i know by next week so many people here will not be talking about protest again cos by then some people might have seen their names on NYSC portal. [No be Nija Youths Again] i sabi them wella.

so many people will b disappointed o cus nysc isnt slashing 20% of d total names, its almost 70% or more in many schools. which means almost a 3rd of pcms in each skul will b mobilized. ours is from 5k to about 1.7k so what happens to d 3.3k dat wont be mobilized.. its really terrible

I'm only saying I won't use PDP as a tool for such protests..

ANOTHER CHALLENGE.
The attention of the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students have been drawn to the recent directive from the NYSC to slash the number of graduants from every tertiary institutions to be mobilised for the scheme by over 70%.This they claim is as a result of lack of resources.This development has caused a lot of confusion in our students community across the nation.
The implication therefore is that after graduation one might have to stay at home for at least five years considering the accumulated backlogs before been mobilised for NYSC.further more,it will also result to a situation whereby participation will be as a result of WHO NO MAN and how highly placed your father is in the society.
NOTE...
The budget for this financial year/the NYSC has long been passed and was extended to may 2017.After which,there was short fall of about fifty thousand graduants that was not captured.This the service applied for funding to the president and was approved and funded through a presidential special intervention fund.
OUR STAND.
The National Association of Nigerian Students led by my able self comrade Kadiri Aruna want to use this medium to state categorically that this is unacceptable and will be resisted by every peaceful legal means.
Let me also use this medium to ask the management of all tertiary institutions to pend mobilisation to NYSC pending when this issue is resolved.
The director general as a matter of urgency should retract that directive for it is against the growth and development of our teeming students and the Nigerian citizens.

the worst of all is the cold treatment nysc is dishing out to us ,,,I still say a reasonable broadcast by the DG.NYSC wud hv gone a long way in cooling our nerves and ease sm tension ,,that the DG spoke to anyone on fone is meaningless

He waved at me gently, with a beautiful smile as he left; I was amazed, mouth wide open; Such confidence; Such beautiful faith; As I got back home that night, his question kept coming back to me: "Why should I be discouraged when the referee has not blown the final whistle?" Life is like a game. Why should you be discouraged when The Almighty God is your manager? Why should you be discouraged, whist there's still life? Why should you be discouraged when your final whistle has not sounded? The truth is that many people blow the final whistle themselves; But as long as there is life, nothing is impossible and it is never too late for you. Half time is not full time and HIS calendar for your life is not man's calendar. Don't blow the whistle yourself. BE ENCOURAGED! DON'T GIVE UP. With God all things are still possible.
