Interesting.

I see some writers below me celebrating this,as a Judicial Victory for the Renegade called Kanu, how is it a Victory if I may ask?

Kanu is still locked up,and from all indications there is no clear path to him getting out of Jail, and yet some funny people are celebrating.

Let Kanu's legal team, take the matter to the International Court to make a mockery of themselves.

What part of Kanu actively soliciting for Arms and Soldiers openly to overthrow a democratically elected Government do the supporters of Kanu don't get?

Kanu has committed a treasonable felony, and
that is why even the British Government will not touch him with a long stick(he is British by the way)

I see Kanu staying a very long time in Prison.

This man was there also. Pls hold your peace.

Did Martin Luther King Jnr and Malcolm X say they would overthrow the United States Government with arms?

The guy's statement and I quote was "He will learn a lesson not to fight against constituted authority"
Martin Luther King Jnr and Malcolm X FOUGHT against constituted authority, THAT is my point. I made no reference to arms in my comment as I'm sure you noted.

The answer is simple: Nigeria has never been a democracy and so many of its people cannot/will not appreciate a fully functioning democratic system.

Malcolm X was reprimanded by the Nation of Islam, a group which he belonged to, for saying "the cock has come home to roost." How many followers condemn Kanu for making insightful comments?

For this alone, our brothers should declare a six-month boycott/sit-at-home protest and let's see if the Nigerian economy would be grounded.

They should remember Lagos alone would be available to dash each of them 20 pounds each by the time they start eating themselves. Baba Awo taught us to be nice to our neighbors.

Are you celebrating the £20?

Look around you and see how the gap was closed in a few years. Nigeria gave your folks funds through banks to buy up shares in UAC, etc. Buildings belonging to Igbo people were seized and shared by the rest. With the same £20 pounds, Igbo people now have choice properties all over the nation and the world. What were confiscated are now all dilapidated. Their blessings have been multiplied a billion folds. They came back around to stand shoulder to shoulder with your lazy behinds in Nigeria and beyond. Go figure! It reminds me of the song, "started from the bottom, now we are over here".

But I can understand. If I were in your shoes, I will be seething with envy, anger and sense of disappointment too.

I'm really not clear the point you are trying to make.
My point is that there are times a constituted authority needs to be challenged, if everyone adopted a siddon look approach we all wouldn't be here today. If the Allies had not taken on the Nazis evil would have continued spreading. So I maintain that that statement of "He will learn a lesson not to fight against constituted authority" is not just shameful, it is very weak.

For your information Kanu is not yet in jail yet. He is in custody undergoing trial. When he is convicted and found guilty, then he will serve his jail term.

You say Kanu actively solicited for Arms and Soldiers to openly overthrow a democratically elected government. Which government was democratically elected? The one you and I did not vote for and that was imposed on us. When will they arrest SHEKAU and his cohorts and try them for treasonable felony because he too solicited for Arms and Soldiers, killed people, captured some territories within Nigeria, pinned his flag. Which is worse. A man that did not kill or carry arms or captured any territory or the man who killed, carried arms and captured territories.

if threatening the nation is against the law then PMB should be in jail by nw not ruling us a president, because his threat wt lots suspection stoped at nothing killing n distroying economy of the north. If people who threaten and killed innocent souls are agitating for the realese of their people BH,why should FG be keeping a man whos thinking aloud.

Please clearly point out where I mentioned arms in my comment.
You guys assume anyone disagreeing with a Buhari fan must therefore be a Biafra supporter, smh. My point is that authorities have rightfully been challenged in the past because there was a need to do so.

Why are his lawyers not allowing the case to proceed speedily so that he can be set free if he's innocent? They're only compounding his woes of staying in jail for a longer time when the trial has not even started. Do they think even if a South easterner is brought to hear the case he'll simply close his eyes and tell him he's innocent and have him discharged? That won't happen.

I'm not saying he would be convicted by all means, but I don't see him getting free. If Buhari could rebuff all entreaties to intervene in the case of the nation's Number Three citizen, what chance does Kanu stand?
You should stop comparing Kanu with common thief like Saraki.
Saraki has dozens of genuine case against him, while federal government finding it difficult to lay hand on any evidence to nail Kanu.
Why must federal government ask for masquerade witnesses against Kanu while they didn't do the same against Saraki, Metuh and others.
