Today is one of those day's africaken254 just losses it, it's happened before, but never this bad!!

-Seeker 400 is Chinese!

-G6 is not 155mm caliber!

best just to leave him till he has recovered!

stop acting like a m@roon !in simple english for you to process ,a 52 caliber artillery has a better range than 39/45 caliber artillery due to increase length of the barrel

So what? Is kenya selling or making drones? No? Ok, feel free to STFU.

Also: Are you telling us the Soltam out-ranges a G5?

Looks like africaken254 hasn't recover yet:

-hallucinates that i brag about the Seeker 400......sorry to break it to you buddy but i don't think i've mentioned anything about the Seeker400 in months, and when i did mention it, it was about SAAF reactivating 10sqd!

-"52 caliber artillery has a better range than 39/45 caliber artillery due to increase length of the barrel" grin grin grin grin grin grin grin ........Caliber=Barrel Length wink wink grin grin

-G6/5s are not built in 155mm caliber anymore they are built in 52,45 and 39mm caliber thus simple mortars are larger in caliber!

pic1/2 as one can clearly see the 81mm caliber mortar has a longer barrel than the G5 due to the fact that 81mm is bigger than 45mm shocked shocked

are you trying to win an award as the dumbest person of the year

155mm is the NATO standard barrel bore size(calibre or caliber is the approximate internal diameter of the barrel)

39,45 and 52 calibre or caliber is the refers to the barrel length

Dude
155mm = caliber(diameter of the barrel as you said)

39,45,52 refers to the barrel length(as you said) BUT has nothing to do with the caliber!! 155/L52 for exp means the bore diameter/caliber =155mm and barrel length = 52X155mm.......conclusion: 155mm= caliber, 52L/45L/39L does not = caliber but barrel length, which i never disputed! why do you think the prefix L is used??

If you said: 155/L52 cal has a longer range than the 155/L45 cal due to barrel length then you would have been somewhat correct! Its only in Naval gunnery were bore to barrel length ratio is referred to as caliber....in army terms its simply the length of the barrel and NOT the caliber!!! Thus The G6 is and never will be 45 caliber or 52 caliber!! its 155mm caliber with barrel length being 52 or 45 X 155mm or 155mm/L52cal / 155mm/L45cal

When you asked MikeCZA what caliber our G6 is he rightly said 155mm yet you kept asking him over and over and over after he answered you three times!! not once did you ask him what the barrel length was!! then he would've said 155/L45 or just 155X45mm

It's an Air Force plane, also gaining from the experience of the shooting down of the Rwanda presidential jet which killed both the Presidents of Rwanda and DRC... eventually leading to the genocide.

I am 80% sure this plane comes customised with a MAWS system, flares and ECM. That sort of thing.

i have not being fortunate to find a photo of zambia Ratel IFV But recently its was reportered they acquired from paramount group 3 Marauders and 15 Mavericks

The Zambia Police Service has unveiled a new fleet of 18 armoured vehicles to be used for crowd control during protests.

Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja announced that Government has provided the resources in the quest to modernize the police service.

“We have acquired 3 Marauders for the Paramilitary Unit and 15 Mavericks for general policing. Officers will indeed undergo training in the use and maintenance of these vehicles.” he said.

Mr Kanganja said the armoured vehicles were fully equipped to quell any volatile situation.

In January 2015, Government announced that it had purchased three choppers for the Zambia Police Service to improve operations.

Moroccan VIP Jet Gets LAIRCM
Oct 16, 2007 15:45 UTC by Defense Industry Daily staff

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation of Rolling Meadows, IL received a firm-fixed price contract modification for $15 million, pursuant to a letter contract for foreign military sales case number MO-D-QAD for one Moroccan Head of State Aircraft Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) system. LAIRCM has become a popular way to protect large transport aircraft; it uses sensors to detect incoming infrared-guided missiles, then throws it off course using targeted laser pulses. The exact aircraft was not specified, but based on the Alkowat al malakiya al jawiya’s order of battle , our bet is on the transcontinental Falcon 50 business jet based at Rabat Sale.

Elbit Offers Missile Countermeasures
Oct 19, 2014

With the growing concern, demand for military type countermeasures is increasing, as business jet operator demand the best protection hitherto available only to VVIPs of the wealthiest of nations.

As one of the leaders in the area of missile countermeasures, Israel’s Elbit Systems has recently completed the certification of its MUSIC Directional Countermeasure System (DIRCM) on commercial aircraft, and has installed such countermeasures on the first VIP aircraft. More installations are in progress, awaiting final configuration certification says Dany Slasky, vice president Airborne, EO and Lasers at Elbit’s ElOp subsidiary.

“With threats becoming realistic, operators and owners and business people are concerned, demanding instant solutions. We are witnessing a growing awareness to the threat, and demand to protect aircraft,” he  notes.

How much protection do such DIRCMs provide? “MANPADS is by far the No.1 military threat to aircraft, representing 95% of all threats,” he says. “With DIRCM on board, the platform’s survivability improves dramatically.”

http://www.aviationtoday.com/av/military/Countering-MANPADS_75571.html
Elbit Systems, of Israel, has also developed a DIRCM system for the protection of civilian aircraft against MANPADS called the Multi-Spectral Infrared Countermeasure (MUSIC), a nacelle-mounted, fully automatic system that detects, acquires, tracks and counters an incoming missile. It has been installed on governmental or VIP aircraft thus providing protection against MANPADS, including the most recent ones, some of which were simulated during EMBOW XIII, always in combination with droppable IR flares for improved all-aspect protection.

I think they are the best because they(SBS) modernised warfare in Nigeria, and brought it to the new millennium. If you ask any person from any branch of the Nigerian military service who they enjoyed working with the most, most respondents would say Navy SBS.

When you ask a Navy SBS that same question, he only responds with Navy SBS. It says a lot about the unit. I could dig up the adulation German commandos said about Navy SBS, but that would derail the thread.
