An indigenous firm, Erisco Foods, has said it may be forced to shut down its production in the country due to its inability to access foreign exchange from the Central Bank of Nigeria for the procurement of machinery. http://www.dailypost.ng/2016/10/05/forex-erisco-foods-threatens-fire-1500-workers-leave-nigeria/?utm_source=snap_dp1&utm_medium=twitter 3 Likes 2 Shares

As I always say, Buhari is not business friendly. The CBN is keeping the forex for Dangote, notwithstanding that some of his business interests in other African countries is sapping our scarce forex. Forget about the soundbites, Mr President's standing order to CBN cannot be overrule hence Erisco should approach a commercial bank for a higher exchange rate and consequently transfers the cost to the consumers. 104 Likes 7 Shares |

“It is difficult for indigenous manufacturers to access forex despite CBN’s promise to manufacturers that they will allocate 60 per cent of foreign exchange to them.this is one of the reasons why the economy was plunged into recession, the govt is just so irrational ,indolent and insensitive. The worst thing is that Buhari is lying to investors that Nigeria is now very safe for doing business and that investors are falling over themselves to come and invest in Nigeria even when it is glaring that investors are pulling out of the economy due to the harsh business environment. Buhari should reshuffle his cabinet members and engage seasoned and veteran economists, and also he should not always restrict the decision making to himself. 96 Likes 6 Shares |

Some politicians have access to forex from their sitting room at the official rate meanwhile manufacturers are crawling for forex just to import machineries and co.. PMB and his economic team needs to hide their heads in shame.. Just in a year and some months PMB took over power, almost a million Nigerians have lost their jobs due to their archaic policies.. #IncompetentGovt! 62 Likes 2 Shares |

Buhari is a curse. Nigeria will be a failed state by 2020 if we don't boot this dullard of a president out of office The only way out of this Dilemma is for the clueless-in-chief, chief excuse maker of the federation to step down as president of the nation. 2000 persons to loose their jobs. Haaaaa, we are in for it, in this country. 39 Likes 1 Share |
