Karin, I am happy about your reviewed stance on micro loans assistance to interested participants who are indigent.

I wish to commit to helping 5 participants with interest free loan not exceeding 20k each, repayable at the end of March 2017.

How this will be disbursed will be entirely at your discretion.

Finally, among the 5 beneficiaries must be lexaydfg. He has demonstrated commitment and tenacity in this project. I await your approval and further instructions.

Thank you.

God bless you manifolds.

[quote author=shiftmarket post=49798655]Because of fake gold's accusation, I will suggest that Karin maintain her stands of not being involved with money.

Money issue usually does not end well.
[b]Rose75 is the next most active person on this forum, she should be saddled with the responsibility.

Contradiction walking on its toes!!!!!!

Does the activity of rose75 translate to membership of an artillery brigade which confers on her the ability to wad off/ resolve conflicts?

"she should be saddled with" smirks of compulsion, and I detest that in its entirety.
This approach scored below average.

Better still a committee of volunteers can be set up to administer the funds after vetting the applicants.

Could you please spell out the criteria for the vetting?
Who knows you may just score a goal here.

Karin,

Just back from SOB Ventures with Lexaydfg and this was my finding. I believe he will give his own:

1. We met two manufacturers: Sob Ventures & Ferry's from Akute.
2. Sob's brand is NutientRich Sweet Jam Doughnuts
3. Sob has a pack of 25 pieces of doughnuts for #1,000 each & retail price of #50 each
4. Ferry's brand is Ferry's Jam Doughnuts
5. Ferry's comes in a cartoon of 50 pieces for #2,000 & half carton of 25 for #1,000 & retail price of #50
6. Both are of standard taste & aesthetics
7. Sob seems sfweeter & will be patronised by children mainly while Ferry's with less jam & sugar will suit adults
8. Sob has one distributor around the area while Ferry's supplies the Grammar School
9. Exclusivity & appropriate pricing should be handled by Karin as both manufacturers commented that they had commenced discussions with her

Ferry's also will deliver anywhere in Ojodu-Berger

General Remark: both brands are normal to perceive though Sob said what stands out in hers is the preparation which is heart friendly. She will explain more herself as we advised her to join the threat

I am impressed by your report I must say.

It appears that only you and Lexaydfg were able to make it in the final analysis. Your analysis is pure Oga Latestarter, but what about the sizes? Weight nko? Are they similar?

Please advise accordingly.

Another very important variable we have to handle is the fact of logistics. I will undertake to handle this negotiation with them and report back to you promptly. I really don't think I am comfortable with everyone coming to Ojodu to pick it up. We either seek a more central location for all or we devise more friendly means to ensure that the doughnuts arrive the point of sales before 9.00am daily. I will also discuss the exclusivity proviso with the two companies.

Unfortunately the third company, lushylush backed out at the last minute confessing that her capacity is quite small and she produces more of chin-chin than doughnuts. We however wish to start with doughnuts and proceed to chin-chin and then other FMCG goods as we strengthen our pace and widen our strides.

I am happy we had a reasonably successful outing today.

I have to retire early tonight but I will give this a lot of attention tomorrow. I am still committed to the commencement date of Tuesday 4th of October 2017. So raise all your questions, comments and suggestions and we will deal with it tomorrow.

Meanwhile, tomorrow we commemorate our independence. Our 'nation' would have clocked 57 in a few hours.

May we spend this time in sober reflection, thinking about how we can help the country by helping ourselves as individuals to change positively. If as many individuals as possible commit to change and attain it then we will be making very substantial contributions to our GDP.

Cheers and thank you all!

Great job Karin. When I saw those pictures and the report from Latestarter I became a complete emotional wreck, weeping like a baby(I am a 40 year old male who easily weep for joy).

Here is one woman willing to sacrifice so much time to help others she hasn't met and probably will never meet completely free.

Such selflessness can never go unrewarded. I have a request to make but I will take my time and word it properly so that you don't burn me like you did Allstrasse who has disappeared into his shell never to show up again.

The Report of today's outing..

Nutrientrich and Fairy's Doughnuts.

1) Taste: They both taste good, but nutrientrich is sweeter because it has more jam and sugar which will be preferably for student while fairy has lesser jam and it moderate for adult, it has lesser sugar and jam.

2) Size: They are both of the same size, when you look at it closely fairy's size is bigger.. (A little bit)

3) Packaging: The packaging is good.

4) Location: Madam karin001 needs to discuss with them concerning the location because it will not be easy to spend 600 naira from my place to ojodu. Nutrientrich said they will be opening a new location at ikotun which will be better for some of us from alimosho environs.

