Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Nobody: 3:58pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
JayJustus:MTN is a criminal organisation assisted by a very corrupt society like Nigeria.. we celebrate 4G in less than ten select communities in Nigeria out of thousands and millions of communities.... this is nothing but scam and fraud. I loaded MTN 3.5G data since October 1st and till now I have not been able to use 500MB! yet I have exhausted Airtel 5G n reloaded 10G on Airtel.. thanks Airtel with Airtel You don't need any fraudulent 4G to surf and download effectively! |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by JayJustus(m): 4:49pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
GrandMufti: yes...send 4G to 131 and you'd get a reply stating if your device is compatible and if your SIM has been upgraded...if you get green lights on both ends then FAM turn on that LTE and blaze off to Uranus |

JayJustus:so you feel that all of us live in areas where there's 4G connectivity? or that I have no right to express my ongoing experiences with MTN data services...as shown in the screenshot? I will not tolerate such impetuousness from you or anyone else. FYI check how we have been relating on this thread before your outburst... learn to be civil in engaging others even when they have different opinions.

ironheart: Hello, i think if ure rooted and you use the updater app to update yr phone, it might get bricked. i read it in miui forum |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by ironheart(m): 4:11pm On Oct 15, 2016 |
BuzzRay:sorry bro. i get update right from the updater app on my phone. why do i need root? you should always unroot the device before update, switch to developers rom and you wouldnt regret it |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by BuzzRay(m): 4:41pm On Oct 15, 2016 |
ironheart: I have heard cases of users who unroot before update, but their phone stil got bricked, its scary. Developer roms are great but not free from bugs. I prefer the gobal rom. Are you rooted? If yes what are the ways you updated without being stuck on bootloop.(i hate updating with Mi flash) Am asking because i don't currently use a miui phone, planning on getting the redmi 2 soon, although i have used redmi 1. |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 11:32pm On Oct 15, 2016 |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 11:39pm On Oct 15, 2016 |
BuzzRay:I actually updated my rooted phone from miui 7 to miui 8 through the updater app. I only lost root privilege after the update. Since most of the apps I had bought while rooted still works even after losing root access, I see no reason to root for now. After switching to developer rom, I think custom roms( its a major reason for rooting) look useless to me for now. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Ochasky23(m): 11:51pm On Oct 15, 2016 |
Gptech:I'm interested please,how do I get it? |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by ironheart(m): 6:36am On Oct 16, 2016 |
BuzzRay:most of what you typed are just fears. I am not rooted but developer rom on miui are quite stable. As a matter of fact when u are on it you do not need root. Most of what i need root for are already installed. I use a MI4 n its been working great. I have never encountered a boot loop. I will advice you have a copy of the rom on your SD, that way you could easily flash it from recovery when ever you mess things up |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 7:13am On Oct 16, 2016 |
seyema:Of course yes, its a very capable device. If not that I consider 5 inch small, would have grabbed it long ago. For memory, would rather sacrifice 1 sim. |
