Good day to every one in the house. No matter what is happening with dollar and naira now, God will see all of us through. Now my field back. I came across this forum about first quarter of the year. I read through most of the pages. It wasn't easy going through all the pages. I got my B1/B2 visa Feb 2015 for an official trip of which I attended. I had my first kids (twin) over 8yrs ago. I planned travelling with the kids during my annual leave this year so I had to apply for their visas. Visa was approved for them . The plan was for us to visit Florida, little did I know that God had other plans for me. 2months later I realised that I am pregnant. we change plans. In the quest of my research I came across this forum. I sent letter of intent to the USA embassy and I got the usual reply. Got Dr and Hospital quote from HNWMC. We travelled with Emirates 23rd of September. it's was a long trip to JFK but thank God it was a safe trip. Got checked in by the machine, join the line to be interview by Custom officer Officer: good day ma me: good day sir CO: where will you be staying in the US me: 2 weeks with my friend in NY after which I go to Houston to have my baby CO: He stretch out to look at my stomach. He asked after having your baby will you come back to NY? me:No my ticket is booked for (Abj to JFK and Houston to Abj) CO: what is your friend address? Me: the address filled in the immigration form given to you. and she is outside waiting for me. CO: You have food Me: yes. Co: stamped us in till March 2017 and asked us to go to agric. Agric officer picked on 2 bags out of the six bags at is discretion , scan them and asked me to take my bags and go. Na so my palm oil, coconut oil, and every other orishishi in the other bags scale through. Still in NY resting. Hope to port Houston 8th of October. I appreciate every one here. Thanks for the info given to JJC like us. 28 Likes |

justwise: The pig farmer was obviously lying. Even if all the circumstances he portrayed were true, the arrest fingerprints couldn't have been a lie. The pregnant woman was ill-informed. She wouldnt have had a problem if she had acquainted herself with the airline policy on flying pregnant women. British airways does not fly after 32 weeks. She's already 33 weeks and she bought a ticket for return at 37 weeks. Obviously they cannot fly you. She obviously had an intention to deceive and it became a hopeless case the moment Sarah contacted US embassy with her details. Or maybe she'd have been denied entry at POE anyway and this was God's way of saving her the trouble. Hope people will learn! 4 Likes |

SlowlybtSurely: I'm sure about their policy however what you cannot rule out is that the airline official checking you in may not notice you're pregnant. I once flew lufthansa heavily pregnant and they did not notice I was pregnant and never asked for my fit to fly. Did you give them a fit to fly letter staking clearly that you were 35 weeks gone when you were boarding? You should count yourself lucky you were not spotted. BA can be very strict. |

SlowlybtSurely: Sorry guess I mixed it up with Arik. British airways will fly up to 36 weeks with singleton pregnancy and up to 32 weeks for multiple pregnancy. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by veleta: 3:42am On Oct 04, 2016 |
British Airways policy on airlifting pregnant passengers is 36 weeks and it's clearly stipulated on their website. I flew them last month at 36 weeks and my Dr wrote that on my fit to fly . |

I flew BA too is September at 34weeks plus and that was what was stated on my fit to fly. Their policy is 36weeks maximum. The only reason they give some people wahala is because they believe people lie a lot, so when your fit to fly states 34 weeks they add 2-3 weeks. In my case my doctor attached a pic of a scan he took few days before travel date showing the date too, abi scan will not lie Nah. quote author=Rebarobyn post=49896985] I'm sure about their policy however what you cannot rule out is that the airline official checking you in may not notice you're pregnant.
@jamjam5000, please help me with your Poe experience, hospital, cost and doctor to help a sister please. God bless you[/quote Sorry for the late response.i havent been online.POE was NY as hubby and i spent some time there.flew delta to Tampa International Airport. Oby/gyn was The Women's clinic in Tampa, paid 3250 for thier services. Ran a couple of tests cos i was about 28 weeks pregnant. The oby/gyn is more expensive than others as i learnt later on(they are amongst the most elitist in tampa bay area which is abt 1hr from Orlando). I had my baby at St Joseph women hospital in tampa and paid 3800 for a 2 days stay VB which also covers the cost of epidural.i checked in on tuesday 7th sept at 8pm to be induced and had my baby on wed morning and was discharged on friday morning. Used a Nigerian Paediatrician which cost me 250 dollars. Just recieved a bill of 180 dollars supposedly for the cost of tests ran on the baby. Had a 5 star great hospital experience which is worth every dollar. Learnt CS is abt 6500 dollars for 3 days stay at St joes...however, i discovered later on that i would have paid lesser in other hospitals like florida hospital or tampa general so you might need to do some scouting around before making a choice so you will get a great deal. I sent you a pm also 2 Likes |

nefertitiram: Madam it is YOU who should read through the begining of the comments that led here before you open mouth to talk anyhow. I first referenced "birthing center" BECAUSE of "waterbirths" . And in birthing centers not belonging to ob/gyns all you have there are CNMs. Hence the term midwife came into play. If you or your friend had an issue establishing your own case with your VO, how is that my problem biko. Please just be quiet if you don't understand where the conversation is coming from or where it was going to instead of trying to be rude. You don't have to respond to every comment you see here just because "you must talk" . 12 Likes |

Hello TripleKMama, I applied for a visiting visa with my DH and kids and we were granted though I was pregnant but at the very early stage so it wasn't showing on the day of the interview. Much later into the pregnancy, DH and I decided to have the baby in the US. It will be our very first time going to hv a baby outside Naija and even our first time in the US.So we were not even aware of any "change of intent" letter in the first place. And unfortunately too I wasn't aware of this particular thread (though am a NLder) not until I had gotten to the US.God bless Seun Osewa for this kind of forum and also bless everyone that has contributed / is contributing immensely to this thread. Fast forward to as we speak, baby has been born in the US and we (LO and I) will soon return to Naija. DH went back last week. My concern is this; I hope this change of intent letter we didn't write, will not jeopardise our re-entry or LO's re-entry into the US? NB:We intend visiting the US again next year (b4 our visas expire) with the other kids and this new baby. Please advise a bothered sister. quote author=TripleKMama post=49840230]I nefa watch d video o. No data for now but I tink d first point being dat she no inform at initial interview (just like me) and she no com write change of intent. Which I did. Truth is these guys are so thorough & well trained to look out for other stuffs we may not rily know! Do dey make mistakes in d process? Hell yes! But na their country so make we free dem. Me I wrote Change of intent but got a Generic reply which I still printed out. I no attend d conference for which genuinely got d visa. My mama die. Burial. Condolence. Memorial. Etc. Some pipo Get genuine reasons for not following up wit their plans & truly, God has d final say. And if after every, dem no allow u enter, just carry ur waka back to naija dey pray God to open better doors for ya pikin so. Ayam not a US nor UK citizen buh I dey make am for dis life & after I check out,na heaven dey wait me. Wot else do I live for?. It are not a do-or-die affair biko. Amem? Amem!
|
