backward is probably not only China.
How many country can make a" blackhawk" with all technology blocked by USA ? The Chinese version blackhawk is equipt with more powerfull engine than the original US one. The original version's Service ceiling: 19,000 ft (5,790 m),while the Chinese "clone" version is higher, the main rotor speaks.

At least China aleady catched up,in some fields even have overtaken .

yes, but it is still not obsloe for many country, isn't it ? comparing with mi-17.
.
And I don't think it will totoally retire soon, for transport or commercial use ect, as smaller helicopter still exist.V-22 or V280 entering service doesn't mean other helicopter must retire

in fact Russia is considering cooperating with China to build a heavy helicopter with 38tons taking off weight. That would be heavier than CH-47 and CH53E

d mil 26 is heavier than both d ch47 n ch53.and d heavier helo to b developed is a derivative of d mil 26

you may say that.

but China has it's own 5000kw engine for helicopter with 20 tons payload. even if Russia don't help, just a matter of time.

Turth mi-26 is 56 tons the heaviest helicopter ever exist, but it's payload is still 20 tons, due to old inefficient design and material used.

why Russia wanna" help" China, because they see the chance getting benefits during the cooperation.rather than sitting idle see a competitor coming but doing nothing

the only reason is financial . Russians need hard cash

the reason why the Russians sold SU35 given the risk of Chinese stealing the SU35 tech for their J20, mostly avionics related. same goes for S400 SAMs.

The T-50 is basically an SU-35 in stealth design and coating. I wonder how it would perform against the F-22.

no from where did u get the idea ,

SU 35 is basically an advanced version of SU30SM, mostly dealing with advanced avionics and computing and a good bit of sensor fusion thrown in in addition to the optimization & tweaking of the air frame and the FBW . in some words they are/have tested some of the to be incorporated T50 tech into the SU35 .

a proving ground/platform u might say for the T50 TECH and they decided to monetized it by getting it in production as SU35.
nothing to loose because they got a SUPER-SU30SM (SU35) and they also get to market it as a different class of aircraft grin

its basically a great game of deception the Russians r playing/played successful atleast for reaping good financial dividends .

dont always follow the usual narrative being played out. russians r great chess players , they plan many moves ahead grin

as for the T50 guy incharge of translating the russian technical doc into english had lot of interesting things to say. cool

In actual combat, that's "good-bye Vienna" for the SU-30mki.

What did you make off the IAF's bragging of defeating British Eurofighters in the last exercise?

sir a certain section of media has a way of twisting news and changing the narrative .

as far as i know IAF never issued such a statement or bragged or anything . this wrong perception came out because of misleading/wrong news reports from certain section of the media, plus quoting of anonymous sources etc etc.

For a population of 1.3 billion people DFI is usually mostly deserted. It seems most Indians don't care too much about defence. I find it to be quite boring most times.

Yes Sir, we are getting the JF-17, so yes i do. I mostly read up on the JF-17 from there. I also find the Russian, Turkish and Israeli forums/threads to be quite a draw.

So, JF-17, Russia, Turkey and Israel.
