I'm loving my choosen career!!

Criminology and Security studies is a course full of insight with assured career development.

Thus far I think I want to be a practicing Intelligence Analyst. That is the aspect of Intelligence collection, processing and evaluation where Nigeria lack credible and competent professionals which has shown in ways Intelligence decision are made with gross error leading to lack of public trust among Nigeria Security Circle.

I look forward to have more discussions with fellow Criminologist.

If only my mother juz listened to me... Maybe by now, I'm in the crime lab doing my stuff...

You can enroll for the second degree if you wish to.
You'll learn a whole lot about Crime, Law, Security, Formulate theories, undergo Intelligence training at el.

As a student, you are respected within security circle!

I like this and I actually studied English. Can I go for my second degree in this How many years will it take me and just tell me what I need to know. I don't wanna deal with looking for job upandan after service

If I tell you many CEO of companies had reached out to me on my LinkedIn Account you won't belief whereas I'm still an undergraduate! I just dey post them cos most of the job is far from my Institution of Learning.
The course is a 4yrs course with a year Field Observation, that's 5yrs. If you had study social science you would have been better position to go for it as Msc.

Criminology, I don't think I can do it as my second degree.

Very difficult to find a career with this discipline.
Except you work in the force or start a security company but of course it's Nigeria... You can actually get into any job.

Is it possible i can study it if i chose to go for my MSC?, am a student of political science.

I had an uncle who studied this course in the UK, he is late now. I'm surprised to hear that it's been offered here in Nigeria. I would like to know the universities that offer this course.

It's a very nice course, and I believe it's needed in the labour market more like a consultant than the normal 9 to 5 job, I am a graduate of the course, will go for msc too or peace and conflict resolution. Thats why I respect danbazzau, he is grounded in that field, the course is so vast and I believe four years isn't enough for it.

I study criminology in the university and am very proud to be one. I remember I applied for accounting but eventually I was given criminology. At first I was so depressed and feeling reluctant to do the course, thank God for my friend who gave me a little orientation and courage to go for it. Society is the womb for crime, as much as the society keep existing, crime cannot be avoided of which makes the course so relevant. To say the fact,its a nice course to study. luckily for me ,my set is the pioneer of criminology in university of ilorin . 300l

Nah am not blind i just read in betwin they lines. Thereare just course you cant sturdy in Nigeria

My school does not have this course as their main course, but as a part time programm course, and its our lecturer who do take those part time students because some of them studied the course. I am studying sociology, and criminology is a sub-branch of my course. I think the coures is a very nice course.

Might study the course but military intelligence is my way.

National Open University offers it. I have a friend who is a graduate of the course. It's a very nice course.
