SharkTank:Ehehn o, the worst that will happen is a bit of marginalization and that itself sounds worse than it is, if you know what happens whenever the elections are close you will know everybody has hand in the cake, this Nigeria belongs to all of us. Some are just ahead of the other . our super minister is still a Yoruba man, vp is still a Yoruba man, finance minister a Yoruba woman. All of them except proly osibanjo(NOT SURE) are not tinubus men. And even they know at the end of the day, dem be Yoruba. What we the Yoruba want is a unified stand which asiwaju gives us. We haven't lost anything o I'm not trying to sound arrogant. But what we don't want is for the north to break our rallying point which is tinubu. Cos they know we can launch any agenda of ours from there . we know this too, that is why we are rallying round tinubu 2 Likes |

ivandragon: First off, even if you have a higher IQ than I (which I doubt vehemently), you are piss poor morally, I didn't insult you but you settled for emotional outbursts like a menstrating teenager. Okay Oga history professor, the landscape of things have changed since the last elections, they are 2 new variables 1....For the first time in Nigeria's history, the south south produced a president and you Yoruba betrayed them and sold out to the Hausa. There is no better reason for 2 people to be sworn enemies except for power. You guys have an enemy for life in the South south or at least till you pau what you owe 2.....For the first time in Nigeria's history since the civil war, the old eastern region (the present day south south and south east) have the same political goal and enemy. They already have cultural similarities but the political tie bonds. There is new-ish and emerging power bloc 4 Likes |

jollymizzle:Your reason for not supporting GEJ was not because he did nothing for the West but because of Tinubu. You people play Tribal politics. Tell me did you vote Buhari because he has something to offer? Absolutely not. The truth is that GEJ did nothing for southeast but was more preferred to Buhari. Listen igbos never liked Buhari so a different candidate would have divided the Votes in the southeast. 3 Likes |

AmuDimkpa: There is no fight between the North and Tinubu beyond the one in your head. As the East lacks a central political figure, Tinubu will have to take that place in order for the region to regain political relevance in 2019 and that possibility is getting stronger with the permutations of a southern political bloc...except of course a heavy realignment occurs and the East takes Osibanjo's position in readiness for a 2023 eastern presidency. |

Yeah! We re all divided with ethni and tribal sentiments and even more but if u ve been a witness of unfolded events few decades back or you conversant with history . You will know they form a formidale block wheen its comes to poloitics. Have u ever thought of this ? In d South we have SW,SE and SS with differnt agendas and pursue but in the north they ve ne ,nw and nc . From 3 major ethnic groups, the South was divided by carving out SS and the South always approach politics from 3 differmt fronts . The north carved part of SW to join the NC and part of SE to join NC and they approach politics as one formidable front. The plot has been mapped out for years and it won't be redrawn easly. What do u think ,if d West can rtake what carved away from them and so also the east retake the easterners in NC ? Don't u that will add numbers of elctorate in the West and d East nd that will spring up a good challenge to the Northern dominance m |

mabea:we spent sweat and blood to support Jina the first time. And like you said the gej you loved so much did nothing for southeast too. The truth is we were unfortunate to have that bad luck of a man to represent southern interest. I voted buhari because I belive he wasn't corrupt and that corruption was going good to destroy this nation. Look around, some have enough stolen money to guarantee 100 generation of theirs affluent life. While some can't eat. If you have a conscience you would understand 2 Likes |

