Two Formidable Parties To Emerge In 2017 – Obasanjo by emamos: 5:07pm On Oct 03, 2016

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has predicted the alignment and realignment of politicians before the end of 2017 to pave way for the establishment of two strong political parties in the country.
He observed that the present two leading parties – All Progressives (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) – are not vibrant enough to perform the role of ruling and opposition parties respectively.
The ex- President spoke while hosting the delegation of Ondo state Chapter of the Accord Party led by its Chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT), Rev. Adebayo Adeniyi, at his presidential hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Obasanjo, who observed that Accord Party gubernatorial candidate in Ondo state, Mr. Ola Amuda, has a bright political future, urged the seasoned technocrat and former Special Assistant to late Olusegun Agagu to strive hard and make positive impact during the November 26 poll in the state.
A statement issued by the Ola Amuda Campaign Organisation said the former President charged the candidate to hold his supporters and party members firmly for future consolidation of political parties.
The BoT chairman informed Obasanjo that the Accord Party has been waxing stronger since its formation.

That is the way it must be two strong parties with other hang abouts! Current apc is a gang and pdp is just beginning to recover. Water must finds it level. 2019 will be interesting!

What is there to vote again in Nigeria since INEC led by APC can just write result and ban opposition from collation centre and announce their candidate as winner. I wonder why they will still waste money in Ondo election where APC have written the result already waiting for INEC to announce.

their headache...come 2019 I will "jejely" collect my five thousand (I hopefully pray it is increased to 10,000 by that time) at the polling center because new or old political parties- they are all rebranded thieves!

It's only a matter of time before we hear that the likes of Tinubu, Fayose, Saraki, Ekweremadu, David Mark and Wike, are realigning to form a new party

Just pray that what happened to the people of Kogi state never happen, otherwise what played out is what weshall experience. The people of Kogi state voted massively for a reasonable Kogite in the person of Prince Audu Abubarkar , but the inevitable happened, Prince Audu died on the eve of final announcement of the election he already won by about 90% the votes counted and announced by INEC.He never lived to be decleared & swon In.The party platform he contested on I.e APC , claimed the entire votes and give the victory to whose ever they whish in the person of Yaya Bello.
