This isn't quite true especially of the ones who grew up in the West.
Even abroad they speak their language and are surprised that you don't understand it, as though Yoruba is a lingua franca of Nigeria.
They however get suspicious when you speak in your language and request, albeit playfully, that you translate.
Lagos is west and i have not seen anyone been suprised that you dont speak Yoruba...who language epp?

TooEasy: Yoruba guys and igbo girls have flair for each other: we always see them play, gist, party together. Some of them even dated. They are just kind of connected.

4. Once an igbo woman loves you, it means she loves you and she does not bloody care about what people will say! "Mehn igbo women sabi love o" they are also attracted to yoruba guys!

Very Pathetic! Stop talking trash!

U are a yoruba oloshi that opened this thread 4 the soul purpose of propagating falsehood.

Igbo women are beautifully raised by their igbo family, go and raise ur yoruba women to be beautiful as opposed to the animals u consider them to be.

It is important u know igbo women are married in every tribe in Nigeria and abroad by other blacks and whites, the largest number is with igbo men which is about 95%.

Get dat into ur head, igbo women 4 igbo men.

@OP, mpandevee (I don't know if you are TIV? I am Yoruba) grin You seem to have done some good research during your service. Most of your observations are quite correct but some can not be generalized!
As for the Ekiti people; The Ekiti and the Ijesha are generally very stubborn among the Yorubas (consider Aregbesola (Ijesha) and Fayose (Ekiti)), they are not criminals but they are very stubborn, they can quickly degenerate argument into a fight cheesy

Ekiti people hen,very very stubborn..

We must bring back our tradition and marry them ten, ten, it is very clear one is not enough. I am tired of this afonja running their mouth becos of left overs.

First start with marry one and keep dating five, na so.

AFONJA

Guy i say in Lagos the case is the same.

The problem only starts wen other groups have the Rich and Abroad to offer, both black and white. grin grin grin

Our sister go say nwanne no time, i don dey near 30, some will ride it to 35 waiting for that igbo guy with much to offer, it is wat society have taught them. grin grin grin grin grin

To go after already made things. Nobody want to suffer or struggle with anybody for the wealth any longer.

Then again alot of igbo guys abroad too like white yansh and all the foreign women, they end up marrying abroad.

We need to reserve wife 4 dem from Alaigbo too. They must marry from home as well.

U kno igbo we dnt see this celeb gals to be too responsible dats when the afonjas will tak d slightes tiny chance to jump in.. to see if luck will favour them

Growing up, my mum will warn me off any Nollywood, modeling and musician girl. She forbid my sisters from going anywhere near those profession. She called women in such profession prostitutes.

U see alot of igbo men in those profession, but none will agree to marry their female co-star. There is a stigma that make marriage almost impossible, any person from an igbo family knows how their mother talks about those girls.

Once Mama start, Papa go carry chair turn Chairman and case clossed. U cannot marry her.

So out of all the things I wrote up there the only thing that struck you is about igbo women ? And beside, I don't need to convince you about my identity because you are simply looking for someone to ridicule and I just checked your previous post on nairaland and all I can say is I've wasted my time engaging you in an argument. I pity Yoruba women sha. Their men are the most thirstiest niggas on the planet . Thirsting after any shiny thing like they don't have women where they come from.
Igbos men are serious? Damn right, they are. Money must be made as quickly as possible. Time waits for no man.
That is why we make the best husbands.

Laaaal first of all, I don't like to join the Yoruba men like chitgbo women and vice versa crew because it just sounds stupid. Love is mutual

BBUT! The truth is, inter-tribal marriage between Yoruba men and chitgbo women is happening on a large scale although still not as high as yoruba-yoruba/chitgbo-chitgbo. No jokes! Same thing with Yoruba men and women from the south south.

You can console yourself all you want.

I'm personally not comfortable with this because I feel the current gen of Yoruba men aren't that culturally conscious so the culture might be under threat.

As a chitgbo , you should be worried as well instead of denying it

Yoruba men inter married Nupe women in the past but the culture was still preserved because they were culturally conscious but the same can't be said about this generation

Btw, it seems this fantasy in the heads of these afonjas about Igbo women and Yoruba men is mostly a product of the lagos environment.
There are very few parents or even ladies who grew up and live in the east who would easily agree to marriage with Yoruba men.
There are so many anti-Yoruba stereotypes in the east that would make such a union an uphill task.
Thank God for the Lagos melting pot.
