Keep whatever issues you have with dino to yourself.

There's no sense in asking for pardon for looters. Its either you are a looter or a potential looter too.

I don't know how you want to prevent a crime if there's no punishment for it. You can as well say there should be no laws again, since pardon can be granted anyhow.

I repeat, with this your comment, you are a potential looter.
No problem,I am a looter. Since Buhari has been president who has gone to jail? How much has EFCC spent in prosecuting the thieves and looters?
Presidency that spent 3.4bn on toilets for unity schools or the millions they spent the other day for a two day seminar without results? the funds that was used to even sponsor the elections, where did it come from? Buhari does not posses the moral fortitude to prosecute the war against corruption to the end because both he himself and those close to him would be roped in. Where is Saraki today? Isnt he wining and dinning with the president? What about all the allegations against him? Instead of fighting this scripted battle on the media, presidency should get as much money from the looters, pump it into the economy and salvage this country before it becomes the Zimbabwe of the West.

He actually made sense compared to what you wrote.
Yes they stole and we're angry but then you won't get the monies back by prosecuting them. All you'll get that way is at best jail time.
Jail time doesn't help you and me, but returned monies would.
The people he is prosecuting are strong enough to either build or destroy our economy.
Better do gra gra with sense.
In any, and I mean any society the elite are a stronger power than the leadership, unless the elite are the leadership, which is the case in Nigeria.
Btw fighting corruption is witch-hunting people, it's enforcing policies and not SELECTIVELY.

It made sense to you because you are one of them or you are a potential looter.

And its obvious you are not saying this in the genuine interest of the country. Why are you so concerned about the amount efcc is using to prosecute the looters than the loot itself. Your statement easily gives you away as a beneficiary of loots.

No sane Nigerian will ask that looters of our treasury be granted pardon just like that. You are just being smart by half.

If you are not being mischevious, you will know pardon encourages more than discourage looters.

Whether it is selective or not, stop using panadol to cure cancer. The onus is on the accused to prove his innocence.

It is obvious the major problem all these people have with this govt is its anti corruption posture. They want to continue their looting but PMB has not allowed them.

It is also obvious that the main problem Nigeria has is corruption. If corruption is curbed, a lot of things will start to function properly including the economy.
no it isn'
All other countries are corrupt
All (except maybe the Scandinavian ones)

But they want to continue to loot and still want the economy to function.
it can
You can imagine a senator asking for pardon for looters
smartest thing out of his mouth
What will be the thinking of other potential looters or even the common man/masses

Shame on you Dino!!!
for once ride on dino

If PMB grant pardon to these bastards who took what doesn't belong to them, then he should grant pardon to every single person who has broken the law.

The law is there for all to follow, not a select few who believe themselves to be above the law and see themselves as primus interparas.

It is left for PMB to use the machinery at his disposal to prosecute these kleptomaniacs and recover the looted sum. It's just the way it is, giving them pardon will be making others believe they too will be pardoned when they steal.

Beside, there's no record of how much these kleptomaniacs stole... so what's to guarantee they will return everything?.
would you rather spend 4 years pursuing 400 billion dollars that will fight back (mind you you only have about 15 billion and can only allocate about 10 million to efcc. Or allow them to invest this loot in industry and agric. Imagine 150 trillion injection into our economy (farm factor housing transport electricity mining) instead of chasing money you can never get back

What truth is there in your sentence? It is not as if you are telling us something we didn't know or didn't want to know. But you are telling us to embrace looters on the assumption that their loots might benefit the economy which we classify as insane.

You missed my point entirely. Read again.
Anyway seeing as I'm a potential looter and you're not, I'd prefer it that way and retain my common sense and good judgement.
No one ever said pardon them 100%.
But most likely when they are prosecuted, they'll go for a plea bargain. So anyways there's no 100% justice.. Just good justice.
By the way, the Buhari u so vehemently support is a looter himself who said he DOESN'T BELIEVE THE ABACHA FAMILY STOLE ANY MONEY. So Oga what's your p?
He has a cabinet of looters if your expo is anything to go by. So what exactly is your point?
Btw coercing prosecution and the judiciary in Nigeria by trying to ensure conviction isn't good. It's CORRUPTION.
Corruption isn't all about money. You yourself are a corrupt Nigerian so shut up. The average Nigerian is.
In fact all Nigerians are. In our society, its unavoidable.
Think again.

