This is a very beautiful piece written by a facebook user Nura Alkali. Many seemed clouded in hate nd thus comdemn the action of SSS. Everyone is equal in the eyes of the law and am glad am witnessing that in my country in my lifetime. Sai Baba Cc: lalasticlala

limeta:Tsamiya arrested in Gombe must be from your mushroom village in the southern Nigeria. Wailers will always hide under the ethnic pretense to wail. Continue to wail. 1 Like |

LIES. 1. The so called Jefferson was NOT a Judge but a Congressman (house of rep. member). 2. He was not raided on mere petition or "allegation". On the contrary, he was "caught on audio tape" requesting for a bribe (which by the way, he claimed he was going to give to the then Nigeria's VP Mr. Atiku). 3. He was also "video taped" collecting a briefcase of $100k USD (secretly provided by FBI) in wraps of $100 bills as bribe. 4. Jefferson's former aid also implicated him in yet another fraud scheme also involving an internet entity in Nigeria. 5. The strings of secret investigations that eventually led FBI to nailing Jefferson took more than a month to get perfected. 6. Just like what we have here now, the raid on Jefferson's premises (though he was not a supreme court judge) was fiercely contested. Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia entry on the matter: Edit It actually took the intervention of a court to sustain the raid: On July 10, 2006, Chief Judge Thomas F. Hogan for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, ruled that the FBI raid on Jefferson's office was legal,[22] rejecting the claim of both Jefferson and the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group of the United States House of Representatives that the search violated the Constitution's Speech or Debate Clause, separation of powers principle, and the Fourth Amendment... But please let's be clear that the accused person was not a Judge who I believe, by Nigerian law, can only be arrested or prosecuted following the recommendations of NJC. So I think it's high time the APC and their praise singers stopped misinforming the public. Geesarki: |
