Call Centre Agents To Drag Gbenga Adebayo To Court

Disengaged staff of Communication Network Support Services Limited (CNSSL) Contact Centre Limited have vowed to drag Group Chief Executive Officer of the company, Engr Gbenga Adebayo to court, if he fails to pay all their entitlement before 6pm on Friday; October 7, 2016.
This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by Spokesperson of Professional Customer Care Representatives (PCCR is the group fighting for payment of entitlement of affected agents in Ilorin), Wale Oyelola on Thursday in Ilorin.
The statement reads: “We are ready to sue Group CEO of CNSSL, Engr Gbenga Adebayo/CNSSL Contact Centre Limited if the company fails to pay all our entitlements before 6pm on Friday, October 7, 2016. Our lawyers served the Group CEO/CNSSL on Tuesday to demand for payment of all our entitlements which include; September Salary, Leave Allowance and remit outstanding 12 months pensions to our PFAs.
“We don't have any other choice than to sue them if they fail to pay all our entitlements before 6pm on Friday. We are ready to pursue this case up to Supreme Court, if the need arise. Gbenga Adebayo, who is also owner of Royal FM in Ilorin is not above the law. Over 200 agents are supporting PCCR to use legal means to get all our entitlements.
“We also condemned in strong terms the actions of Adebayo’s foot soldiers ( Adeyemi Badewa, Macdonald Ameachi, Regina Adoda, Adekunle Idowu and others) in Ilorin for blackmailing PCCR co-ordinators of sell out. For record purpose, none of the PCCR main actors have signed the Clearance Form and we can’t sign it.

The section 3 of the clearance form reads: “I hereby further confirm and declare that I have no claims, rights or entitlements whatsoever and howsoever against CNSSLCCL or its agents or representative, whether civil or criminal, at Common Law, under any Statute or in tort arising out of or in connection with my service with the Company.”

"We advise all our members not to be deceived by propaganda of these foot soldiers. Let us remain peaceful and patient as we start the long walk to victory”

I'd say its inhumane for Engr Gbenga Adebayo not to pay Sept salary of his workers up till this moment just because they refused to sign a clearance form which states the company doesn't owe any thing once u append your signature while they currently owe 9 months pension ,tax certificate, leave allowances and salary for the month . This totally means the man has no regard for his employees. I hope the law of the nation is strong enough to make people like him come back to their senses and stop depriving employees of their entitlements .it's a shame tho ,i used to think the man had integrity.

This man has been doing this for long. He likes people working for him but he does not like paying their entitlements. To recall: Engr. Gbenga Adebayo did same thing to CCRs in Jos when he laid off over 1000 agents when they agitated for salary increment. He did same to CCRs at Mainfair online centre as well last year. They had to cry out before he settle them. Now it is Ilorin onilne center agents turns now. Trust me, this man is nothing but an oppressor of the vulnerable Nigerians as a result of high rate of unemployment. This kind of person must be made known to other companies who may want to do business with CNSSL CEO.

I'm not supporting his unwillingness to pay the employees entitlement neither do I support signing the clearance without being relief properly.

I am also an employee in his establishment and he owes us our benefits too. However, I want the agitators to know that this was a man that has treated his employee right before his contract was revoked by MTN. When all was rosy, he paaid salaries before month end and the salaries compare to what ISON propose to pay was appreciable with much friendly working conditions.

This Man is going through a hard time right now as well, we can only pray it get better. Litigation on civil matters is based on Balance Of Probability, both the plaintiffs and respondent get their fair share!!

I'll suggest you settle this matter, not by court case but by Alternative Dispute Resolution cos Litigation takes time.
