Nut threatens to go on strike come 1st week of October if teachers in the state don't get their salaries owed them plus current month salary... Hence news going round the board is how the reinstated commissioners are promising to pay back monies due us.... End of jist is that, "salaries will start dropping nxt week, plus monies owed...

I was deeply excited with the news and am hopeful... And also praying that it comes to pass just as she said it..... Anxiously waiting for nxt week.

...which info you don get or bring for the forum....one thing remains real and true...we are being owed monies whether na next week, next month or year it would be paid. these rumours, speculations would only stop when we are all paid....me I hear my own joor

I think the Gov is not the issue here.... But pple working in schools board plus the governors commissioners....these monies have been signed for payment but these bad eggs will not let labourers get their pay for what is due them. They fix deposit our salaries and get to eat from the profit thereof leaving the owners of these monies to suffer.. I cannot imagine how people will sit and watch others wail for their entitlement even when they know they are the cause of their wailing...shortly after I got this job, there was this bonus of 11k that came in during the Christmas season and some of us collected tru the LGs while some tru their Banks.... As I write this , I nor use eye see bonus nor ear hear say them share bonus to anyone in my school. (Css Omuanwa)..

Month of September will be ending tomorrow 30th, and up till this moment, Rivers state government is owing their teachers in 18 out of 23 local government in Rivers state 5 months Salary (April, May, June, July and September) and many others February and March inclusive.
What is really happening?.
1. A lot of teachers has been humiliated by their creditor.
2. Others by their landlord.

fixed deposit mature every 30 days starting from the day you fix the money and will be renew continuously for 3 months, 6 months with maximum of 12 months, depending the duration of the month you want.
Before now, Some banks like Zenith bank give 7% interest rate per annum on the amount you fix. One can easily write to terminate/liquidate his/her fixed deposite account before the maturity date, any time he/she chooses, but will not receive the interest of that month, some banks due collect preliquidation charge. (fix deposit has minimum of 30 days and maximum of 366 days. Treature bill has minimum of 90 days)
Lets watch and see, this month is ending tomorrow, and tomorrow might be maturity date for their fix deposit that have send some civil servant to their early grave.
Meaning that payment might commence Tuesday/Wednesday next week being next month.
Evil is evil. We are treated badly, the worst still remains that, no apology from the side of government.

I condemn in totality the action of the governor toward our unpaid salaries, though I am against one insulting the governor, as for me I can't insult him, but I condemn his action of owing us for 5,6&7 months without any good reason.
@waliezi truly governor is really performing on you side, but not on the side of many unpaid civil servant.
Going by your previous post, I discovered that your payment is up to date, even on February, you received double payment.
But it's always good you put yourself in the shoe of your colleague, those not yet paid since February, March, April, May, June, July and September (some including August) 7/8 months unpaid.
Human development come first before others.

If you know any old teachers in your school whose salary account is Zenith Bank, please confirm from them whether they truly received three months salary arrears. This is only applicable to those LGAs who are still being owed salary arrears ranging from four to six months. Someone in Tai LGA informed one of my colleagues yesterday that old teachers that were transferred to their school whose salary account is Zenith Bank received three months salary arrears. I also received a call from someone in Eleme LGA today stating that he heard that those in Zenith Bank have received three months salary arrears. This kind of info needs to be confirmed by members of this forum whose salary account is Zenith Bank and are still being owed salary arrears. I believe that this forum is for sharing of vital information. When you are not informed, you are deformed. Thanks.
