okikiosibodu: Gosh, really not nice;the pilots giving you rude responses. Sorry about that bro. Don't lose faith tho,the current economic situation doesn't make things easy either. A friend of mine who has also been searching for years just got sponsored by a private individual with no strings attached. So keep trying bro and above all PRAY! 4 Likes |

Hey guys just want to ask this quick. I've been having problems landing the aircraft on both landing gears during cross wind. One tire lands before the other does or there's bit of impact (not much though) or ballooning when flaring.. I flew 1hr solo yesterday and was a crosswind. I apply the rudder and Ailerons correctly when coming in to land (crab method). During normal conditions my landings are perfect. So I just wanna know if it's normal. |

okikiosibodu: 2. Yes it's true. 3. Yes, the engines can go at full power without taxiing but no sane pilot does that 4A. Yes it has a very similar chemical formula with kerosene but some things are added to prevent sharp guys from selling it as kerosene 4B. Dunno oh 4C. Engine and fuel tank design and other minor mechanisms prevent that from happening. |

Boeing777pilot:5a-Thank you sir. I really appreciate your response. For the question about all engines shutting down, I meant it happening when the airplane is airborne. Can the engines be brought back online and the plane pick up when that happens in the air, abi na segobe for its occupants? 5b-Growing up as a child, I made some enquiries and found out that the temperature in the upper atmosphere could drop below freezing point, and liquids solidify. So a way to going about the prevention of the airplane's fuel from coagulation, is using a very thin liquid (like kerosene) as fuel: it will require very low temperature (below 0 degrees) to freeze. And some impurities are also added to further reduce the freezing temperatures. I'm just curious abt the constituent of the impurities. I will read up on how engine designs and other mechanisms helps out. Do you know the constituents/composition of the impurities? 5c- Do Helicopters and Airplanes use same kind of fuel? 5d- what is the fuel called sir? (I am actually longing to get hold of it, to know its colour and smell) Sorry I am turning to Oliver Twist sir |

Their combined ages are just 45. But that didn't stop 26-year-old captain Kate McWilliams and her 19-year-old co-pilot Luke Elsworth from flying hundreds of passengers to their destinations this week. 2 Likes

British Airways to scrap free meals British Airways is scrapping free meals for short-haul economy fares from next year and inviting passengers to instead pay for Marks and Spencer sandwiches, creating a stir on social media. The pair announced the tie-up on Thursday, which sees BA joining the no-frills airline model of charging passengers for food and drink. From January, BA will charge £4.75 ($6.2, 5.5 euros) for a tomato and mozzarella focaccia, £1 for hand cooked crisps and a minimum of £4 for alcoholic drinks. No food item will cost more than £5. BA said the move “follows extensive customer research and feedback, which highlighted dissatisfaction with the airline's current short-haul economy catering”. But customer Lee Butterley tweeted: “Hey @British_Airways literally no reason to pick you over EasyJet and Ryanair anymore then?” James Forshaw added: “Wow @British_Airways taking away the free food is one thing, but drinks, even soft ones? Really is no reason to fly BA short haul anymore.” Others welcomed the move, with Jan Brian tweeting: “At last, the chance for some decent food on flights. Don’t mess it up!” BA chairman and CEO Alex Cruz described the tie-up with Marks as “an ideal partnership, providing… customers with a choice of products they recognise and value”. http://odili.net/news/source/2016/sep/30/840.html |

I have passion for aerospace engineering since I was a child. Now am a full grown man, a B.Eng holder in mechanical engineering, about to complete M.Eng in mechanical engineering(thermofluid option) and currently working in Department of physical planning and development of a university. I dont have connection to airline industry and I dont have financial ability to pursue professional certificatn course as aerospace engineer for now. am still passionate abt this profession, I'd appreciate any help frm anyone here or advice on what to do to have my dream fulfilled. 1 Like |

Hello Pilot, Could you kindly explain this scenario. I recently travel to Enugu State and live very close to the Airport. Anytime plane takes off, all the dogs respond with very annoying (Not Barking) and very disturbing sound. Thanks. |
