Please how long does the catheter stays before it falls off,it's been inserted since 1:20pm?

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I have really bad burning sensation at the top of my belly - a little below the bra line. I thought it could be the bra irritating skin but this is not at bra line and I have already tried different bras/sizes/fabrics/ and even going braless I have tried extra moisturizing with various brands, massaging and also heat/cold packs. It feels like I have a blister. Skin looks perfectly fine... It is killing me. Anyone else had this? Any help?? Thank you!!

When i had my first,mine fell 1hr after inserting it although the nurses were suprise that it was fast.

MY BIRTH STORY

I'm not sure i can tell stories but I will try At my 39th week doctor's appointment, I broke down in tears at my doctor's office because I wanted induction like I did for my son but he refused! He kept explaining his reasons and said if by my 40th week appointment I didn't fall into labour naturally, then I will be induced but encouraged that I take long walks. I could not do the long walks cos weather was not favorable. So on Monday the 3rd of October, I got dressed and decided to go stay at the mall till night. I walked round the mall from 1pm till 7pm ! When I got home, I was exhausted and had a very hot shower.

At about 2-3am, I started feeling menstrual like cramps. I woke up to observe it, asked my friends what it could be because I didn't experience labour pains with my son so I didn't know what to expect. My friends advised that I take my bath, prepare my son and time the contraction. I did and started timing. It was 10-11 minutes apart. I woke my MIL up, told her to get dressed and called a taxi.

I got to the hospital at about 8am, I was checked in and waited for my doctor. She came with her team, checked me and said I was 1-2cm dilated and she won't admit me yet. At this point, I was heart broken! i said to myself that baby must come today. I changed into the hospital robe and was told to walk for 2hrs then come back. i managed to walk across the corridor and when I was done, serious hunger started, so they gave me sandwich, juice and crackers while I waited for her to come. She did VE and said I was 2cm that she would advise I go home. I said Noooo! She should induce me; she started her own epistle again and later sat at the head of my bed and was asking why I really wanted induction. I told her I didn't have any reason but I feel I'm prepared to have the baby. So she agreed and said she will insert cytotec first to help ripen the cervix and come back in 2hours to check. This was done at 11am. I requested for epidural immediately and the anesthesiologist was informed. She came in about 1 hour after, did the procedure and pain was gone. By then I was 3cm and the contractions where now 6-8mins apart . Doc came back by 3pm; checked again and said I was 5cm dilated so I'm making progress on my own therefore she didn't augment with pitocin again. I was sleeping when a sharp pain on my right hand side woke me up! I knew they were contractions and was happening fast! Mehn! I couldn't bear, had to quickly call the anaethesiologist again that I'm not supposed to fill pain but this is the situation. She immediately gave me a relief dose and found out that the main dose was finished so they replaced it and slept back.

At 5pm, doctor came back to check and once I opened my legs, she screamed "Look at the baby's head" Everyone had to quickly dress up, take down the bottom part of the bed and then she said in one push, your baby will be out! It was just like a dream cos I was chatting with my husband on whatsapp while labouring! I gave a push, baby's head popped out; they suctioned and brought her out. It was so quick that I didn't even have time to take pictures! Wao!!! My baby was out just like that ! They placed her on my body, delayed cord clamping later did and asked for another push and placenta was delivered. Tears of joy were just rolling down my eyes! She was then taken away by her paediatrician. She weighed 3.5kg and I had her at 40wks + 1day. I had a small tear in my previous episiotomy spot which they quickly stitched up. My doctor did an excellent job there! No single pain from episiotomy unlike when I had my son! Bowel movements are excellent. I don't even feel as though I had one.

This time around, I was lot stronger than when I had my son. No post partum pains, tommy is going inside even without doing all those traditional remedies. Infact yesterday, I even went shopping for food items.

I'm most grateful to God because I hear of speedy delivery; me too I have experienced it.

To my teamies on the way, see the brighter picture ahead! We shall all come back rejoicing with our babies in our arms in Jesus name. Amen. No Loss will be recorded in this team !!!!