Dino Milaye lacks charisma of respresentative who shul b in upper legislature nor in d lower house as well. Ideal place for him is to hav become secretary of NURTW or unions of protesters, if any. His love for vintage vehicles perhaps indicate that h loves to live in d past, hence he is nonconformist.

Be practical our recession today is cos of the corruption fighting slogan of this administration. Those with little or no economic weight are cheering while the levers of economic might are just in suspension watching and waiting for a change in current bragadooo!
Every economy and nation is corrupt. It is not a nigerian thing but, human. However, the reduction in corruption must mean expanding opportunities in an inclusive manner not, arresting and media serialization. We don't need series on corruption we need better lives.
This govt doesn't get it. The monies in the hands of many will ginger the economy if they are not encouraged to hide them away.

Birds of same feather. Aburo Common Sense Senator. Eyin werey. Na looted money dem use train you abi?

Do you have comprehension problems?

Are you telling me those acts et al are not amendable as the op I quoted implied?

Or that a new act or law cannot be passed into the constitution, that can override the abovementioned acts?

Don't disturb me with your ignorance pls.

Guess you don't know what is happening in the Philippines today...

I am staying directly on the message which is Ground Corruption to a Halt. No field day for any criminal. If we should go by Dino's insane suggestion, then every other types of criminals like Kidnappers, Armed Robbers, Cattle Rustlers, Drug dealers and smugglers should be given amnesty too. There is a reason we have anti-corruption laws. EFCC and ICPC were not created for fun. We have laws in this land. Let the laws take their cause. Corrupt politicians must not be pardoned

It is not smart governance to be chasing say 10bn$ while the economy shades 250bn$!

Do you even know why we're currently where we are? What did we gain when corruption was not fought? If fighting corruption shades $, tell me the $ that not fighting corruption has brought us. We humans have short memory and we always encourage quick fix. There is no excuse for corruption to be allowed to go unpunished. Corruption is the only element of bad governance that Nigeria have. I can understand if you talk about Niger Delta militants but corrupt people? No! Corruption brought us where we are. Nigeria made over 30 trillion naira since we discovered oil but nothing to show for it. It's corruption that made our healthcare, schools and public institutions so degenerate as it is now. Corruption is responsible for bad roads, lack of power, and ultimately contributed to the unemployment we have now.

If you insist on this, I can't help but to believe you benefited from corruption.

Buhari brought us here! I challenge apc to substitute buhari with any of their Other candidates in the primaries and see recession disappears!

You really need a reorientation!

Do you think laws are changed like clothes, especially the minuscule number in the constitution?

Or that most laws show the will of the people? You're swimming in an ocean of delusion with such mindset!

Now the worst of it all is your view that laws should be changed to accommodate looters so that they'll return their stolen money. Such ignorance! Like I said the laws in our country are hinged on one ultimate stance: that corruption is a crime and must be punished and that, for all its intent and purpose, is unshifting.

My friend go sit your ass down.

Is bombing of pipelines not a crime? Why did Yaradua of blessed memory come up with amnesty for militants who agree to surrender their arms? Desperate times call for desperate measures and this is also examplified by the fact that BH terrorists are being negotiated with just to achieve a desperate aim - the return of the kidnapped chibok girls, now does this mean terrorism is condoned or is no longer a crime punishable under our laws?

Recession and severe economic hardship (desperate times) call for out of the box thinking like giving looters a window to return all loots (desperate measures).

Nice one.

And that is why another militant group; Niger Delta Avengers sprang up. So much for thinking outside the box!

Who even told you that the FG is negotiating with BH?

Seemingly, you're the only one on NL who doesn't know that FG has been trying to negotiate with BH for the release of the chibok girls.

As for the NDA, Buhari's divisive words, body language and actions are enough to burn down any country. Don't you wonder why Nigeria is now divided as never seen before in the annals of her history?

You don't seem to be conversant with happenings around you talk more of the history of this country.
