Lol,you can't open your blocked account immediately you land..it will still take 1-2weeks sef to get your details ..even if you have your house contract before arrival..you need a house contract to open it albeit someone I knew walked into dB and said he wanted to withdraw money with his passport alone and account number..after withdrawing 300€..it was then blocked for real
sd39:
Important question for those who have left, are there DB branches in or around the airports for one to quickly open their blocked accounts as they land?

Lol, na true oh..accommodation here is crazy especially if you are heading to a big city..even the Germans that have been here since the beginning of life find it hard getting accommodation and always on WG gesucht in class searching for places lol..biko come with euros oh..no matter what..na u dey spend am..forget about your dB account for a week or two..but if you can trek round and stay hungry till it is unblocked, then don't buy any euros smiley..
But you just can't escape it even if you have someone to stay with..if not for euros wey I carry go..na under bridge tins because nobody send you for here....
dennisMOD:

LMFAO... @sleeping under bridge. Train station sef dey.

Please who can direct me to nipost/ems office around Ikeja? FedEx saying 12k and dhl saying 34k lol.

I'm not in a rush to get it delivered but as far it's safely delivered that's point.

I've been seeing several people who paid less than 2k and got it delivered.. Please help a brother out. Thanks

Pls if an A.M mail says ur departure date should be scheduled for at least 7days from a date, does it mean it should be scheduled for days after the 7th day? I want to be planning ahead for my mail

After you send the blocked account confirmation, how long does it take to head from the embassy??

I arrived in Munich two days ago and it has been a wonderful experience right from departure in Nigeria till date.

- No embarrassment of any kind so far

- Was the only black on-board while connecting Munich from Abu Dhabi. Most Africans I have seen (though few) smile when you meet and some natives have been so friendly.

- Cost of accommodation here is expensive (heard there are very few&cheap student dorms within the city but hardly available) and difficult to get but God dey.

-Transportation system is superb. My best so far is U-bahn.

- Time runs fast in Germany (my personal observation).

... and many more

In all, thanks to every member of this thread. I pray all prospective students will enjoy immense favour.

P.S: This is not my last post here. As much as I can, I will try to help others here. Danke schoen!

It simply means your departure date shouldn't fall within 7 days after you've submitted your passport and health insurance. This is because it's within that period that Ur visa will be stamped and couriered back unto thee.

Calculate 7days or more from the day you wana submit it and indicate as ur date of traveling..I indicated exactly 7days and got mine delivered the next day but with the date I indicated stamped on the passport. So I guess you can only travel on or after that date.

Genau, just as posters above me have explained. Nonetheless, if you have enrollment deadline to beat, you can emphasize that in a short letter.

You can upload your documents prior to certification. But you'll need to certify the copies of the documents you're sending to Germany.

Thanks a lot boss for this. Am grateful

To God be the Glory, great things he has done... Thanks for all contributions on this forum, God bless una,it was really helpful... God bless Nigeria.

Interview Date :6/09/2016.
Fund Mail: 06/09/2016.
Fund Date: 27/09/2016
AM mail: 29/10/2016
Passport and INSURANCE submitted: 30/09/2016
Visa collection: 11/10/2016

There is a lot stories between those days o, from me thinking I had to Fund first before booking Visa Appointment because the embassy misinformed me, to getting a way out via the thread After a friend told me it's not necessary and Visa booking had closed.

NOW THE COURIER ISH...
As at yesterday morning(11/10/2016) my courier service(DHL) were saying they had not received any parcel from the embassy, in fact d online tracking says d same thing.
DHL even called me to tell me this in the morning around 11:00AM. Thank God I had mailed the embassy earlier the same morning to ask what was delaying my parcel since 30/09/2016, that I submitted my Passport and insurance.

Until the embassy mailed me telling me, they have given my courier since Friday(07/10/2016)....see has fear rush enter my body, since Friday!... I called the customer line, same we have not received it,contact the embassy story.... I had to go to their head office in Oshodi area and they said the same thing, that their track shows they have not received it. So they called their branch in VI to go check, and would give me feed back before yesterday ran out... See as more fear and anger escalate for my body. Shuuuu! , a fellow friend that submitted on 30/09/2016 that used FedEx got his parcel on Saturday(08/10/2016). Me weh pay moremore, #2500, I stay within Lagos o, and my parcel still dey get hold up.

While going home they called me that they just received it and it's at the branch office in VI, meaning they just went to the embassy to pick it.They were now asking if I wanted it brought to my house, which could be on Wednesday, that is in two days o...see question. I told them I wanted it today(that's yesterday) anywhere I would come for it, even if nah untop water. So I went to Victoria Island, the office that had it and waited for their agent that went to collect parcels.i got their the customer service told me they don't have it there too.... Before he made several calls and told me to wait, it was Until 5:36pm, before I got my Visa.

That's how I missed this week's Introduction class in school due to DHL error.

Hello friends, I am interested in going for my masters in Germany. Got information of this program and need your professional opinions.
They call it a pre-masters course buts its a 6months German language course in Ibadan (Inseberg-Coast International Technoscience Institute) , after the course and exam I obtain a B2 certificate which I use for processing my student visa... There is no evidence of cost of living money required for the visa. Then when I get to Germany I start another 6weeks course for a C1 certificate which is another level of the German language and is required for job. After acquiring the C1 certificate you can then process for admission in any tuition free university if choice over there...

Its not costing much but I'm yet to see evidence or get much information about the Program online...
