German schools according to their grading system require at least 2.5 to be eligible for masters admission with other valuation made on the required documents like Transcript, SOP and recommendation letters etc.you submitted. a CGPA of 3.0 in german grading system is 2.5 roughly which would have its own percentage mark when valuation is done on your application. so i'm sorry but a CGPA below 3.0 wouldn't favour.

@CannyZionist and michV, I even more concerned on how to get my cash back. there are other countries where that cash will help me obtain a solid masters degree and possibly even cover part of my living expenses. All I know is that Canada is not heaven. in fact it got to a point that I wanted to personally withdraw my application cos I could hardly concentrate and this made me seek negative means of escapism to avoid depression. instead of making my little business runnings, I will just sit back and watch movies or listen to songs throughout the day. I thank God my mind is now focused to make critical thinking. Men.. Canada is beginning to close their doors on Africans. I'll advise any one on this thread to have an alternative plan.

Do a bit of research to make sure you are ok with Ireland tho! You get a one year job search visa after graduating (if you finish with a Level 8 degree and above, e.g. a honours Bachelors or Masters or PhD). With a Level 7 degree (e.g. ordinary Bachelors), you get a six month work visa. Once you find a job, then it is pretty straightforward to get a longer work visa, PR, etc. This link (scroll down to the "Third-level qualifications" section) explains the difference between Level 7 degrees and above.

Please don't just belief everything I just wrote above. Confirm yourself too just in case the links above are obsolete... you might wanna find and search through the Irish Immigration official website, just to be 100% sure.

Am not sure you can travel now since your admission has been deferred to September next year. I will suggest u move on with your life and travel next year. U got admission, scholarship and TRV for ur cupboard already and I think your visa will still be valid by September next year. I stand to be corrected tho. You can ask about the validity of d visa when you get to VFS to pick up your passport

Thanks for the encouraging words bro. I'm working on a Plan B already and I also intend to refire. With the current hike in dollars, I have decided to cancel my fund request and reapply towards summer 2017 using Centennial college again even though the chances are slim. I read the fund request policy and the college said the money will be transferred to my Local currency since I opted for wire transfer refund and i don't want that cash to convert itself to Buharian dollar.

House please is it possible to withdraw my application and open a Dom account telling the school to send the cash to my dom account, that's if my Plan B scales through.

Yes I booked a ticket already. since accommodation won't be a problem. I guess picking up life from there won't be so difficult. I just don't know if I will be allowed entry into Canada considering I've been forced to defer although I won't get a new offer for months neither will the offer for this year be retrieved before I can travel. since your program has been deferred to fall 2017 it will not be advisable to leave now unless u are having a different category of visa as well in my opinion. You may have issues at POE when u meet a difficult immigration officer who may question ur reason for coming early. Somewhere in June-August is fairly reasonable than almost a year to resumption.

play safe and cancel ur flight or travel arrangement then or better still change the departure date since u have ur trv already.

this may be useful in booking ur next date if u decide to hold on travel plans

I contacted the MUN at some point and i was told the system changed. You do not need a supervisor to apply for a reearch msc program cos its difficult for international students. However, pls is Gre/Gmat part of ur requirements?

Some schools (very few) accept 3.0/5.0 on the German system which is equivalent to some number below 2.88/5.0 (there's a formula for the calculation, which can be googled) in the Naija system.

For anyone reading this and is confused, the lower the German GPA the better (1.0/5 is the best possible grade, and 5/5 is the absolute worst).

@afredytee dear, you cannot travel to Canada in September 2016 when your program begins in September 2017. It does not make any difference that you already have accommodation. You will be sent back at the port of entry. If you want to risk it, it's up to you but the risk doesn't worth it.

with 2.2 class (which i initially said you can obtain masters degree in IRELAND and with a good statement of motivation) you can be accepted without Gmat/GRE or ielts and some people with 2.2 are wasting money (for those that really want studying not for migrating sake) for PGD in canada when they can easily obtain MBA/Masters in Ireland and from there port to canada if they still want.but the Tuition fee is it their fees for INT'L Students? cc:solbob

because I'm seeing €10500 as INT'L Students fee for the 1yr duration of MBA and after any masters program,you get 1year work permit and hustle yourself to PR. Irish Immigration minimum requirement for living expenses is€7000

yea @ bolded and the higher your CGPA in our Nigerian system the better in german system.so a 2.2 class with a CGPA above 3.0 in our system is qualified in meeting the minimum requirement in most schools there.

Hello House... I applied online for study permit after being denied based on purpose of visit only. After my application I got the usual application confirmation and no biometrics request letter and its 6 weeks gone already... But suddenly I received an email from CIC yesterday that I should pay for biometrics... I'm wandering if the rules have changed... Because I know biometrics are almost immediately after an application has been made. Mine took 6weeks before CIC requested I pay for biometrics. I'm thinking if they wanted to refuse my application they could have just done that. No need for biometrics payment again since I have been refused previously. Please house does anyone have anything to say to this or has anyone had a similar experience? @MichV and my very wonderful helpers in the house pls drop a line. Thank you guys....

bro of recent, 2/3 applicants that submitted via online application were complaining about this biometrics/payment of a thing stuff which wasn't so before or was never heard and i don't know if they have changed pattern.if biometrics now takes this longer then the approval would take??
