Dangote is hoping to replicate the colonisation at the National level what Tinubu was able to do the state level when he acquires Nigeria Oil Assets at rock bottom prices. The viable assets NLNG and Joint Venture are managed effiently and effectively by the OICs like Shell,Chevron,ExxonMobil and AGIP. colosa:Edo State owes a total of $179.52m as of June 30, which is 4.91 per cent of the country’s subnational foreign debts. With an external debt of $41.19m in 2010, Edo State, for instance, was not among the most indebted states in the country, but during this change during Oshiomole regime. However, by the end of December 2015, the state’s external debt profile had leapt to $168.19m, showing a difference of $127m. This means that the state’s external debt rose by 308.34 per cent in five years. Many Edo people don't quite understand why Gov. Oshiomhole is going the extra mile to make sure that his benefactor, Godwin Obaseki succeeds him as Edo governor. Oshiomhole have borrowed significant amount of money from foreign agencies like the world Bank and others. He has also raised money from selling government bonds locally. All the borrowing were done using Godwin Obaseki's private finance company as consultants representing government in the negotiations. So much to say about conflict of interest. Obaseki who heads the state economic team recommended his private company as the consulting firm that advised Edo government on money matters. His personal company or companies that he has an interest in represented Edo government in all the negotiations. Godwin Obaseki's firm earned a commission and a fixed payment for the services it rendered to Edo government. At the same time he was personally employed by the government and he's on the government's pay book. Not bad for a government that's fighting corruption. It is very clear to see why Oshiomhole would put his head through the eye of a needle to make Obaseki governor. Oshiomhole couldn't have done anything in government without Obaseki. If there are any dirty deals to cover up, Obaseki is the man to do the job efficiently. He knows everthing about Oshiomole's government than the governor himself. If Obaseki succeeds Oshiomhole, Edo people will never know how all the borrowed money was expended. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Like ologundudu rhymed many Lagos descendants excellednat being area boys of their tax masters descended from other states (BAT, BRF, AMB - all none Lagos descendants); settlers from other states. The only thing many sabi ba to make mouth for one hour without landing a single punch. Isn't ironical that a fellow yeruba has that to say a out the sons of the center of excellence, many of whom are still exhibiting empty-headed, shallow bravado here?! |

Is it that you're against the idea of Lagos descendants fostering some pride in their heritage to the point of caring about what happens to the State, on the long term, and taking proactive steps, sponsoring referendums, engaging media actions as well as anti-corruption campaigns while promoting legislation against extreme capitalist ripoffs like BAT's brand of concessions etc like you're initiating here? Or is it bad that, if just for once, all the "yeebos-must-go" clamor of many so-called true born Lagos sons on this same NL, be redirected inwards and channeled at seeing, fellow masses from other tribes as not the enemy; but these corrupt few politicians, administrators, contractors, legislators etc who have enough money to better lives yet choose to divide, annex and 'pocket' parts of Lagos. I've heard and read more than what you posted here. I'd been through the whole gamut of reactions from disgust to wonder, then mere pity on the state of things but must it stop there? Without a voice like yours sensitizing folks time and again and who knows who may read this, if not now, in some years to come? I merely responded in the spirit of the yourba proverb that "only a bastard uses his left hand to describe the way to his father's compound'. All over the world, people have exhibited State Pride in all sorts of ways. It's not enough for them to look for enemies, in us other tribes while fellow migrants from other S/W states stylishly re-colonize Lagos, "no-man's-land-former-federal-capital" or not! Nigerians are very attached to the idea of "village", "family-house", "clan" etc; it's assumed everyone has a source-point which they would wanna take pride in the welfare of. You can't expose corruption, motivate people to action or stir passion without getting passionate responses; neither can you power a thought revolution without offending a few just the same way you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. I'll pass on your meme, I deal in ideas, not actual persons. TGIF, keep it rocking! |

You have stated all the properties you claimed Tinubu owes with no proof. The same thing AIT did pre- 2015 election, they had to apologise to him after he sued them and settle out of court. If you have evidence, I will happy to see him nailed. Without evidence, it is just rumour and beer parlour gossip. |

Dutchboy: So Bode George admitted that he is a thief, but that he is not the only thief in Lagos? That is wonderful! But why is Bode George not in Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison. This is self confession, so there is no need for evidence to convict him. Bode George said that he is a thief, who am I to say that he is not? Even his lawyer and the Judge cannot say that he is not a thief when he himself has confessed that is a thief. So, Tunubu and Obasanjo were right afterall. |

We all know that Tinubu has pocketed the wealth of majority of the west and turned those who support him to slaves. I have said it before, that corruption has just shifted to another group of people but the slaves and zombies would rather be ignorant or enjoy the crumbs they are fed to defend these new cabals in APC. 1 Like 1 Share |
