mmsen:The job of the army court, not civilian president. Instil a new constitution but ensures section 10 of the current constitution is retained and enforced - no Sharia law as state law. Those states that wish otherwise would be excised from the union.Just like that? Hmmm I don't think you understand what the legislative and juduiciary branches are then. You cna't just 'instill a new constitution' unless you are military dictator. Build a network of highways and railways that cross the nation.Sounds good. But I hope you know that a lot of money is involved and sadly, with the income we are receiving, and the measures you have to put into other sectors, the amount left for the transportation sector will not be enough to do all of that. It can do some, but not enough. Build a deep sea port in the south eastern corner of the nation.ok, good. Impose a tax on religious bodies of 90%. That money would be used to fund a network of libraries and information technology learning centers.Excellent! I love this! Religion is the only untaxed business in Nigeria. Pass a law banning those who are functionally illiterate from wasting their time in religious houses.I'm sorry Mr. President, but that's a violation of human rights. It will NEVER be approved. Ensure that reproductive health is taught to every child from the age of 10. Very important. Thumbs up Take a credible census using biometric data.Going to cost a LOT. Nigeria doesn't have the money for that now. The best way to do that will be in the long term, a restructuring of the SSS (our own version of the CIA/ Russian KGB ) And using them to collect the data from banks maybe. From BVN registration. Idk. It'll take a lot of brilliant minds in the SSS to come up with a plan. Either way, the people will still blame you for 'not reducing the price of rice in the market' 2 Likes |

Change should begin with the president, he was elected because they taught he was a strong man that can stand up to the political class and implement change but the change we have seen is against the masses and it is not funny. If elected, I will do everything in my power to reduce the salary of the senator's and high public offices. 2. Invest heavily in electric production, whatever it takes. 3. Invest heavily in broadband internet because that the easiest way to make money these days. 4. Ban state of origin question from any offical document, either public or private in nigeria. 5. Reduce interest rate to the barest minimum 6. Encourage people to borrow for their businesses 7. Support major buisnesses that have high tendency to employ large amount of people. E.g automobile. |

wizzyrich: bro, it's simple... U take a chunk at a time... The first issue we need to address is employment. Give 80%-100% tax waivers for all sorts of investors willing to enter into the manufacturing industry, or simply make Nigeria an international transit point for transforming raw goods into finished product... and watch the ripple effect. However, various government institutions should be empowered by the constitutions to act Independently. It's only then will this suggestion, would become brilliant 1 Like |

ijebuloaded: 1) Setup a death squad. If you've ruled Nigeria from the capacity of a senator and above since 1960 then turn yourself in or make a quick escape. 2) Restore cooperative bank for farmers 3) return state to autonomy rule, not this current sham of them lining up to suck on the federal titties I won't last and will be killed but there'll be books written on me. 1 Like |

Cancel and destroy NYSC . A waste of time and resources. Pay students the equivalent of one year service allowance upon graduation... 2. Decentralize power; empower states to have their own specialised security forces and clan vigilantes and control 70% of their internal revenue to only Pay 30% to the federal government... 3. Death by hanging for rapist and other sexual crime offenders especially those with underage victims. 4; destroy all federal ministries, turn into state ministries: No central minister of any thing. 5. All civil service heads (including i the president ) will earn equal salary...the president will just only have more "power". 6. All federal senators must present monthly attestations of their ward work to the federal government no more sitting around... 7. Capital punishment for uniform officers who assault civilians under any circumstance. 8. All cars MUST obey traffic signs...including I the president... 9. Impose higher tax on churches and mosques and a must-do list to provide all disabled people on the street in which the church is located with a means of survival/training etc according to the churches' financial muscle... 10. Implement zero bank charges on monthly transactions below 100,000 for customers.... 1 Like 1 Share |

Chukazu:Sounds good in theory, but they are civil servants just like everyone else. No salary = low productivity btw. 2.ban exploration of crude oil, lets focus on human capital development.Nope, ridiculous. VERY ridiculous. You don't just 'ban' a major source of income. If you do that you risk so many things: -You risk a CIA invasion to cause turmoil and get the oil by force through rebel groups, promotion of seccession and whatnot. Ask the 'moderate' rebels that US secretary of State John Kerry is funding. - Technology is moving forward and you are wasting massive income. In the future, Crude oil will continue to lose its value as the world moves on to biofuels. Coal used to be the 'crude oil' of the day, now it still has value but it pales in comparison to the assets it could purchase before. 3.one president ably assisted by 6 vice presidents from the six geo-political regions, that would end unnecessary cry of marginalization. To do that, the legislature has to agree with you. You'll also need to review the constitution to determine who is next in succession in case the president dies. After the president and vice resident is the Speaker, and I doubt the speaker and other senators who support him would approve a law which severely reduces their hierachy. 4.capital punishment for corruption.ok, good one, but not sure how it'll be implemented. 5.limit the presidential term to 5years single term and single senator representing each state.Hmm, five years single term? I don't really know man . . . I mean, even the US only set two term limits after ww2 because their president who was going into his fourth term got severly sick in office. I'm with you on the senatorial thing. 6.full autonomy for local government, no more joint account with stateAgreed. 7. massive funding for science based educational projects..and IT infrastructure.Agreed. Nigerians will protest it though, all the majority cares about is 'stomach infrastructure'. But then again, it will appeal to the youths. The only way to do this is if you show sincerity by revamping the education and especially, the tertiary education sector. Which will cost billions. 8.every state be mandated to generate atleast 1000 MW of electricity in a year, that 36 000MW and FG 10 000MW,and our power problem is as good as solvedI'm with you on this one as well. Let the people know that their state governments are responsible for the rot. This, too, will cost a lot of money, in a time that we are barely making money due to the drop in oil prices 2 Likes |

