metrecube: U dont need to secure any supervisor, they are the ones to give you supervisor is you are offered admission. again those skls you mentioned above requires contact of a supervisor, i have sent a litany of mails to faculty members requesting them to supervise me, even i told them not to pay me any stipend or scholarship, only few replied saying they do not need graduate students ,most did not reply. canadians are disrespectful towards we Nigerians, they will waste your time and still not offer you anything, spent more than 8 packaging this application and begging and pallying proffessors in my school to endorse my referee mail. for the fall which you suggested i will be mad to apply anything canada again am going for uk or germany i already have admissions already handy in those country. canada dream bye bye |

CapitalCee:which school in germany gave you admission and what program? I support your words of the Canadians being sluggish in virtually every aspect of things they do. everything about Canada is time wasting and requires patience with alternative plans too. 1 Like |

Do your change of name.. Registry wedding certificate is good to go as dey dnt even send Church wedding certificate. Do u have kids If not get the equivalent of 10,000 CAD in ur account.. Did u say your husband is working now?? meaning his on PGWP If he is on that you can also consider the option of a visiting visa than a work permit.. If he is working.. He doesnt need your Spousal Work Support.. but if he is still a student.. it will fly smoothly.. I am no guru oo.. others can shed more light.. But i know of a lady here.. who was rejected based on the fact her hubby is on PGWP.. But then again.. all applications are treated uniquely and differently. so make necessary enquires before applying.. GoodLuck!!! 3bby: 1 Like |

Hello Good people of Nairaland, Please advise me on how to get refund for the school fees I paid to University of Regina. I applied thrice for study permit between November last year and May this year and I was denied on those 3 occasions I was advised by an agent to make the payment in order to convince the VO of my genuine intention of coming to Canada to study. I have sent several mails and reminders to the school without success. The only response I got from the international admission about 3 months ago was that the finance department would get back to me. Please, what do I do to get my money back? |

I think this great, but please ensure to keep it as concise as possible especially when it's your first mail to them, those guys don't have so much time, kip in mind that hundreds of other graduate students are probably sending them similar mails, so you gotta stand out!. Riddeek: |

Did u apply for undergraduate or post graduate? And about your Delay I am sorry that's how Cic works. I am sure your status havnt changed that's why you still got refused. You need to look into the reasons why u got delayed is not about school fees but packaging the right documents. Let me have your Regina student I. D and I will help you talk with Callie or Jessie am sure ur payment will be released back to you. Enjoy Kenyata: 1 Like 1 Share |

Kenyata:issue of refunds is devastating especially when handled like this.since it was an agent that facilitated your application/admission,i feel he has the appropriate contacts in connection of getting your refund. You may have been mailing the inappropriate contacts responsible for that. Likewise during mine,my admission officer aided the processing of mine, she later handed me over to another lady involved specifically for matters concerning international refunds and student activities.though i just got part of some payment because fee increment made me paid twice,i am still expecting the remainder |

Good morning guys you are really doing a great job here, please keep it rolling I'm wishing everyone of us successes in our application... I'm new to this trend and would like to confirm some info from you guys... I believe your Infos would be helpful in my application process. * I'm applying for master degree program at U of Sask for the fall intake... I sent a mail to one of the factuality staff at my department of interest... He already did my cgpa grading conversion to 71.7% for my Programme of interest and said I'm qualify to apply. My questions are: 1. I'm I required to pay for tuition fee before departing Nigeria to Canada? 2. What are the process required in booking my appointment at the Canadian embassy in Nigeria? 3. What are the checklist require for my visa documentation and the best method to consider for my visa application? cuz i learnt there is online application and others. 4. As regards my sponsorship, I have someone that can provide me with my local government statement of account can I go for it and what's my chance of been approved? If I'm gonna use my parent statement of account, what's the minimum amount required to have in the account during my documentation at the embassy? Parent run a secondary and primary school can I still include the school state government letter of approval if I'm using my parents as my sponsor.., please I would appreciate any contribution that would be helpful. Thanks |

Abdoor44: 71.7% is a bit low. If possible, apply to more than one school - 3 preferably. Apply for admission and read previous thread for visa matters. Few advise ahead of visa stage: 1) if your parent school is unregistered, advise them to. 2) Advise them to build their account to an amount that will pay your school fees, feeding and still show that they can cater for themselves and your siblings. Without scholarship/funding from your university, #5m Minus your school fees and feeding is a good starting point. #Note : building the account should be done like they are building a house. Otherwise, it will be a potential visa refusal point. #Note also that LG account will require more document to convince Visa officer. Possible I guess but not as good as your parent/siblings account, if more than enough and cash flowing money is there. 2) if you don't have one, get a job related to your potential course even if you have to volunteer. Take my advise with caution, I am no expert in all I said |

ehixestgratias:its just straightforward 4.0 / 5.0 = 80% 3.0/4.0 = 75% 5.7/7.0 = 81.4% Just divide ur CGPA by the maximum obtainable GPA and multiply by 100 to get ur percentage. Don't forget to always indicate it wen writing to supervisors, don't just state ur cgpa, tell him/her the maximum obtainable also 3 Likes |

wealth360:no one said it is compulsory, its just better for one to know if he/she has "hope" if ur CGPA is "crazy" and you gat solid research intent, one can apply straight away. People get admitted without filling the form like in ur case, but it is not general. |

Bro thanks so much for your reply. Yes the school is registered under the ondo state ministry of education. But I'm not sure if the said amount of money (5m) will he available in the account at the moment That's why I'm thinking of using my LG Acct... What are the documents needed if I'm using my LG Acct.., and how to package my document is very important as I don't work with my LG.... Do you mean I should volunteer myself for job to build my profile or what...though I currently teach in my parent school...as regards my 70.1% one of there staff said I'm qualified for there admission... Which of the visa application method should I go for? Online or which one is the best for applicant... Please help with adequate Infos. Thanks Osemigho: |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by OGIYEN: 2:16pm On Oct 13, 2016 |
let me share this with everybody, all schools have grading system, when you see their requirements, check their grading system to see if your cgpa meets the requirements, E.G , if the requirements state B or B+, if you check their grading system you will find out what that translate to,most times B means 3.0 and B+ means 3.5 for some schools is 3.3, i hope this helps. thanks Riddeek: |

michV: Hello michV How long did your payment take and I want to ask if you used the 3rd party option. I want to get my refund but when was hearing here that the funds will be sent back to the originating account and I will be paid naira here it just put me off so I am considering the 3rd party option. Please guys I have an issue here . I'm 16 years old I was about to apply for my visa until myself and my parents realized I needed a custodian there in Canada . Now it would take 2 weeks to process . So I don't think I can apply for the visa till November 1st and my school resumes on the 5th of january . I'm kind of nervous as I don't know if I would make it on time or rather get the Study Visa on time without deferring my application . If you have any suggestions please let me know . |
