I got a six months schengen visa through the German embassy last month. For personal reasons I changed my mind about travelling. What would happen if the visa expires without me using it?

Nothing really. Just know you next visa will not come easy as you will av to convince d embassy you are not just a visa collector. Visas are meant to be used cus they serve a purpose to the issuing country so if u get and don't use it, get ready to explain convincingly y u didn't use it on your next visa application. If u are not convincing enuf, d next one might be difficult to get.

Oga if you don't have anything meaningful to say keep quiet and find something else to do. Your attempt to be funny was anything but.

Hello Nairalanders,

I am new to this forum, though I have been sourcing information from this thread concerning German student visa and all related details.

I have been issued visa, going to Gottingen, Lower Saxony by first week of October. I need information on accommodation in Gottingen, I have tried so many sites for a month now, nothing. I've also applied for the school dormitory, on the waiting list too.

Any ideas and tips to securing a reservation before I leave would be most appreciated.

Regards.

Bros,
Kindly ignore my comment if you don't find it funny, must your reply be aggressive to make a point?

Pardon my error if i mistake you for a first time worker in DE, I just noticed lot of regular missing on the forum.

Hello, house!

Please, does anyone know if its possible to track my visa application status? I had my interview on the 2nd of August, funded my account before the interview, but I haven't heard anything from the Consulate. The silence is making gaga.

Thank you.

Congrats on your visa. We are both going to Gottingen. I will fly on the 8th of Oct by God's grace. As per accommodation, same issue apply to me. I am still on awaiting list but i am not worried. I have seen nice places to rent but i have to first visit my brother in Nuremberg so that his wife can contact the land lords in German. By the way, what course are you going for?

Good day everyone

I was rejected a German visa to attend a conference today. Just confuse

I submitted all the required documents except am not married yet

The letter they sent to me was written in German

I translated it to English..this is what it states

''Their Abduct to travel outside the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa could not be found "

Can I appeal the refusal?

Hello, what's up? What was the reason stated for the refusal? You might have to work on it while reapplying. Also are you going for undergrad or masters?

Arizona263:
Good day all, please I seriously need help, I am a Nigerian but based in yaounde cameroon, I have just been rejected by the German embassy yaounde cameroon, I wish to rush back to Nigeria and give it another try at the German embassy in Lagos or abuja, my interview went perfectly well in cameroon here, very easy, I was not even asked much questions, earlier on i contemplated on coming back to Nigeria for the interview but I couldn't because I already had my B1 Prüfung coming up so I couldn't leave for nigeria, and since day one I have followed the process from cameroon here and I have my legal resident permit to confirm that I have been living legally in cameroon for the past 4 years, right now I wish to come back to Nigeria to book for an interview, please I need help as I have no idea how the procedure is in nigeria, my classes will be starting at Rhine Waal university Kleve by the 26th of this September but my admission letter is valid till the 15th of november, I have already loaded my deutsch blocked account with 9k euro as one of the requirements for interview in cameroon here is a notification from deutsche bank that your blocked account is loaded, so we are made to open the blocked account and credit it before coming for interview, though clearly that's still not a guarantee for visa, so right now I need an appointment for interview as soon as possible, I already have my A1,A2 and still waiting for my B1 result from Goethe Institut in cameroon here, I also wrote IELTS which I used to gain 9 admission in 4 universities through uniassist, all my courses in Rhine Waal are in english language but I still went on to study deutsch for advantage, I am a graduate of IMT with HND in electrical electronics engineering, and going to Rhine Waal to study electronics, please any help of any kind would be highly appreciated, am just devastated right now after waiting for a month after my interview I was still rejected. I even got my insurance and booked a flight ticket since and was just waiting for that divine call or email to come. Somebody help plssssssssssss

1. I dentify your course of study from www.daad.de
2. Pay close attention to their requirements
3. Gather your documents and follow instructions accordingly

Your Uncle's accomodation for you becomes relevant after you must have secured admission. Goodluck
