barackodam: 4G is the short name for fourth-generation wireless, the stage of broadband mobile communications that will supersede the third generation (3G ). Note that although LTE is marketed as 4G by most networks, it is not actually a 4G technology as it does not fully meet the specification for 4G mobile technology. Long Term Evolution, LTE, is an evolution of UMTS (3G) and offers downlink peak rates of at least 100 Mbps, an uplink of at least 50 Mbps. This is true. As other Tel cos have announced. I noticed 4G started to pop up and I guessed it seems they're testing it. I can't wait for the full rollout, just hope the plan would be affordable unlike NTEL and MTN - GLO is just not making sense upon all DATA and 4G Rollout. |
