I used WES for my ECA so I can't be certain about IQAS requirements. However, I will assume they will accept "To whom it may concern". People that used IQAS might be able to clarify this. MummyJaygirls: |

Hello house. I need clarification again. I graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science and have been working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist since 2011. I finished my MSc in environmental and Public Health this year from the UK. Although, my occupation (Medical Laboratory Technologist - 3211) is on the NOC but I have decided to do only my MSc evaluation with ECA. My MSc degree is not directly related to my occupation. I hope this won't count against me later if I do not do my Bachelor degree evaluation. Thanks |

Goodmorning. Please I want to understand this POF business. Can the money you're using as POF be the naira in your account? Must it be in US dollars or Canadian dollars? Or is just having he naira equivalent of the money in your account enough? Does one really need to open a DOM account and start funding it in dollars? How will you prove the source of the dollar you're using to fund the account? Thank you. dupyshoo: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 11:19am On Oct 04, 2016 |
I am really not too certain but I think that a naira denominated account should suffice. However, if one has a dom account in foreign currency that should also suffice. The applicant would have to show a clear trail of the source of funds for the foreign currency though, I assume equivalent debits in naira and credits in forex from both accounts' bank statements should be enough evidence for this. For primary source verification of your medical degree/diploma you do not need a transcript. You set up and pay for your physiciansapply account, create a SVR and pay for the document fee. Then you send via post or courier a copy of your medical degree/diploma, passport biodata page, evidence of change of name if applicable, and a completed certified identity confirmation form. I notarised all copies I sent to be safe. Then the MCC reviews the documents and provided there are no errors, uploads them onto your account and sends the medical degree copy to ECFMG for verification. (If there are errors, they send you a message via your account to provide what they need to correct the deficiencies. For example, a copy was cut off on one corner, you would have to send them another copy with all the margins visible). ECFMG then sends a verification request to your medical school. The request is sent by post and contains a copy of your medical degree and a form that your dean fills and signs to confirm that you indeed attended and graduated from said school. It also contains a pre-addressed envelope. I do not think that if the envelope was not used to send the verification back that it would be a problem. However, you have no way of knowing until ECFMG sends feedback on the verification to MCC which usually takes 20 working days. So, if your school sent back by courier, get the tracking number and track it online, check for the date and proof of delivery at ECFMG and count 20 working days from that date. Then check your physiciansapply account. Under documents, you click on medical degree. Then view history. That history shows you the stages and dates on which your document has passed through the different processes. It will also show you if the verification is passed or failed. chifylo: 2 Likes |

Is there anyone who has applied for PR via EE and claimed points for their NYSC period as part of work experience? I would like to know if you included any other evidence apart from the reference letter from your employer in your application. By evidence, I am referring to your nysc discharge certificate and bank statements showing salary payments. Thanks in advance. |

JesusDWay: @JesusDWay, you didnt quite get my question. I am wondering why it is taking forever for WES to evaluate my Unilag degree, i have been on it for over 4 months and wondering if anyone here has had their Unilag transcript evaluated faster by WES. Currently, the status on WES is 'Waiting for verification from institution' and Unilag is saying they have not received anything from WES. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! THANKS A LOT AND GOD BLESS |

Adiahabasi:Yes you can use nysc as work experience. I did that. I served as a physiotherapist in a football academy. I submitted a copy of my nysc ppa posting letter, that one that shows where you are posted to after camp, bank statement were my allawee was being paid into and my employers gave me a reference letter stating my nysc code and apart from the allowance they were paying me extra stipend every month as well |

Jetspeed: Congrats! I am not a "Senior" but I have an idea that you can consider but before then, please clarify; -You don't have any other POF apart from the 25% of your PFA? -Do you have prospective buyers already? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Jetspeed: 10:26am On Oct 05, 2016 |
40manlappy: - Yes only 25% of my PFA - I have buyers already. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 11:12am On Oct 05, 2016 |
Jetspeed: Ok, this is a suggestion: Get one of the prospective buyers that you can trust to execute a legal agreement stating their intention to buy the property before your proposed departure, price and expected date of payment. That may show your intended "audience" that you have receivables that you can bank on as part of your POF. You can also support it with a small explanation. Lawyers in the house can give ideas on this. I want to believe you already have a strategy on how to use 25% of your PFA as POF. If not, it has been discussed on this thread before and I recall that I also contributed. Will try to look for the posts and mention you. One thing I have learned from the experience of others on this thread is that sometimes, we may have to be innovative with documentation and not allow ourselves to be limited by checklists provided our intentions are genuine and reasonable explanation can be provided. You can refine my suggestion as you deem appropriate and share. Others may also benefit from the information. cc: JesusDWay, dupyshoo, superchi, irondome, hartson 2 Likes |