5) Price: karin001 has already told us about the price.

I guess that all for now.

Karin,

We missed out on that one (weight). Never occurred to us but on the surface Fairy's is a bit bigger than Sob's. May be they should say that themselves.

I later shared stuff with AstuteJay

Happy Independence Day in advance and let us act well our parts to make our country a better place for all.

If You reside Close to Chrisland in Idimu, that means you're closer to Idimu axis. Why not consider working around idimu/orisumbare/ shasha and maybe even the tail end of egbeda(pipeline/isheri) close to Idimu. I'm of the opinion that the mentioned areas are closest to you.
More so, no one is yet to pick that region. But I stand to be corrected.

My suggestion is subject to Karin's approval though.

I feel inclined towards you due to proximity of regions, so please share your thoughts on my opinion (if you don't mind).
My dear you got it all right, today I went on a road trip I passed through chrisland towards that redeemed estate; the area as I was told is akowonjo through shasha after which I passed through orisumibare back home.It was quite a ride,I also intend to add ile iwe axis to it as that area is also within my reach.Thank you so much for looking out for me

I think our old sage has approached this very well. If you cannot approach the survey which is just moving around, how do you intend to handle the sales which might sometimes require you carrying the products in both arms for a distance.

Again on the capital outlay, it is quite flexible, you can buy just what you wish to sell for that day only.

As a matter of fact, in planning for Tuesday, I realized that the best way to go about this is the following;

We will only need an investment of less than 5,000 each. We will only buy what we can try out for that day. You can buy for as little as 1,000.00.

Secondly, payment will only be made on delivery. This will just be for the first week.

I am hoping that I will be able to convince the Production company in this regard.
Hi Karin,to me this is a golden opportunity I cant afford to miss.I want to go out there and do something and gain experience as I have future plans to own my company someday. I know it might not be easy considering that I have a baby but I refuse to give up.I am unperturbed and determined, slowly but surely I know I will succeed.

Hello Sir, it was nice meeting you and lexayd4g today.

However, I may not be able to explain why my products are all 'nutrient rich' and heart healthy as that is my own competitive advantage which gives me the edge Over other similar products.

Like I explained to you, the doughnuts do not have to be deep-fried the conventional way to come out that great.

I stumbled on the heart healthy procedure during some research I embarked upon for my Masters degree in Food Processing Technology.

I hope you now understand why I won't be able to reveal my 'business secret'.

However I'd be willing to answer other questions from you and any other person on the thread.

Thanks Sir

When that man made the sponsorship offer, I knew what your response would be and it was just so. So, I'll be going back to page 3 and patiently follow till I meet up with you.

You are too smooth. This might be the key to my entrepreneural success. My N20,000 is ready. Even if I'm not part of the chosen 20, I will play from the sideline.

God bless you.

Between quality and price, which one among it highly determine the demand for FMCG product.
The reasone why I am asking is because I notice emphasis on #100.00 as the maximum price for FMCG product we want to market from Karin001 and Blackie.
Hence, does that means FMCG product of #150.00 price will have low patronage compared to #100.00 price irrespective of its quality.
Expecting response.

A price of N150 won't work for any FMCG Product. Consumers would see it as excessive. See Gala? It's N50. Pet Drinks N100, Sachet Water N5, now N10.
The price is just a single note of the currency denomination. Gala recently took a huge risk by reducing the quantity just to maintain that N50 price.

So, for me, the price is either N50 or N100. It easier to sell. Consumers will be indirectly made to buy more than 1 unit. I No need to look for change (balance).

MS Karin, am I making sense?

Product suggestion.

Packaged Ogi also called pap or akamu. I assume it's a relatively new product.

Got it from a supermarket in Ikeja.

I have a picture. Retail price N70.

The price killed it and the packing and packaging is mediocre. It's either N50 or N100. And not everybody takes pap.

Thanks for all your contributions to this thread.

I have thought about it seriously. I have also consulted two mentors of mine and they both advised the same thing. Based on this information I have decided to develop a plan based on my personal experience.

It will be larger and more encompassing. We may even allow participants from outside Lagos provided we are all sure it will work.

I am working on this plan and hope to post it in two or at most three parts.

I will commence with Part one tomorrow and the second and third one on Thursday.

Commencement or launch date will now be 2nd of October.

I'm not really advertising but I have a company that manufacture a chinchin slicing/cutting machine that can process up to 80bags of flour everyday.
