During the last Common Entrance Exams, I was at a Centre where a particular Hall was reserved for a particular School and you can imagine what went down during the Exams. And I was wondering:

1. How is it possible for a whole School to have all their Candidates lumped in one Hall?

2. During Registration, the Computer randomly place students at different location all you need do is specify theCity you intend writing your Exams.

Our values is in the gutters.

Why not open a thread for your question instead of here where people will take little or no cognizance of it?

While marking WAEC, I see a lot of rubbish. Imagine 7 questions, answer 4, and the entire 200+ students answered questioned 1, 3, 4 and 7. Same answers, same wordings.
Some will even leave a note, asking for 'mercy' from the examiner.
Our educational standard has really fallen.
that must be from the north. That's where lots of exam malpractices happen on a large scale

so you are saying your guy did that in all the 5-9 subjects he possibly sat for which made him to forfeite the whole examination results? You better stop lying because that was how Lai Mohammed started and today he is a pro at it.

You are wrong. I wont name the state here, but change your stereotype. I personally wrote my WASSCE in Kaduna, and there was no NO CHEATING.

That was the same thing i experienced when i was marking Mathematics two years ago. I decided to used my 'church' mind to mark according to my conscience. In the entire school, only two students did something different, it's terrible
I was telling them yesterday that WAEC is trash some of them were attacking CIS and hating on the school fees of CIS. I came to the conclusion that most of them are beneficiaries of the rot in our education system. I am seriously worried that we are digging our graves with these widespread cheating in education.
WAEC knows what to do but failed to do it. For God's sake, in this day and age, there are softwares to detect these kinds of across board cheating even before the scripts get to the examiners!!
You and wellmax should have recommended the cancellation of the result of the whole centre for that subject .These are the candidates that eventually cheat their way to and through the university and become statistics of failed and worthless Nigerian graduates disgracing their families and Nigeria everywhere

The northerners have not embraced the western education as much as the South. The few northerners I had as classmates are outstanding unlike a few of the southerners. One good case in point is the South East states' notorious miracle centres for exams cheats. They elevated the trade to almost a statecraft and that's why the south east suffered most from the impact of half baked graduates. The multiple state tertiary institutions admit the highest number of candidates yearly and they churn out graduates who eventually become traders or join the bandwagon of ipob youths.
Apart from UNN and probably FUTO, the other universities in the south east, are grounds for admitting these beneficiaries of the miracle centres

Use ur common sense na, if you commit such a catastrophic blunder in one paper you think they would cancel only that one?

That will make the task of WAEC scripts markers extremely easy by just abandoning those scripts which have expos forgotten in them.

mr common sense, where did waec state it that all your papers prior and after a malpractise are meant to be cancelled? Get your fact man, the papers aren't even marked in the same coordaination centres atimes and above all not by same examiners, individual examiners write their report relative to what he or she accesses.

That they dont mark papers in same place does not mean ur full papers cant be seized cos they hsve mal practice evidence against the person, rxcept the marker decide not to report.

It will be so when many Schools are not ready to impact learning on students. Do you imagine a public secondary school extorting as much as one hundred and thirty-five thousand naira (N135,000.00) from students in the name of making As' in all their papers. Some even demand eighty-five to ninety thousand naira (N90,000.00) and parents/wards are paying the money. Is it for what, examination malpractice. My brother's son in Primary Six in a school within Madalla, told the mum they were asked to pay two thousand naira (N2,000) each termed co-operation money to enable the teachers teach the students during common entrance examination. You can imagine the foundation being laid for so called future generation.

when I was a fresher in university, during clearance the guy before me had an a1 in maths. with my b3 I was like wow he has to be so brilliant cos I know how long it took me to prepare 3 long years. so when we started a tutorial among friends I went to personally look for him and invite. when he came solving quadratic equations x-4=0 I wrote x=4 he asked how I got that answer. then solving fractions the dude said 2 can't go in 4. Naso my mouth hang open. my first eye opening experience. well the dude graduated with the wonderful pass despite all pranks. I think that is called gentleman's degree

now u are talking bro, it's relative to the report of the marker. Another thing is that because a student cheats in paper A isn't enough an evidence to suggest that he cheated all through the exams rmbr? Reasoning logically now not legally anyway.
