My BBB came out by 1:56 pm weighing 3.5kg.Choiiiiiiiiii....whether it was the nurse or my baby that gave me this tear that almost reached my bombom, I no know... let me not even lament about episiotomy pain, I just thank God for everything.

I watched fine bumps today sotey my potatoes got burnt while frying, una welldone ooo belleful mamas, i pray very soon, my bump will join dis bumpy Tuesday too and some ppl will watch till their potatoes almost turn black while frying, lol.coming soon in Jesus name

You can store at room temperature for 6 hrs

In the fridge for up to 3 days (best place is at the back of the fridge on the middle shelf as temperatire flunctuations caused by the openning and closing of the doors will affect it less)

In the freezer for up to 3 months. ( preferably deep freezer)

To use if cold/ frozen You can warm up in warm water. Or simply leave to defrost at room temperature.

Once warmed up or defrosted.... DO NOT RE-FREEZE OR REFRIDGIRATE.

It is normal for the fat to seperate during freezing or refridgiration,

DO NOT SHAKE when mixing. Gently swirl to mix.
Shaking destroys some amino acid chains and degrades the quality of the milk.

Modification: the fridge and freezer timescales are based on constant electricity.if you dont have that you may want to use your bm soonner and keep an eye on it to avoid it going bad.

Just like our prof Alphahandmaiden has said, eat but try to eat healthy too. Make sure you have lots of fruits and veggies

I took TT injection yesterday (2nd dose was 10yrs ago, so I'm starting afresh), and now my arm is so heavy, to straighten it na wahala. is it normal or is it because I didn't massage it after d injection? I don't rem feeling this way with the others though it was a very long time ago.

It's normal. You should not massage the site after the injection. Mine lasts for about a week plus. So painful. My son summarised it by saying that it feels like they injected deep into his bone (a separate incident).

When it comes to drugs n prescription during pregnancy most people are super careful.
I was treated with chloroquine in my 1st trimester .

