Over 30 suspected cultists reportedly attacked a police patrol team at Eyamba Street, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River state at about 9:30p.m on Tuesday, October 11th. "The attack which reportedly claimed the lives of two policemen and one cultists also saw two police patrol vans belonging to Cross River state security outfit, Operation Skolombo burnt" freelance journalist Inyali Peter said.

Facebook user Ifere Paul's, who shared the photos wrote:

"There is a renewed war between various factions of cult groups. It is important to note that these activities are as a result of the coffin that was paraded round Calabar to welcome Governor Ben Ayade. The parade was sponsored by Ayade appointees. The spiritual implications of parading a coffin was explicitly talked about in my previous article titled "Ayade demonizes Cross River State".

I have always insisted that leadership makes the difference in any environment. Is this not the same cross river that Donald Duke transformed into the premier tourist destination in Nigeria? Ayade should seek the help he so badly needs.

I don't know what the youths see in an unproductive business like cultism. And still yet I don't understand the rationale behind why people join cultism. Could it for money, power or fame? Definitely it's not because all i see is graphic pictures. shocked shocked

Say no to cultism

Mehn

Those who went thru school and fews years after school, successfully engaging in school cultism without been a victim is something to thank God for.

Perception of life outside cultism is a different ball game.

So sad for the guys.
My sympathy
