boluwagin: Points to Consider: 1. Pick a location where you have family so you can get post delivery care and cut out accommodation cost. 2. Search properly for Hospitals in Dallas, there are a couple of them. Visit their website and i am sure you would find a 'find a physician' link or a contact you can call. Negotiate since you would be a selfpay patient. 3. Assuming you have gotten your Visa, you can use a Doctor's correspondence from Houston for POE if you cannot get one from a Hospital in Dallas. 4. Also give preference to Hospitals that accept prepayment via Form A etc. You may be able to save some $ there. 1 Like |

lobus: Thank you so much @lobus for the quick response. 1) I have families in both dallas and Houston but i'm gonna be more comfortable in dallas especially with post delivery care. 2) I already did and got JPS but whenever I call they keep transferring my calls. |

boluwagin: I'm also considering very affordable hospital, the likes of oakbend... |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by lobus: 8:56pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
boluwagin: I just searched and found 8-9 OB/GYN associated with the JPS Hospital. Check each of them for their contact details using below link and call them each http://practitioners.jpshealthnet.org/?SortBy=Weighted&SortDirection=Asc&Specialties=7 You would have to put in more work on the search and keep calling. 2 Likes |

lobus: I got same phone numbers I have been calling and my calls been transferred... |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by dere5: 9:41pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
boluwagin: Is it that when they transfer the calls,no body picks up at the other end or what? I remember having a similar scenario when I called some hospitals/Dr's office ,in some instances I had to wait for like 10-15mins after transferbefore someone picked up,so I will advise you keep trying and be patient,if you situation is similar to what I just described. |

chloe7:I saw my mom do this severally. Don't shred it, just spread the leaves on a tray, leave it to air dry(no sun). Keep it in a place that has shade, don't spread it under the sun. The sun dries it up excessively and causes it to darken. Dont wash it before airdrying. After a few days it will become crisp. You wash only when you want to use it. It doesn't loose the bitter taste. I just discarded some leftovers from omugwo of 5 years ago 3 Likes |

dere5:. My exact thought!. How many months are u going for? Pls I think 4packs of milk and a cartoon of oriental noodles or other type of noodles without chicken written on it should be enough . Remember you have other foods stuff to carry plus u will also eat out. Don't carry what u dont or won't need.u will need the space to carry baby things back |

@ ezemistic, have u explored money gram or Western union. Get people in Nigeria to send it to you, it should be cheaper than black market. |

Sending money thru Moneygram/Western union is almost as difficult as sending money to heaven now frm my personal experience in d last 3 wks. Also d greedy, long throat, hungry & poor Fund transfer officer 'egunje' increases d cost. slimwendy85: 2 Likes |
