@ Godmother, based on my experience baby is the one that will decide when to come and the method of birth. I tried all the natural ways of induction(pineapple,long trek, dance, I even climbed stairs tire) it didn't work for me.
As regards the use of castor oil plz listen to your mum's advice, I heard once you use it you can't control d labour. Whatever method of induction you decide on I wish you supernatural delivery, mother alive baby alive ijn.

her late son died at 1year6months. when the baby was alive she does not feed her in my presence any time I come around she will excuse me to go feed her late son in the bedroom, the baby will yell and cry, feeding the baby takes 1hour. one day I told her that I want to see what and how she feed her baby, she laughed and said im lucky that her neighbor is not around that she will feed her outside today. she gave Me wrapper to tie and brought out lots of nakpins, she brought big bowl of food(cerelac,Gerber and sma )immediately I saw it I was dump founded, she scoop the food with cup , use napkin to cover the baby nose while the baby grasp for breath and was pooing and farting and the same time, she fed the baby 1 very very big bowl food, I was scared that baby should not suffocate, after eating the baby doze and snore off.
The baby could not walk, @1yr3months without crawling.
The baby died as he was feeding him and was bleeding from the nose....
I could not tell the husband what I saw cause I don't want to be tagged a homebreaker and I was TTC then, now God blessed her with a son again and she has started again to overfeed the baby.

My mom told me some months back that she induced with castor oil mixed with lime. I reminded her recently and she has been begging me not to try it. I also read of a woman online who induced her 3 pregnancies with casto oil and went into labour within 30 minutes. Who has tried it?

Much as I want my lo to come out I don't want anything that will harm her in the slightest. If castor oil is bad what alternatives can I use. I was born at 36 weeks so I feel its not too early for my lo to come out.

I won't be pregnant for ever. Let the baby stay as long as it can so far she doesn't exceed 41 weeks mark.
Pregnancy is typically 40 weeks not 9months like we use to assume. For all you know your mom was pregnant for 40 weeks.
Let baby bake well. Find ways to distract yourself.
You know what it takes to force a baby out? Imagine the landlord kicking you out before you have a chance to pack.
I know the last weeks can be tiring but hold on. It will soon end in praise.

Castor oil for even women that are due (38-40) is dangerous. If your cervix isnt dilatating,the induction will fail, your child will be born distressed ( cos you were trying to drag her out) and you will have to undergo CS. Worst still your body could forcefully push baby out and tear your cervix which could lead to cervical incompetence meaning you may never carry another pregnancy past the 2nd trimester or result to cervical prolapse. That shii isn't funny..... at all.


My advice, just chill.
This is motherhood. Patience is what you will have to acquire to raise your kids.

Spoke to my doctor about inducing at 38weeks n he refused saying 10days past due date is the norm. Except for medical reasons.....

Please lets be patient.
Dont worry... it will be over soon n our kids will be in our arms..... and we would moss being pregnant.

Madam Zaynie, you won't understand the only person that my friend heed her advice is HER MOTHER, imagine her son is weighing 15kg @5months and they mum came to visit her for my koro koro eyes the mum was telling her daughter that the baby is loosing weight.

At this rate I don't think I'll miss being preggy o. I'll wait sha, the fear of complications from inducing has made me change my mind.

So grateful to God Mama that you survived this. I dont even want to begin to imagine the pain. How are our twins doing?

Revelation (The end)

I was started on antibiotics of diff types, dressing of the site morning and evening. I was still oozing pus although the antibiotics killed the smell, it wasn't until the third day before the pus stopped pouring and just started dripping out. I stayed on admission again for another 1 week, my babies were even discharged before me and were brought to me in d ward.

God helping us, d pus has dried up, although I'm still on antibiotics, but God saved my life. I still wonder why none of d docs ever suspected sepsis. My malaria result came out and showed negative, which means all that while, I didn't have malaria.

We are home now and doing well.
For mamas that will do CS, pls don't ignore any extra pain you feel, always keep the site dry and clean with spirit regularly, d docs didn't tell me this.

Thanks everyone for the messages, I'm sorry can't mention names individually couldn't read back. I appreciate you all.

@Godmother; I take God beg u. Exercise a little more patience. An induced baby is likely to ve respiratory issue if not up to 39 wks or else d baby feels its lung is matured enof and wants to come out on its own. Breathing problem after birth is not your wish for ur lo. For its sake tarry small. when the pain is much and u feel so heavy down your pelvics, just waka like "agadi nwanyi". God is ur strength.

Does your job entail you being on your feet for a long time? If your husband can help you massage your legs, let him do so. Try to elevate your legs with pillows when you sit down, drink lots of water and rest as often as possible. You should be fine. If it persists see your doctor pls.
I'm guessing you are just joining the thread and your EDD is December right? Welcome and happy bumping
