This discussion about Kanu, Yekini, Legendary is not funny anymore, the thread is getting boring. We supposed to debate and discuss about the future of our football, you guys were saying past things? Are u trying to retrograde our soccer? you were discussing about the years when technical and tactical aspect of football were not fully manifested, when a player can move the ball from the mid-field to goal post and score , is that the modern football we supposed to discuss here?. Abeg if una won discuss the throw back football, Make Oga Joseph open the thread for Una or else, I go plank Una o |

zicky: It was Rivaldo. Boy, that guy was a real Baller. There was also Juninho and Flavio Conceicao. Any one that puts Qualification of the USA 1994 World Cup bigger than Atlanta is joking. The Atlanta '96 win had different African leaders coming to Nigeria to congratulate the President. It was so big that almost every major Street in Nigeria was flooded with people. People jogged from heart of Port Harcourt to Aba and back. Come on guys. That is cheap. |

forgiveness: See, if you would easily market to the younger generation ur so called facts, you cant market that to me. I grew up watching Yekini, I watched Kanu and Okocha. I know the approval ratings each got as at when they were active footballers. If you want to test the popularity of ur facts, create a thread comparing all 3 players: Kanu, Okocha and Yekini and ask sports enthusiast to vote for their greatest legend. 2 Likes |

Icon4s: It seems there is a way to work around the Work Permit challenge Chidi faces. What kept him out from the team is the work permit. City promoted Aleix Garcia and he played in the game against Bournemouth. With Chidi's work rate, I see him having a chance. Guardiola made some scouting trips with Pere Guardiola, Nwakali's agent and Guardiola's brother. They are watching players together. Celtic wanted to buy Nwakali and Guardiola refused. That is a sign Guardiola has interest in him. |

forgiveness: What do you mean by statistics is all that matters. Who is a bigger English legend between Steven Gerald and David Beckham? Steven Gerald scored more goals for England than Beckham: 21 vs 17. Both never won the WC or Euros but Gerald captained a team that won the UEFA champions league. Beckham also won the UEFA champions league. But who is the bigger Legend and why? Do you even know what legendary is all about? "statistics is all that matters". 1 Like |

I don't want it to look as if someone bringing Yekini down, but the truth is yes Yekini was a good striker, Keshi a good defender, Jayjay a good midfielder bt Kanu is just the greatest, after winning the U-17 and the league with Heartland( iwuanyawu), Ajax bought direct from Heartland, Ajax of then one of the best club in Europe with world class players like kluivert, van der sar, Edgar Davids, frank de boer, overmars, not forgetting Finidi, coached by Van Gaal. Someone need to watch the best of Kanu |

Icon4s: I used the word help. We can not depend on Fernandinho the whole season. We need more. The first person I feel we must sign is Dahoud. He is a natural marathon runner. His coach tries to reduce his running on the pitch. Fernandinho will not last long because of his age and Dahoud will need another runner to help him. Man City will buy more and promote more. Gundogan can also help in the deep role. I feel one or two is not enough. That is why Chidi is important to the team. |