patriotic9jaboy: Buhari is not GEJ and tinubu is no lion neither is he a jagaban or whatever! He is being cut to size politically for all to see and as much as i would like to celebrate i won't because it doesn't potend well for all machineries of political power to be based north of the Niger and Benue! And even if i hate APC and tinubu, his was a genuinely southern power block in the APC even if he led the rest of the southwest to align politically with the north as against the rest of the south with whom they had more common interests You see, as reno omokri said, an alliance built on a common enemy as against a common interest only lasts as long as that enemy!! GEJ is gone, and now those with common interests are realigning and obviously the AC, CPC & nPDP don't have common interests and for now, the AC is being brutally subjugated! Now that's political karma As a south southerner i looked on with revulsion as young yoruba's insulted and maligned long established socio-political bodies of the south west like afenifere and the YCE on basis of their alignment with GEJ on the platform of common interests and now that the chicken has come home to roost, tinubu has to fall back on these bodies to prop him up. The result will be a more united southwest but a more diminished tinubu (no doubt he will be the mascot and poster boy for the southwest in public but in private, decisions will be made in concesus by all the power brokers) and that is a good thing My only hope and prayer is that after unifying the southwest, you'll mend fences with the southeast and southsouth politically and present a united southern front! Because that's the only way to survive the buhari pro hausa/fulani dictatorship cum neo feudalism 3 Likes 1 Share |

patriotic9jaboy: we will never align with the west politically. The Yorubas destroyed southern allegiance in 2015. We will rather align with the North than the Yorubas. We will now remember all the insults we received from the Afonjas. Buhari should think of choosing any body from SE or SS as VP and should start massive development of the regions. That way he will endeared himself to the people . 4 Likes 1 Share |

fulanimafia: How will he do that. Do you think South East is a Region easily influenced. As you can see South East can read the movement of Tinubu and his Apc political foes. Tinubu knows Apc is dead come 2019. And he is preparing to be influential with the production of another political party. Every Nigerian knows the conning nature of South West Region. There was never a fight between Buhari and tinubu. Everything was all planned from the beginning. A. Fayose was planted politically to make it look as if there was someone from that region that is man enough to speak to Mr. President. Tinubu wants the south west region to monopolies this country. |

sarrki: Don't be stupid You as the southwest have more interests in common with the so-called children of hate and anger! And after mending fences politically in the southwest you'll need to mend fences with the rest of the south especially with the so called "region of hate and anger" because that's the only way we will survive politically! Tinubu's political survival is irrelevant and secondary to the southwest and entire south's political survival so for once use the brain i believe you have and look at the big picture and stop being stupid! 2 Likes |

shigothang:don't get it twisted, there were no 6 geo-political zones until the Obasanjo era, rather we had regions(western region, eastern region, northern region and middle-belt region) obasanjo wanted to break down the northern region and the region so we brought in the zones. When he was the president, Atiku and Mantu were the vice-president and deputy Senate president respectively. He said Mantu was from the north and the core-northerns(north east& west) disagreed. That was when the north-central new where they belong. For the South to take back power, it needs more than that. Our electoral system needs to be over-hauled. You don't expect me cos I registered for election in Kano state, during the elections if am in Anambra I can't vote. It shouldn't be that. It should be since you registered, you should anywhere. This single reason will always give the north an edge until it's changed. |

Re: Tinubu Makes Peace With Former Political Foes by ivandragon: 10:46am On Oct 09, 2016 |
SharkTank: read your initial post again & you should understand why I reacted the way I did. you do not call me treacherous & expect a pat on the back. I only showed you that if you want to get into insults, there are repercussions for that. now to your submissions; 1. agreed. but the same SW voted enmass for a SS president in 2011. why do we now begrudge them their choice in 2015? in the SW, the race was a lot tighter than it appears which shows that quite a number of people there actually saw positives in GEJ or knew that PMB was not the better option. those that will pay in the SW will be the leaders. 2. again, I agree with your submission here. but the North will only use the SS/SE against the SW which means the SS/SE will always be second fiddle & simply replace the SW as slaves. I humbly feel that the new alliance should be one which will force a restructuring of Nigeria, economically, administratively & geographically, not just a political restructuring. finally, if the support of the SW was needed to checkmate the dominance of the North & force a wholistic restructuring, I do not think that primary goal has changed. so it will be counter productive to sabotage a long term objective for vindictive purposes. an alliance with the North just to get back at the SW will be a pyrrhic for the SS & SE. 4 Likes |

The good people of south will choose a good governance anyday anytime above sentiment. You igbos should go away with your hate. Were you people not happy when Gej turns against Obj. As long Tinubu continues his greed he will be tamed cos there are a lot of guys who can rock his boat in south west. Yoruba's are very sensible.
