Just got information from one of my uncle, among the senate of umudike university. Nysc has directed them to slash the numbers of student going for service this batch B.. Umudike has been reduced to only 500 people, absu 1350, and also a friend in the student affairs in unn said they will cut down to 850.. He said random selection will be made by the school now, meaning the schools will secretly select there choice from each departments.. They where instructed not to post names of those selected on the board to avoid problems, rather student will go to nysc online portal to check if there names are there or not. If is there, that means they will be able to do online registration, if not there they will have to wait again till next year.. The names will start coming online from Tuesday this upcoming week.. I was also told secretly, student only have this upcoming week to protest because names will be entering nysc portal this up coming week, so if anything should be done it have to be this upcoming week... Again this act might now welcome corruption in schools, those uploading names might field in those they know and those who have only bribed them.. May God help us all

if that is the case, unn has slashed their list, cuz we are 850 or there about already mobilized for the next batch.

u cannot be very sure. first Unn has released one list before and is the second one, one things that cut my attention is that if u look at the background of the list very well u we will see that the list is from Nysc not the School that released this one.
To my understanding this should be the slashed one or there is nothing like slashing. Guys a penny for ur thought

All other schools list, slashed nd unslashed has that NYSC logo underneath

ma dear d best way is peace protest and we just stop hoping for some luck.. we dont even know if or when nysc will hold, cus rite now nysc is no longer credible ad they might decide to hold batch A august next year. best tin z for diz slashing of a tin not to go through. this is a deliberate act and its wickedness. they are taking us for granted. people should start calling radio/tv stations cus many Nigerians dont know whats going on. they only trynna cover up diz tin by not making public, they just sent it to diff skul DSA office.

it is well.. d last protest we had about dis nysc shii.. y0rme and few pple planned it in their various zones..
personally, I wouldn't mind a protest this time around . but we need to find a good way of going about it.

Don't mind dem. Their own four years degree program was 4yrs cos thr was no strike.. They shud come and ask we Ladokites.. Since 2009 pd days faa!!! We will strike before semester break, stroke before exam, strike before they release time table, strike before u resume, strike before they gv u admission, strike before u receive lecture. Wetin we neva strike 4 in LAUTECH. Na God go save us ooo. I just love dat school, it made me to b a better lady

I knew there will be one hitch at a time but never expect the slashing of a thing.
The timetable proved it all,even before releasing the actual date for orientation,I knew things can't be normal,November/December can't accommodate 2streams,so this people knew beforehand that they will slashed PCMs,it only took us unaware but it's a deliberate action and pure wickedness.

I am battling with my thoughts choosing between Now Your Struggles Continues and working to earn living, which is a stone throw towards actualization. And Govt aint helping matters. Which country is nearest to Nigeria pls?

No one will be able to do that until was on 12 Oct when they av entertained correction from various school

Please if we really want to organise a protest, it should be done quickly n perfectly organised because come monday or tuesday when skuls start uploading names, nobody will show face but me I am down for whatever cause this act of slashing is not fair to any individual whether 2016,2015,2014,2013 set.so wish I was in abj,but no p am in lag....so aluta is ready
