Mamme22: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=NG&lob=sp Check the above link. Paper application is 54,050 for both application fee and biometric fee but go with more cash, you may need to do some other stuff like making additional photocopy of ur doc etc. 1 Like |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by tysaxmalomo: 7:23pm On Oct 11, 2016 |
sleekysoft: No need for sample, just introduce yourself, talk about your research interest and how they incline with the research interests of the professor, and then send a thesis proposal for him/her to go through. That's it majorly. Take note though, they are very blunt people, and if your proposal isn't up to par, they'd state it without fear, I once had a potential supervisor (before I was told it was unnecessary) tellmevia email that my research proposal was boring and had nothing that would interest him PR the academic community nor would it add to the body of knowledge. Just make sure you're above standard and contact them. That's it. Good luck |

Dampop1: You must know that schs have standards, check the dept website of those schs and read their minimum requirements. As for Saskatchewan, even before you apply officially, there is this pre-application form which you would be asked to fill (for your own good) which will then be circulated to the faculty members (supervisors/professors) to approve. Then if luckily, you get approved you would be contacted to apply formally. NB: being asked to apply formally isn't a guarantee to admission. As for research intent, Google is ur best friend. Don't beef him But wait oooo, is it 3.06/4.0 or 3.06/5.0 ? If it is over 5.0, then i am afraid, the Almighty needs to be involved with your app. Nevertheless, trust in the only one God, the Most High and hope for the best. But have you considered other options incase ur cgpa doesn't meet their minimum requirements? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by tysaxmalomo: 8:25pm On Oct 11, 2016 |
Dampop1: Good evening, From my small knowledge o, 3.06 is low, but not impossible. For Manitoba which is a university thstis very competitive though, I'd advise not to waste money there. I know of three schools that may admit you with a 2:2 if your last two years were very good they are umanitoba, u Saskatchewan, and Uottawa, so why not switch Manitoba for Ottawa. Statement of intent is basically u telling the graduate school why you chose the school, what you hope to achieve, and how the course you applied for helps you achieve it, and also how your undergraduate years have prepared you for the stressful graduate course you want to take. Goodluck |
