MrDavidson: Obiwiz:Glo have tried, we should be grateful at least, especially in this period of economic recession. They are currently sponsoring in other sectors, so it doesn't inculpate them for failing to replicate such benevolence in the educational sector of the nation. MTN is assumed to possess the highest number of clients/subscribers so one should anticipate them to provide more CSRs when compared to others. And I can axiomatically state that Glo is currently offering the cheapest and one of the most efficient/durable data bundles, so they should be encouraged, not reproached. |

blueto:It's not a reproach; it's about doing something worthwhile. Remember the cliché: "rather than giving me fish continually, teach me how to fish"? I'm just opining that they do something that has longterm effects. Glo is a very masses-friendly company, no doubt, but they need to up their games to stay in the competition. |

blueto:In a country like Nigeria, CAF awards, Super Eagles... really? I think they're simply using those avenues for marketing and advertising discreetly. Agriculture, Education,Health sectors are crucial for a country like Nigeria. These have more direct impacts on the average citizens. Glo as our national carrier(dunno if I am correct) should be involved in the education sector in Nigeria. Two Nigerian universities offer majors in Telecommunication. FUTMINNA=Telecommunication Engineering & UNILORIN=Telecommunication Science, but globacom isn't actively(or at least passively) present in any of these departments. It is unacceptable by every standard. |

blueto:I disagree. I've observed they put their money where they think a fat gain can be seen. Which means they don't view education as such. All those cash wasted on crap glo ambassadors here and there could have just been pumped into education, and we would be thanking their influence in that sector; he doesn't need to get monetary gain, but a satisfaction that he is Re igniting the legacy of a generation. Misplaced priorities I'll tell you. and to think that it's an indigenous company again....?? no that's uncalled for. All the same na them sabi |
