Hello everyone, please I want building professionals to give me their honest opinions about this building plan that was designed for me by an Architect. It is a four bedroom bungalow with two sitting rooms to be build on a plot of land of 100ft by 50ft. Your opinion about everything to do with the plan is welcome. Thank you. 1 Share

Nice but the master room should be situated in a place to have 2 windows to allow cross ventilation...... you know the heat when daddy n mummy plays a very tough match can be so discomforting 9 Likes 2 Shares |

I think u should check the Guest room entrance again, I think ur plan should b more flexible, a guest room today it may become another family room tomorrow don't treat it like that 5 Likes |

The guest room is too close to d entrance, and d master bedroom should be interchanged with one of d other bedrooms to give room for two windows from d 2 walls. This 2 windows on one wall is not so cool. 1 Like |

Wonderful. Kudos to who did it. Those talking about cross vent. See it's almost impossible to achieve a cross vent in a block of flat with 2 living rooms, 4 bedrooms, kitchen and dining......unless you are introducing a courtyard or having an arctic room. The priority should be according to the pace use. Among the 4 four rooms, its only the guest room that isnt cross ventilated. And it's understandable because you "may not" use that room always. And considering that room has about 1.8metres window, we can manage it. But he should make sure that during specifications, he doesnt use sliding window in that guest room. A casement window would be much better, ao u can maximise the use of the window. Thank me later 10 Likes |

A professional architect did a design for you and you are shearing it online to people who are not in the field to do what? Advice you or confuse you. why then did u give an architect if you don't trust his competence. The design is good.If you have a different perspective discuss with him and he will advice you professionally. it's your type that Change designs during construction and spoil the whole plan due to oversabi and bad advice from people who claim to know when they know nothing 25 Likes 1 Share |

furniture arrangement is gonna be a problem not much space to move about especially in your dining area.. wats d essence of having two seperate living rooms it can be a single partitioned living area... cross ventilation is needed in the masters bedroom all in all good work though me don't like a direct relationship between the living area and the master bedroom... put the kids room dere... my opinion tho 3 Likes |

U need a minimum of 2.5 to 3.0 m from the fence to the side of the building, approval might not be given ,also d masters is not well ventilated as that is the main bedroom in the house, and I want to just add that the kitchen is too small , store is a joke, and do u really need to have two sitting rooms? The corridor by the entrance to the masters is a bottle neck, and the entrance to the masters is too exposed 2 Likes |

Nice plan but it will feel stuffy in that house. Are architects really so expensive that people find it hard to allow architects draw their building plans. Aside drawing a fine house, an architect will take things into consideration that a draughtsman do not know about. 1 Like |

1. Sitting room and dinning should be side by side. For a standard house 2. The master. Bedroom can be taken back so as to initiate two windows for cross ventilation

Lovely plan Good space management... my observation Poor ventilation... Masters bedroom not cross ventilated Guest room not cross ventilated Private lounge not properly and cross ventilated no ventilation at all of the dining area... I am sure this building is proposed to be constructed in Nigeria, considering Nigeria weather and the epileptic light supply, in my opinion I suggest u reconsider ur ventilations...naturally. thank you. 4 Likes |