BIRTH STORY part 1

I started having painful contractions on my antenatal day, that was on the 19th of September. When it was my turn to see the Dr, I couldn't even hold myself again because of pains.So I was taken to the labour ward to be checked. I got checked and I was 2cm.I was kinda disappointed sha because I was expecting like 6 cm.I was asked to go home because I wasn't fully in labour.When I got home, I started doing serious exercise o because I told God I wanted to see my baby before Wednesday that week.I climbed stairs, did my squatting then took a hot bath so that my mucus plug with show.Luckily for me I saw small blood and mucus plug,i was so happy o.I couldn't wait for the next day.I no fit sleep o,i was just dreaming of carrying baby whenever I close my eyes small.The next day I got prepared, put my bags in the car,then I decided to wait small for the contractions to be stronger.I left the house around 11 am,got to the hospital then I got checked again still 2cm. I called my MIL and told her about the situation at hand, she suggested I got induced. I was so scared because of the pains I normally hear it causes. I summoned up courage and went back to the Dr and asked if I could get induced ,he said no but if I want he will admit me.I insisted and he started writting plenty drugs. I started talking to my LO that he should come out that I did not want to be induced.Since I wasn't with cash I decided to wait for our driver to go home and get enough cash ,while I was waiting the contractions got stronger o,so I was taken to the ward, I changed into the labour cloth. I got checked and was almost 4cm.i was so happy because I was going to see my LO in no time.So I decided to walk round the hospital, I entered one shop to buy snacks,na so I see garri and groundnut o.I begged the gal to get me a cup or plate that I needed to sip garri like mad,they all started laughing at me o.I no even send dem.When I finished I couldn't walk o,the contractions were so strong that I felt I was going to give birth right there. I finally managed to climb back to my ward.I got checked again was about 6cm.The Doctors were impressed that I was dilating well.I was still managing to chat and do video call with DH. I was later moved to the next ward around 7pm.I met another woman there. We were almost the same cm.Na there the drama start o.Eeeeeew see me lifting hospital bed and table because of pains o.One Hajia came to keep us company. She asked one young Dr to check me,the guy was like what if he checked and I was 2 cm in yoruba, I quickly rejected it, the started laughing that I understand yoruba. The Hajia started teaching me breathing techniques, my sisters e no work for me o.The only thing that helped me was sitting down but I was hiding to sit down o, when I see nurses coming I will quickly lay on my left. I joined my room mate to shower not knowing that was the beginning of my pains.To walk back to my bed was war.I finally managed to sit on my bed,i was so cold and started regretting why I took my bath but I guess twas the cold water that helped me progress faster.The Dr broke my water,mehn the water plenty o.My sisters labour is real o.I started looking for scissors to vet my braids.Me and my room mate turn prayer warriors o,when I pray she go dey echo amen vice versa and believe me I wasn't even conscious of what I was saying but I was just been prophetic .I told God I wanted to see my baby before 2am.My room mate was checked and was told she needed to be augmented eeeeeeew,i became scared because I was expecting same thing. I refused them checking me o because I was tired of plenty hand entering my jajaina. I nearly fought with one idiotic Dr.I wonder what people like that are doing in the female ward especially with pregnant women in labour. He's so rude and arrogant am sure if I mention his name here mamas that used my hospital will know him.I have never seen someone with that kinda of fat fingers and the way he will be shouting and insulting you to open leg as if it's his right abi he's looking for his licence inside your jajaina.I told him not to check me that I needed another person to check me, he got angry and started insulting me that if he doesn't check me he will send me out of the hospital what For your papa hospital I finally allowed him check me as I noticed other nurses signalling to me that I should calm down and do it for my baby.That was the second time he was checking me that day. The First time he literally pushed me out because according to him I wasn't cooperating and that he's a busy man that got no time for time wasters like me.I just look am look am smile because he no sabi who him dey tell trash, I for show am say no be only am chop expired igbo.But I was more concerned about my baby.
The pains no be here o,my room mate started shouting and begging for C/S me I was shouting and begging for epidural o.None of the Drs answer us sef,except the Hajia that was telling me that epidural is waste of money because it doesn't work. I started having the urge to poo,i became scared because I thought the garri I sipped Has started purging me.I manage to use the toilet only to discover that the way the poo was coming wasn't normal, I felt heavy poo trying to come out, I quickly jump up when I realised it could be the baby coming out.I went back to my bed but the poo came again this came I screamed out. I was just shouting that I want to poo o.The nurses came to my bed and checked me.They gave signal to the Hajia.They started running to arrange my bed in the other room.I was later moved there.My room mate started begging me not to go that I should stay with her.I met another lady there that have been disturbing the whole hospital with noise. Almost all the Drs on duty were with her guiding her to push with all the instruments. I felt the urge to push but wasn't strong enough.The Hajia really helped. She said I should push that she could see my baby's head Eeeewww that was all I needed to push but the contractions still wasn't strong.They tried fixing pitocin or so for me, the thing no gree enter my body o.All the nurses tried adjusting it still e no work. The lady beside me finally pushed out her baby. I started glorifying God because that woman really suffered with contractions not knowing twas a still birth she gave birth and that was my first time of seeing a dead newborn physically .The cord was too tight on the baby's neck.All this while I did not know the baby was dead even the lady did not know but her husband and her mum knew.The Drs refused telling her after doing scan the previous evening so that she could coperate and push out the baby.They started telling me to push so that I won't kill my baby Eeeewww fear grip me o.I started begging them to help me push my baby out for me.I later pushed out My baby at 2:20am and wasn't induced, imagine if I was induced how the pain would have been. I was just so relieved and happy. Almost immediately I heard my room mate push out her baby from the next room.I was so happy for her too but very sad that the lady beside me couldn't hold her baby after all the pains and pregnancy stress.I started consoling her and almost crying with her because the baby was so cute and twas a boy with plenty hairs.I later got stitched.

You can't use powder for nappy rash o, it will cake and cause more harm. Better to use sudocreme.
He doesn't need to rub powder to look fresh.

Unless na the powder una share rub face for people when you born. If not,sofry sofry o.
We still get powder from October last year o.
In fact Moyo powder from July2012, I just see am for where I keep am put since!

@tipsyjules, congratulation on the birth of your child. May he always make you happy. Your story is so touchy especially that part that a mother lost her child during childbirth. What could have caused that? I pray that all mother will not experience such kind of thing in Jesus name.

BTW, some Nigerians doctors and nurses lack manners. I think a new bill should be passed on revoking licensee if they don't do their job well. Horrible people as if they send them to go to Med school.
