whats your thought about aviation industry in australia?
my nephew is planning to apply for aviation course in aussie.
l only read post about engineering and medical field being promising.

There is room for any occupation your cousin is interested in. Aviation is a thriving occupation anywhere in the world, you only need to be good at what you do and the sky is the starting point.

Pay for your semester fee as well as OSHC as stated on your offer letter in order to get eCOE.
Documents required are certified copy of eCOE, B.sc cert, passport data page, test of English, yellow card, transcripts etc
You open an immi account, upload your docs & pay for the visa fee using a dollar master card budget 180k for that due to the current exchange rate, proceed to teleperformance (with #7100 present charges) for your biometrics.
If the docs you upload ain't sufficient, you will be contacted for additional docs.

thank you for this information.
I want to pay my school fees too and apply for visa. however, I want to ask some questions.

1) My course will start next feb. when is the best time to apply for visa?
2) I've been reading on this thread that form A is not currently available in Nigerian banks. How true is that? if true, how else do i pay my school fees?
3) The ielts(english test) result I have is that of the academic module. Can that be accepted in lieu of the general module when I'm applying for visa?
4) What is the minimum balance I should have in my account before I can b issued a study visa.

You and your friends have been lucky on several occasions.

It is generally not allowed because if it spills, it can affect other passengers' luggage thereby subjecting the airline to lawsuits.
A problem identified is half-sovled. Packing is vital in all we do.
If you carry not more than 2 liter, make sure the cap is seal properly, not have it as a carry-on baggage then it should be fine. I love to cook my traditional food for my oyibo friends and have been traveling with my palm oil, egusi, anchovies, and semolina to different countries for the past 10 years. China seized my toothpaste in my carry-on but would have been fine in my checked in luggage.

Aviation is not on sol but may be on csol list. Meaning a state has to sponsor him after he graduates. Meanwhile, he does not some flying hours to be able to fly big commercial airlines. Some people travel to indonesia islands, south africa, Botswana rurals or regional areas to get those hours.

You're a gem, thank you very much.

At present she is working but I want her to be well entrenched in her career hence my plan of supporting her to the max.
She has a Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity Trade Certificate.
Can you get her office to sponsor her? Would make her visa processing lot easy. Otherwise you can proceed with her applying but make sure you include letter from office saying she would they are in support of her furthering her studies and would still have a job with them after she returns.
Do not forget to include her job offer letter and payslips.

@WestAfrican how do I certify them
A Notary, ministry of foreign affairs or teleperformance should be ablle to certify if you are using it for visa application.
You may want to double check with Teleperformance cos i know VFS who handles australia visa application for other countries just as teleperformance is for Nigeria does certify.

Chairman, you were lucky bringing palm oil to Australia. Mine was in my luggage, not carry on and the naija scanner and immigration refused to let me carry it.

The best time is now. The earlier the better.

Sorry Ì can't confirm that. As your family member or friends overseas to help you make the payment.

Did your school accept the academic module? If yes you may proceed with your application. Some here have gotten their visas without a writing ielts.

4) What is the minimum balance I should have in my account before I can b issued a study visa.

Do not have a money lodgement as that will raise an eyebrow. Your total balance should cover your first year tuition fees and other living expenses.
Really what matters to immigration is the consistency of money inflow in your account.

On the palm oil issue, some carriers don't allow it on board, either checked in or hand luggage, however, even for those airlines, u will be allowed if you bring it as frozen, pls note that when it comes to Nigerian aviation, govt agencies allow most things when money exchange hands.

1. She can get a letter of job offer with payslips from her employer but I will be the one sponsoring her.
2. She is just 4 months old working there.
3. What's the average salary she should be earning?

Sounds good. Her start date on her offer letter should be 1-2 months after her studies in Australia. Dont for get include your birth certificate and that of your jst to show your relationship with her. All documents must be duly attested for authenticity sake.

2. She is just 4 months old working there.

It dont think it matters as she is still young. Embassy won't care much. Just show her payslips to show she had a job or bank statement is wages or salary was directly into her account.

3. What's the average salary she should be earning?

That does not matter. You are sponsoring her. So your account is what embassy is concerned about. In the form, she would have to put in details of all her siblings. The embassy will work out how many children yoh have to see if the money in your account or your salary can support all your children.

I really appreciate your selfless efforts and advise so far, thanks.
However, could you please expatiate this your statements as I couldn't really understand it:

Aside of the offer letter she got before starting the job, her company has to give her a new offer letter or a letter stating she will get back her job when she completes her studies in Australia.

The immigration will be convinced she is not planning on remaining in Australia after she completes her studies.

If you are sponsoring her and claim she is your daughter you then need to show the immigration some form of relationship. Yours and her birth certificates and maybe some receipt of your paying her tuition fees when she was studying. All of your documents has to be certified.

Did you contact the OSHC provider directly? theirs is always more expensive, why not go through your UNI, it is usually cheaper when you buy through your UNI

hello house, ive been a salient follower of this thread. I got an offer from deakin uni last week. Master of Architecture. feb 2017 is the resumption date. I want to pay the deposit fees and OSHC (AU16,787) as soon as possible, so I can get my coE and start my visa processing fast.

How will i go about the payment? (the cheapest possible way). I've been hearing people talking about form A, what is form A? (pardon my ignorance pls). Will i need a huge bank account statement before I can be granted visa. What are the other things I must note? I welcome all other advices and suggestions from d house.

btw.. who else is going to deakin next year.

Good day everyone.!!

Oga bellong Sir, sorry to bother you again. I was on here some weeks back to ask some questions and you were really helpful. I really appreciate that and i need more of your advice. I have decided to go for a Master degree in Social work after a lot of deliberation and investigation. I have 2 schools in mind and it seems i will be able to get one or both admission, now i just want to be careful i got something right before making the next step. Most assessing body request for at least diploma n bachelor it seems, very rarely do they use one's Master degree to assess at first ( this is what i've learnt from this thread ), but something sticks out with this Msc Social work. It was written on the program website that the course has been accredited for the AASW and recognized for professional qualification at entry point. Also on the AASW website, under Membership eligibility, a Bsc degree OR Msc degree in Social work was highlighted! ( https://www.aasw.asn.au/membership-information/eligibilty), i had to put up the link so you can help me check it out too. Of course my Bsc is in PPE as you know, but is it the case that if i can complete this Msc in Social work, i will be assessed with it under AASW?

Please help me digest it too Bro..
