It's true Robinho won titles and has his share of accolades but fact is he didn't fulfill his "wickedly talented" potentials.... He failed to live up to his name as "the new pele".


That's one thing with most of these brazillians... They taste a little success and they just relax.

Same thing even happened to Ronaldinho.

They could have achieved much much more.

Look at Messi and C.Ronaldo... These are examples of players who are doing everything to fulfill every ounce of their potential which is why they have done things others have never done....

Robinho, Ronaldinho and even Kaka didn't reach such heights.

This is why I'm glad to know some of our youngsters like Nacho has his eyes fixed on players like Messi, Pele and Even Van Basten.

African players simply have less opportunities than Brazilians... Not many top European teams will stick their neck out for a top talented African youngster. Even the transfer fees they pay are undervalued.

Brazilians have a better league and as such produce more quality. By the time, many players leave for Europe, they are no longer youngsters.They can not improve anymore.

If a player like JJ was European or south American, he would have played for the best clubs and refined his talent. He had raw talent.

Just like Brazil has had success stories, there has also been expensive flops.

If Brahimi plays then we might have a problem, but if he doesn't we could have an advantage there, we could play a narrow left defence which means Onazi will be predominantly the LB while Echejile plays as a second LCB, it's complicated and since our players don't play in top teams it will be hard, so we just have to manage and pray