How will you save the Economy woes of this Nation? How will you Save the Nation out of Recession? 1. Allow every State to mine their resources (oil, gold, silver, coal, bitumen) and bring 30% to the centre (federal govt). 2. Conduct unbiased biometric data capture of all Nigerians and have a central national database that people can thumbprint at anytime necessary to know who-is-who like in USA and introduce social security system for the aged and unemployed; and tax the rich accordingly; With this, half of Nigerian problem will be solved. 3. Through the Ministry of Science Technology, support and encourage young Nigerian manufacturers (whether in Aba, Nnewi, Kano or Lagos) and innovators in/from our poly's and Uni's to massively produce for Nigeria usage (like in China) instead of frustrating their efforts. 4. Incorporate the so called illegal miners/crude-oil refiners into the main stream mining. 5. Subside the prices of fertilizers/other farm inputs and make it available for farmers in their farmers (like the last administration deed) and ensure that the States/Local Government provide agric machinery/tractors for rent/hire to farmers at subsidized rate. How will You fight Corruption? 6. Make Legislators part time and voluntary 7. Pay the civil servant a living wage 8. Ministers/head of agencies/parastatals should not be politician or party supporters but professionals from the industry and acadamia 9. PAs, SAs, SSAs should be picked from among the civil servants in that organisation and still be paid their living wage How will You Fight Terrorism in Nigeria? 10. Let the Muslim boys and girls go to normal Western schools. They can go to islamia after school. That's what my former boss was doing. Islam should be seen/preached/practised as a religion of peace. Do what the yorubas are doing to be peaceful and non-radicalized |

NigeriaKitchen: I agree with everything you wrot except number 3 Reason(s) being If you privatize government assets that weren't working properly or at all, it will only encourage capitalism... Let me elaborate: take the crude oil for instance it would've been better if we built the refineries and make sure things were working at least to some extent before handing it over to a private sector.... If not, it'll make the private sector exploit the people for so many reasons and for what is theirs and theirs to enjoy if only the government were accountable.... Wish I knew a better way to put this to you It's like when you want to sell a bad car; you would get ridiculous pricing because of the state of the car, the buyer wouldn't take into consideration what they would make afterwards..... Capitalist system is one of the many problems Nigeria has no thanks to the colonial masters Twitter: @ReadyNaija Instagram: Ready_Naija Facebook: Nigerian Youths Website: Nigerianyouths.org 2 Likes |

1. There'll be just one legislative arm. Members will earn minimum wage just like civil servants, no special rubbish allowances like Newspaper, Aides, Vehicles, etc. What the hell do u do with ur salary. 2. The moment you're a public office holder, all your health care should be in this country 3. I'll ask for emergency powers and use 4. Children of all public office holders must school in Nigeria, even if u have money personal money to sponsor them; them no even born u well, you'll explain explicitly where u got the money. 5. I will ensure the full administration of practical federalism and states will be in control of their mineral resources. Nigeria will have only one parliament without senate or house of representatives I will scrap the NYSC and replace it with optional but attractive 6 months military training for graduates. There will be total retraining for Nigerian police officers with the 1000 police officers going for advance course in the UK, US and Israel every year. There will be shopping malls on all campuses where financially challenged students will have part time jobs. Campuses will have farmlands and fish ponds to produce food and generate revenue for the tertiary institutions. There will be compulsory retirement for all civil servants who have worked for 30 years. No foreign medical trips for public officials. If the President and Minister of Health cannot use the government hospitals, that means they have failed to provide proper medicare and healthcare for the citizens. There will be only two presidential jets for official flights only. The Nigerian Armed Forces will use more drones and robots for military operations and less humans. The national minimum wage will be N50, 000 monthly. Couples earning less than N1million will not be allowed to start a family. There will be no more slums and crowded tenements. There will be free education from primary to secondary schools and courses will be in tablets as text books. Every pupil and student must attend the school near the residence. Public schools will be as good as the best private schools in faculties and facilities. Government will not be involved in religious pilgrimages. Religious festivities will not be national holidays. Only Christians will be given off days for Christmas and Easter. Only Muslims will be given off days for Islamic festivities. No religious courts will be permitted in our secular state. 1 Like
