I have never met Asiwaju personally but I have seen him a couple of times in my dream. this shows my love and yearning for him. I can comfortably say I belong to his school of thought and I put him in the class of great leaders like obafemi awolowo. Though some people may hate him or like him but you can hardly ignore him. And I am proud to be associated with him even when I have only seem in from physically from a distance. 1 Like |

LastProphet: Please permit me to amend slight to read - "that is ONE of the differences....." Another difference is that our leaders do not invest in our education massively. The only notable exception to this being Awolowo who transformed the Western region in six short years (1954-1960) from a poor, uneducated bunch of people to enlightened folks. www.nairaland.com/attachments/1522997_bomadi_primary_jpeg032c5435f6e2155773054653ef75b849 1 Like |

Isn't it ironical that a tribe which arrogates itself as the most sophisticated hold the opinion of one man as the voice of the whole region? allanphash7: They don't learn from history bro... Awolowo was used by the north to put down the only people that could challenge the north. Awo thought they would reward him handsomely; they dealt with him. MKO Abiola was used by the north to deal Awo his last political blow that sent him on his journey to after life. MKO was promised heaven and earth by the north; they stripped him, smelt his rump and killed him. Tinubu was used by the north to put down an emerging power block that was already changing the political equation that has been in favour of the north. They promised him to be figure heads, while he will be 'National Leader'. They are dealing with him now. Enter Fashola the new poster boy of the north. They will use him to deal with Tinubu and promise him power and influence. When he begins to grow, they will deal with him too... Ndi ofe will never learn. " 1 Like 1 Share |

Every single battle tinubu has fought since buhari came into power he has lost, He lost to saraki,he lost to dogara,he lost the ministerial slots battle against fayemi and fashola ,and now he has lost to akeredolu . All these proves the point that the atiku faction is gaining more upper hand within the apc. There will soon be a cabinet reshuffle and anyone deemed to be loyal to tinubu maybe weeded out. 1 Like 1 Share |

first of all i do not know why people are making noise,Tinubu is the cause of his problem, like they say power corrupts, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. Tinubu was the one who broke the agreement when he attempted to go after Kogi state, did he forget that he shouldn't have crossed into the north?he became power drunk thus people in the north do not trust him any more,i keep hearing tinubu has been sidelines for God sake how do you tell me that the man who picked the vice President plus some ministers can be side line,i think Tinubu want to become a God father of some sort for the hole Nigeria but he is about to learn that in Nigeria every region has its on power block because you have become a leading light in the south west doesn't mean you would be accepted in the north,he rather should have turned his eyes to the south south and south east rather than the north, and to be fair i doubt he can take control of either the south south or the south east |

tinubu is not as important as he himself made himself to believe and as sycophants around him made him to believe.obviously he himself does not realise empires and emperors eventuallys falls either to rise again or remain in the historical past. if tinubu is wise,as a muslim, let him leave politics for now and continues life as a muslim cleric. his penchant for greed, for unbridled acquisitions and being godfather of all is bound to fueled hatred and opposition. if he openly moved against buhari,he may come to ruins. except for prayers capable of transforming his vp nominee into ceo of nigeria,i do not see any further option for tinubu's ascendancy. |

BrutalJab: I really don't like quoting someone on nairaland because alot want to proove they know when actually they know nothing,i am only intresed on the bolded below. Obafemi Awolowo was also used by the hausa/fulani to wage the war against Igbos were he suggested that Biafran children by starved which lead to the death of so many. Awolowo was hoping that the hausa/fulani would compensate him by supporting him to become president but it only turned out he had been used and dumped. The northerners threw all their support behind their son Shagari and Awolowo was never president. Chief Emeka Ojukwu respected Chief Awolowo till death,Awolowo never ordered the cut of food supply to Biafra for no reasons,he did that when it was necessary to do so.I was within occurence courtesy of my late dad that fought Biafra and incidentally we were at Ore then, the biafran soldiers waged a deadly attack on nigeria solders in ore and that was why the stop of food supply to biafra stopped.By the ways, why was biafran soldiers marching from benin, ore enroute to lagos?is south west part of Biafra territory?enough of all this rubbish talk of betrayals, if indeed the biafran seccessionists concentrated their effort within their region, they would have succeeded but they choose to toy on other region sovereingty and enslave them because they thinks they are cowards, hence the technical knock out plan of cutting the food supply. 1 Like |

Is stealing, lying, breaking community/societal rules and dictates subjective to the society? Is broad daylight embezzlement/financial misappropriation the order of the day and an acceptable activity in any society regardless of its cultures? So, when serial killers murder other people, it is acceptable because they feel it is right? So, when people are deprived of their fair wages, it is normal -and I don't mean in the "what can we do" way. I mean in the "that's okay, it's acceptable" way? Point to one society where this applies. Since morals are relative, it means that if I deprive you of fair wages after you've done a good job, because feel I'm right, that would be acceptable? If I come into your home and rape your wife/your sister in front of you because I can and have no compunctions about it, you would talk about moral relativity and try to understand my perspective? If I come to your place of business, hire your services or pick up a few items and walk away because I feel I'm justified, that's alright? Where in the world is this common practice? Please educate me. When many people talk about morally relative practices, their arguments and examples typically come from a sexual standpoint -please don't bring this up as I'm familiar with sexual practices in parts of Polynesia. It's not relevant to this discourse (we're not talking about sexual defilement/affairs and its relative acceptance or the lack of it in some societies). I maintain that there are universal principles of fairness, justice, and equity; all of which are tied to morality. These are non-debatable. So, when someone brings up the argument of morally abominable acts not being wrong, I just call bullshyte . AZeD1: |

What a political balderdash ? What's the contribution of Tinubu to the lives of the people of Ondo state. All they care about is enlarging or brooding their political coasts & horizons. Leave the people of Ondo state alone to decide who they want. On Aketi's Victory we stand. We could either win or lose together. |
