CHAIIIIII.... I DON'T KNOW WETIN HIT SIR JOSEPH TODAY... I know he sees these things but he hasn't expressed it this way.... Kaiiiii..

My Boss... You are in "The Zone" smiley

This is what I have been talking about and was so angry when we beat Swaziland 2-0 and people were celebrating as if we were not expected to win that game.

LOOK... THERE ARE STILL MINNOWS IN AFRICAN FOOTBALL...

The focus should be on ourselves and ensure we play to our full potentials always.

NO VICTOR MOSES, NO ISAAC SUCCESS, NO LEON BALOGUN, NO NATURAL RIGHT BACK (MUSA MOHAMMED), NO ODION IGHALO... AND THREE POINTS IS STILL OURS IN "CONVINCING FASHION".... ABEG!!!! I smell the fear factor coming back and coming back fast indeed... Let's just keep the focus... smiley

joseph1013:
You see, the reason we go away and play Tanzania 0-0 and Oliseh comes to tell us it's because there are no small teams in Africa is because we are used to mediocrity. This team is proof that we can go away and beat any team.

To look at this team and realize we are not even playing my best eleven is to realize my point. No Victor Moses, No Success, No Balogun, a makeshift RB, and we still defeated a top African team away.

This is the dream!

Ndidi started brilliantly. I was over the moon with his performance but then.. ...

He got tired and the Zambians took advantage of it. I lost count how many times he was skinned but I can hail his effort to fight back. He fought to help the team.

When it comes to his positioning, he was good. He was in position most times and help the defence clear the ball.

He made some passes to the midfield and forward players that help build up play and won some aerial battles. Drop to Central defence when we were under pressure.

The coach might have something with Ndidi at right back but the qualifiers is too risky to play him there if he will cause the team problems.
if u ask me to choose between MUSA MUHAMMED n NDIDI 4 now against Algeria, I would choose NDIDI,but,OMERUO seems like the the better option, not taking anything away from MUSA,but he is still need time in the SE.

Iheanacho (Ian Nacho)

What an impressive first half. He also started slow but definitely was getting used to the pitch. When he found his bearings, he was amazing. Some quick footworks gave us some great chances. His combination with Mikel was amazing. He dropped deep to make the midfield unbearable for the Zambians.

What a brilliant goal. I walked out off the bar with a huge smile on my face. Maybe City will not miss Nasri after all.

Iheanacho lost energy towards the end of the game but we can not blame him because of the hardwork he did under the hot sun. The pitch helped in making him tired. Iheanacho showed fight towards the end to play through the tiredness.

What a goal.

lemme just take this opportunity to apologize for what I said to you a few days ago (you might have forgotten, but I haven't, and I've really been feeling bad about it). I handled it really poorly and I was a genuine assshole. Accept my apologies.
thanks for the apology, but yep, I don't remember

I get a lot of smack on here, so I never quite remember any of it 24hrs later

As for Musa Mohammed and Ndidi. I do not know but the dribbling Ndidi received does not have part 2. I am not sure Musa Mohammed would fare better.

Exactly.... The "big experience" players. Abeg... Experience get him place ooo... Make una go get me wrong... Na very precious place him get for matches like this.

Experience and Precocious wonder talents won us this game. wink

That is why Rohr prefered "The big experience players for a game of this magnitude".

Looollll... A lot of top performers today on the Nigerian side.

Your list is similar to mine and yeah... Onazi for Nacho is also not bad. But I will keep Nacho... **tongue out** ntooorrr... Loolll grin

1. Ekong

Simon "Daddy" Moses.

Just like Echiejile, the pitch did not do him Justice. I laughed at his atrocious crosses and passes. He found it difficult coping with the ball. He needed to keep it simple and pass the ball. The pitch was too bad to run with the ball and cross.

The coach needs to let Simon and Echiejile, they need to have room before attempting to cross in such conditions. Trap the ball to kill the motion and cross it. They did not need too much running.

His work rate was a big plus. He helped the defence a lot. It was clear why Rohr picked him over Musa. He also switched wings some times. His fight to get the ball back and his shot over the bar was commendable. But, Mikel was in a better position. He should look up before shooting.

Victor Ikpeba annoyed me the most. Down playing the performance of our boys untill we scored 2 goals.

that one is now part of them. Earning a living from commentary. We need fresh blood for commentaries. Nlders are better than him

Iwobi, pure guts.

Played on the bad pitch with confidence. Like Mikel and Iheanacho, he started slowly but grew into the game. What a brilliant half. He made some good passes but the bad pitch limited his visionary play.

