate of English and literary studies. I'd like to know if I can get a scholarship offer to do my masters in Australia. What are the requirements? Is there anybody I can talk to personally? I'd really appreciate it if I'm given proper audience on this. God bless you |

Hi Solint40, Thank you for writing. I have already taken time out to check the thread on PR requirements, my fear is getting the required points to qualify for an invite. I mean i see that I need a 60 points for the 189 visa category and after doing my rough calculations I arrived at 50 points although i assume if all things been equal i can score 7.0 when i write my ielts exams in october but then I am presently 32 years that gives me some points too. All the same my fear is getting the right points needed, i think i read somewhere the processing takes about 9 months from start to finish, getting payslips and letter of employment/offer letter wont be a problem because i have those handy. I really would appreciate if you can tutor me through this process, also like to know the chances of getting the PR since i didnt see any offer for sales or marketing in SOL or skill list. Pls i am looking at a process that will have myself, wife and kid in Australia say February 2017 so I need to act fast and i believe this forum is more than capable of assisting. Hoping to read from you gurus soon enough. Cheers! |

Hello NNNBB & Bosslady, Thanks guys for the great heart of care and love you have. I have been reading through both PR and Study schemes and at this point I believe I need help with these questions: 1. Im 32yrs with a wife and kid, qualifications are bsc statistics, mba in view marketing 2. Have about 5 yrs work experience in Sales and Marketing 3. Writing ielts in October but aim to score 8.0 in all 4. CSOL course found is senior manager in sales and marketing with minimum of 10yrs experience Pls guys how do I calculate my points and Im thinking the CSOL requiring 10yrs experience for sales and marketing might knock me off and finally can the whole process be done in 4-5months? I mean I can no longer cater for my family with no increase in salary and ever rise in foodstuff, guys the lamentation goes on and on but I should stop now knowing you all get my point. Regards. |
