Such a nice concept and unique niche you have right there. Meanwhile, your blog audience are channelled and pretty limited, the only way to get them in might be through search engines, so you might want to work on your search engine optimization. Concerning the theme, there are loads of recommendations, just make sure you go for one that is responsive(of course) and fast, also light weight. You can check my signature if you need for info on the SEO and all.

Just some tips from HK, the WP guru.

1) you have a nice domain, good exposure required to gain more readers.

2) add pages:
- about pages: it would be nice to know who the man behind the wheels is, what he does, where he practices, what his practice area is. Add an inset picture showing your handsome face. If you have several writers, include a brief info of each contributor.

- Privacy policy - that should be one the #1 list of pages for a lawyer like you

- disclaimer notice - while you share your own opinions, you dont want someone to take your lega-statements hook, line and sinker

3) If you have a private practice, why not use a more corporate theme, exhttp://themeisle.com/demo/?theme=Lawyeria%20Lite) and then feature your blog contents on the home page. You get to kill 2-birds with one stone: while you write interesting legal articles, you promote your own practice.

4) Free theme: go for something minimal, something that showcases your content.

5) Tutorials, Tutorials, Tutorials: readers world loves tutorials
Tip: I havent come across a blog written by a lawyer who offers legal-tutorials for everyday issues Nigerians face.

- 10-dos and donts after I was arrested by the police for an offense I have never heard of.
- omo-onile issues? 10-documents to require from land sellers?
- my father is forcing me to marry his best friend, what does the constitution say?

- what is a tenancy agreement
- what are the rights of my landlord? what are my rights as a tenant?
- 20-rights you didnt know you have as a Nigerian male
- 20-rights you didnt know you have as a Nigerian female
- Nigerian constitution for Nigerian dummies - explain in lay man terms

Barrister Fido, are you feeling me. I myself would like to read on the above.

Now let me assume your area of law practice does not cover all of the above, you could invite your other legal colleagues to help you cover other areas.
Im feeling your blog could be a blast if you could hit the right buttons.