He showed good positioning all through the game but he needs to help track back on the left. Echiejile goes off position sometimes and Iwobi tracking back can help.

Like Iheanacho, he got exhausted in the second half. Mikel and Onazi put in a lot of shifts to help the young players cope.

Nice positioning for the goal, gave the team the much needed confidence and boost under the hot sun. Powerful throw from Ndidi.

Exactly, we would bank on Omeruo at RB in our next game. They should focus on training Ndidi as a DMF while Musa Mohammed should settle his club issues.

Ideye.

What a miss. I chuckled when he missed the chance. Saved by the offside call.

No denying, he worked very hard for the team. Kept the Zambian defenders under pressure. His presence upfront gave room for Iwobi, Iheanacho and Mikel to exploit. Simon should learn how to drift in to make combinational plays with the midfield.

Ideye drifted to the wings during the game to stretched the defence. The Zambian defenders marked him tight but that created chances for the forwards.

Good work rate, missed that strong powerful presence up front but he should learn to convert his chances.

Note: I only restrict my rankings to the four you listed. grin

Yea,EKONG at the top but i don't think IHEANACHO is ahead of IWOBI,IWOBI is more deadlier goin forward.

We need to see the coach's plans for Musa Mohammed. Rohr has contacts in Germany and France. I believe he will help him secure a club to allow him grow. Just like Westerhof used to do.

If we can put in some strong performances and qualify early, the coach can give Musa Mohammed a run.

One thing, I hope the coach keeps calling Musa Mohammed and make him keep training with the team and experienced defenders.

Most chances created today by Nigeria came via and even through Iheanacho..... And he capped it off with a goal.... He was involved in most of our dangerously beautiful moments going forward...

Anyway, Most of them were excellent today...

So I stand by my list... *tongue out* ntooorrrr.... wink

Anderson Esiti. What a player.

Very promising for the few minutes on the pitch. Help shut the midfield threat. Played in an organized way with the senior men in midfield. Showed he was a good passer but...

The pitch messed some of Esiti's passes. We have a special player in him. Hope he develops well.

Why do we always complain about the bad pitch, then i ask,is our opponents immune to bad pitches but us,if the bad pitches affects us,it should also affect our opponents to our advantage sometimes, not the other way round.
n don't tell me our boys r professional, that's main reason why they should adapt to any situations.

Ahmed Musa. Senior Man.

He showed quality when he came in. Was more comfortable than most of our players with the ball. Won few fouls and helped defend. He brought the much needed freshness to the side but he was not long on the pitch to cost more damage.

Overall, he showed experience and quality.

I believe this qualifiers will be intense till the last game. Algeria and Cameroun are our strongest opposition in this group. Our last game is in Algiers, Jeez.

After the game in November, the next qualifiers game would be in August 2017. There would be so many International breaks between March and July next year. That is enough time for Musa Mohammed to put his club career together. We expect some good friendlies between March and July next year. Rohr can do some experiments from those friendlies.

I agree with you but if the coach adopts an offensive approach in one of the games, like the Tanzania game, we still need Musa Mohammed because he is good Offensively.

I think the coach acknowledges the strength of the opposition, that is why he opted for Ndidi today.

I feel without much club action, a player of Musa Mohammed's quality needs to work with the team to stay sharp. He looks the future for that role.

Did you read what you wrote? How is 0.54 greater than 0.64? What you gave shows that Yekini is a more prolific striker.

Also, please provide source of your stat. Where did you get 14 goals in 24 matches from?

People also forget that it's not just about goals. All goals are not created equal. Aguero's goal against QPR is more important than Kelechi's goal against Gladbach. Yekini scored very important goals. In AFCON 1994, his goals were so important that he was named the best player of the tournament. His goals qualified us for the best Nigeria's first ever World Cup.

Sorry about I twisted it. I was meant to say that Rashidi Yekini is a better scorer than Usiyen. Although Usiyen played less games compared to Yekini's.

We missed Leon Balogun, Victor Moses and Isaac Success.

I hope Victor and Isaac do not have trouble with the NFF after this game because that pitch was too risky to play there.

Although, Omeruo showed passion coping with the challenge of that pitch.

I hope the coach tries to sort the administrative mess created by Pinnick and Dalung. We have some special talents and need our support to excel.

This is a tough group and we do not need distractions.

Congratulations Nigeria for a fine start. Showed a lot of promise.

Still waiting for the much anticipated debut of Isaac Success.
