....maybe if you would stick to the topic rather than going on a crusade to save the reputation of your 'people', this thread would have some sanity to it.

I don't know why it's paining you this much that it's Kanu that has the title of Nigeria's Greatest, maybe you would have slept better knowing it was Yekini or Odegbami or someone whose name you could better relate to?

I know a lot of people intentionally try to keep this out of the conversation so as not to cause trouble, but more often than not, your baseless arguments tend to tilt in favour of a certain tribe.

Stop being so predictable and kniw when to let things go

I remember his brace against Gabon, his cray cray goal against Algeria. Setubal played one season in segunda the next Yekini was the 1st division leading scorer. They don't call u Black god for only scoring in segunda come on mehn.

ABEG E DON DO..... NA ME FOLLOW CAUSE THIS WAHALA

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAAAAA!!!!!

Okay.... Okay... E haff do oooo.... Bikonu... Ejooor oooooo.... Haba!!!

I am sorry ooooo..... Never knew this "legends" talk will bring out certain "emotions".... Analysts talk football and records and see things from all sides of history.... I didn't expect to see "really deep" sentiments from all sides.

Abeg... E don do... Haaaaaaa!!!!! So pesin no fit talk from the records again... Okay ooo...

I apologise... Enough of the legends talk....

I got a Super Eagles Game to look forward to. I am not a Man Utd fan, Arsenal fan, Man City fan, Barca fan, Real madrid fan, Atletico madrid fan, Ac milan fan, Juventus fan, Chelsea fan, etc...

I AM NOT... I GOT NO ATTACHMENTS TO ANY FOREIGN CLUBSIDE. GOSH!!!!!

ALL MY LIFE... IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE "SUPER EAGLES", "SUPER FALCONS", "DREAM TEAM EAGLES", "FLYING EAGLES", "SUPER FALCONETS" (right from 2001/02), "GOLDEN EAGLETS", "FLAMINGOES" (right from 2007/08), "THE SUPER SAND EAGLES" (BEACH SOCCER), THE FUTSAL EAGLES (EVEN THOUGH WE HAVEN'T MADE AN IMPACT HERE YET), AND CERTAIN NIGERIAN CLUBSIDES THAT CONNECT THE PAST, THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE (e.g. Rangers, Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Ifeanyi Ubah FC, Shooting Stars (3SC formerly IICC), and a couple more).

Why am I saying this? I am a full-blooded Nigerian football fan and super enthusiast... I never fancied a foreign clubside apart from my national sides... BUT I HEAVILY FOLLOW INTERNATIONAL CLUB FOOTBALL WITH MORE FOCUS ON THE CLUBSIDES OF OUR PLAYERS...

SO PLEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEE..... THIS IS MY HOME THREAD!!!!!!! MAKE UNA STOP ABEG......

I don't normally appear on european match threads coz I am more attached to home no matter how high and far I go in life.

So please.... I AM BEGGING. LET'S END "FOR GOOD" THE LEGENDS DEBATE..... I AM SORRY FOR BEING ONE OF THE MAIN ACTORS. ABEG.... smiley

either victor osihemen or nacho will surpass dat record if not double It
azzin, 37 goals scored mostly against African nations back when the only training most footballers had was from street ball.

I'll be highly disappointed in this generation if they can't out match that even though today's football has a lot more rules to reduce the number of goals one can amass, was the offside rule even in existence back then?

If 23-year old Neymar could rack up 50 goals for Brazil, then by all means, Nacho or Osimhen better lace up their boots to break some records

I wonder why calling a spade what it is causes you to lash out like this.

Considering you've never been part of the "my brother is great because he's my brother" brigade, it makes me wonder. Only a guilty party should be vexed.

An indictment on one is not an indictment on all.

Btw, my father who has watched Nigerian football far longer than any of you kids on this thread says that any Top 10 list without the likes of Thunder Balogun, Amasieamaka, and Gideon Nduka as Nigeria's Greatest is a rubbish list.

So, you kids wanking over lesser players like Kanu and Yekini need to keep your baseless opinions to yourself rather than throw it around as 'fact'.

The team will have to be strengthened. They have have to buy more experienced players fund the team adequately. At least, let them get to the group stages and we will go from there. Another pointer- Rangers has a huge home advantage because of their intimidating supporters. Believe me it will not be like Enyimba experience in Port Harcourt. Enyimba might have won more trophies in Africa but Rangers is a traditional Nigerian team, all they needed is a little push and they will conquer Africa.

I personally apologise for how some of you are seeing this coz I was part of the so-called debate.

Some people just don't wanna let it go. They wanna have "the last word" at all costs.

I said, "I'm done" yesterday and I maintain that. My mind is on the next movie release, "The battle of Ndola" smiley

So biko no vex... Something has to lead to something which leads to another thing. This is the Super Eagles thread so that's how it's all connected because these legends were ex-Super Eagles. So abeg e ma bi nu ok... smiley

The argument wasn't that bad earlier but yet, was headed for disaster. If we were really that sensitive, we would understand that it has gone beyond "just an argument" to bashing a player for another just to prove a point. U pointed this out some time in one of ur posts, I expected some people to see that, perhaps they weren't that sensitive or maybe they were but chose to turn a blind eye for reasons best known to them.

Sometimes u just have to let people believe what they want, it doesn't make u a weakling neither does it change the records. It is hard to see people peddle lies, and pretend u didn't see it though, but when u must av given ur corrections and they remain obstinate, let them dwell in their lies due to the saying "whatever that rocks ur ship but doesn't sink mine".

BTW, if what am reading lately concerning Ndidi is anything to go by, then...wow! We have another Super talent in him ooo.

Ok u were right. I went back and watched the match again, Egwim's leg broke before he got to the keeper. I also i'm sorry for him.

I'm glad you took ur time to see the replay on the screen. If the stadium TV was working, people would have seen the replay from the stands before grumbling and blaming the keeper. By the way, that wasn't a penalty, I guess it was given out of panic and to pacify the home crowd.

My dear oo...!!

By the way, what would be your line up in Ndola after injuries have forced us to reshuffle? I would want Nacho to be cutting in from the RW, and Moses Simon LW, I would rather Iwobi started behind Ideye as the AMF and Mikel as CMF, would have loved a double pivot ( Ndidi and Onazi) because the Zambians are full of PACE but but due to Mikel's experience and influence both on and off the field, I would play Onazi as the only DMF if he wouldn't be running "upandan" while Ndidi benches. Then Omeruo would partner Ekong while Mohammed and Echiejile start from the right and left respectively. Ikeme man's the post.

I chose Ideye because he is a hustler upfront and can help destabilize the defense of the Zambians, allowing Iwobi and Nacho to pounce. I would like him an unsung hero. While the striking burdens be left on Simon, Iwobi and Nacho. Ideye can do well aerially.

Don't forget Iwobi shoots well, and with precision. Moses shoots well too. I just need all our strikers playing because a win away in the tough turf of Ndola will be a good way to start. Chances might be few.
