This your story reminds me of my past relationships and tear fell from my eyes, have been in a lot of bad relationship that I even wondered if this relationship/marriage thing is for me and that's why I gave up till now..
My fear is if marriage represents what have gone thru in the past then am not sure if it can work, up till now am still not fully healed cause of the past, and my greatest fear is my partner cheating on me and I caught her I will never forgive her, cause even just me imagining my partner is been screw by someone else drives me crazy...

That is where compromise plays a big role my brother. Every man is scared of that day when he finally catches his woman with another. It is unthinkable to many men. However when it finally happens it burns down your pride and puts you to the floor..Lol My first marriage ended after I found out the woman I could swear for was being banged by an elderly man. It was the biggest shock of my life. However I was willing to forgive her. It was the shame and guilt that took her out though! My brother man no die man no rotten.

what if in the long run it gets boring with everything looking like a routine with the fire that was present initially, will she try to rekindle it? As we know most ladies (not all) tend to wait for the guy to everything to spice it all up, from kinky gossips or just gisting.

What if she doesn't have time for me and probably loves the kids more?

what if love making becomes more like a chore or routine, would she try to spice it up and become more adventurous?

what if am no more would she be able to handle everything all on her own ( men die before that wives).

what if she changes during the course of marriage ( like show her true colour or character)


what if she can't bear the usual hustle and bustle in marriage and decides to quit? ( marriage isn't all smooth)


Experienced minds can help out here and you can share yours too.

No matter how extremely patient,careful,prayerful,diligent and all put together we can ever be in choosing a spouse,marriage will always be like a mystery box which could present us with a good content,a bad content or a manageable content and no matter how sweet that guy or lady may seem during the years of courtship, always expect the worst while you work for the best.

As for me, once i see a lady that is pleasing to my eyes, a good cook and also fears and loves GOD then im good to go and ready to tolerate because no matter how many times you change partners, everyone you meet will always have a reason to like or dislike them

Bro I feel your comment but am not sure if I can be able to handle that or if I will be able to handle that, so people will turn it to violence but me am not sure cause I will loose all my power and strength my God help me if I don't die on the spot, cause it forever heart ache for me I can't stand such or best I can relocate and leave the country cause I will never want to have anything to do with her ever again nor set my eyes on her

Fear that one day it's not gonna work anymore. angry That my partner would no longer find me appealing to him. embarassed That I might explode
one day just like a time bomb. (I have the tendency to flip on within minutes)

That I will spend the rest of my life wallowing in poverty, if anything should go wrong. cry

Thanks for that. I just like ya mentality and the fact that you haven't time out to study/embrace who you're as a person. That's something a lot of people don't do. And they always end up spending a lifetime trying to be who they're not, while running around in circles perambulating the same spot like the London eye - with no progress whatsoever.

Also, I don't think having kids with different women is healthy. It creates more burden/stress for you as an individual and it also puts ya kids in an unhealthy space/rivalry they don't deserve. Hence in whatever you do - the focus should always be the kids and putting them in a decent space, while giving them the best shot at life. So as to enable them to surpass you and be the best they can be. Kids are the prize.

I think the real fear of most women is that their beloved husbands may cheat on them after some time. Many women know but don't voice this fear.

There's no way the woman you marry wouldn't change physically, and there's no way you wouldn't change physically. Women change their behaviors, men do too..... so your statement sounds sexist. Aside that, that's why your priority shouldn't be looks when looking for who to marry because you would be disappointed. It might be a necessary condition but not a sufficient one. People age, we all have to be selfless and learn to deal with it. You don't love your mom less now than you did 20 years ago, do you?

The man felt very sorry and said no. He explained that he did not even have enough money to fix the strap of his watch he had just broken.

She did not insist on her request.

The man went to work and passed by a watch shop, sold his damaged watch at a low price and went to buy a comb for his wife.

He came home in the evening with the comb in his hand ready to give to his wife.

He was surprised when he saw his wife with a very short hair cut.

She had sold her hair and was holding a new watch band.

Tears flowed simultaneously from their eyes, not for the futility of their actions, but for the reciprocity of their love.

Yes thats my fear, will she be able to reciprocate my love? Cos i hv got lots of it to give. Or take advantage of it to work against me? Cos love makes me weak..

I'm not Hugh Hefner. Once you've been around a lot of women, you'd know that the overwhelming majority of them, regardless of the ideology they hide under or achievement, don't have much to offer you apart from sex. Hence most conversations with women are always centered around what you're bringing to the table as a guy - not them. And when you also consider the fact that it can be stressful dealing with them at times and loyalty is foreign to them cos they're naturally wired to living in the moment - it's always better to do what makes you happy and focus on yourself.

If you're the type that likes the company of different women and you tend to appreciate the alluring diversity of the beauty of womanhood - why put yourself in a box when you can be free as a bird? Conversely, if you want to sign some documents and be committed to the stress and disrespectful nature of one woman clogging up ya space (a lot of women don't even know how to talk and the more they get comfortable around you, the more disrespectful they tend to get), for the rest of ya life, for one puzzy - do you. It's a free world. grin
