frumentius: Exactly. When the Moi admin left in late 2002 the Kibaki gov't didn't buy any heavy Brit metal. They tried to fob off their crappy SA80s Mk 1s on us. Do you know the mags frequently fall off!? Omfg they fcvking fall out!! and entice us into buying their Vickers 7,a substantial upgrade of the Vic 3. Their hawk jets while good are too expensive to buy and maintain. The 6 or 8 frames have been mothballed. In a world of K8s, Su 25s and JF 17s they haven't a hope of selling. Also increasing global democracy means there are less dictators who can order their central banks to fund a purchase of Brit equipment in exchange for a commission. Fyi,our 76 Vic 3s came in the 80s without a tender!! |

Henry240: Imo,you Saffies aren't being honest! All countries copy, borrow or "cough!/cough!" steal designs to a certain extent. You own Ratel was an E German design while the Rooivalk has both French and Russian influence. Woo equipment isn't all crap. They're simply following the ways of the West we don't learn in school textbooks. I'd really like us to take this discussion elsewhere cause we really need to clear up this stubborn Saffie misconception-but not on that other thread! I wouldn't step in there at gunpoint. 3 Likes |

kikuyu1: What East German Design? When the Ratel came out it was first in it's class. The only thing one could say we copied was from again France since it uses the same turret of the Eland witch where upgraded AML armoured cars. There is nothing German about it at all. We only started to work with Germany post 1990 The rooivalk has nothing Russian in it at all, it is based on a French Puma helicopter a transport helicopter but they did not provide any technical support. And we don't mind basing, copying or borrowing Design elements. China out right steals techs, repacks and resells. They sold Nambia M16 copies that are complete crapp 2 Likes |

chkil: Nemesis2u, Patches689, Mikecza and Andrewza are the primary culprits. They seem to always be in the thick of trying to derail this thread, despite the fact there are multiple alternatives to take discussions to. Offcourse, discussions on photographs shared in this thread are welcome, however off-topic posts, tribalism/racism(like we saw with the new guy) or cyber-bullying then the mods would be called in. 2 Likes |

As it is obtainable in other countries of the world, the military runs primary and secondary schools. Nigeria is no exception with the Army, Navy, Air Force running primary and secondary schools in all states of the federation including the FCT (federal capital territory), as well as hospitals. However this is the first time i am seeing an all girls school. Some photos of Nigerian Air Force Girls Secondary School Abuja.

andrewza: China is like any other counries, sometimes buying or exchanging or reverse enginering, cracking, knocking offs...or whatever words ....other counries may also do when they get the chance, though they may try to keep secret.in fact China got M16A1 license from US in 1970s as one of the results of China Soveit split, US regretd after somes years and baned further cooperation on it..M16 knock-off is a crapp, that gun itself was a crap too,if you see the the feedback of US frontline soldier from Vietnamese war,"too long, easy to conk out."That's why many countries already weed it out from front line.however,it may still be used in second line as supporting weapons for it's relatively longer shooting range.or sold as second hand. Just like AK-47 being weed out from Russian frontline force for it's low accuracy 1 Like |
